Flashback.
On the outskirts of the town there was a cottage which sheltered many innocent lives under it's roof. The orphanage was supported by charity events and fund raisings but past few years it was on the verge of deterioration .
The Snow that were covered the trees were starting to melt as the spring was approaching. The trees which were dead were suddenly returning to life just like the pink cherry Buds were bursting and coloring the lives of people. And in this early spring two beautiful hearts were bursting with love, their eyes filled with innocence and a light of hope.
A middle school boy dressed in his school uniform and despite the cold was standing bare hands, without enough clothing, in front of the flower shop. It was his tenth visit in the past week and the shopkeeper was still not ready to hire him as he was underage despite his capabilities. At last he thought to give it a last try but he was rejected again . As he was living the shop with a dejected face , an old lady was entering the same flower shop. The boy's eyes were fixed on the new and luxurious car, with awe . As he was admiring the car from which the old lady had just exited, a silvery light caught his vision . He bend and saw that just beneath the passenger seat, in front of the tire, a silver coin with an emblem of dragon embedded in it was lying there. The boy was smart enough and within a glance he was able to know that the coin was valuable .He picked it up and went inside the shop.
He asked the old lady if she has lost any coin and by seeing the panic look in her eyes he instantly concluded that the coin was hers and decided to return it to her.
The boy then said, "This coin looks precious and so I would like to get reward for returning it to you safely."
The old lady immediately replied, "Oh dear! you don't know how much this seal means to me. It's a gift from my deceased mother and of course I'll reward you very well for returning it to me."
The boy asked her to pay his bill for buying the flowers and nothing much. He bought a bouquet of nine roses[1] and was about to leave when the old woman asked his name . Without turning he replied, "Sebastian" and running with a great enthusiasm he headed towards the orphanage.
The old woman looked at the boy's disappearing figure and ordered her assistant who standing there silently the whole time, to find out everything related to the boy.
When Sebastian reached at the entrance of orphanage he saw a cute little girl holding a shovel in her pale chalky hands. Sebastian ran in her direction hiding the bouquet behind him. He took the shovel from her hand and rested it on the snow pile. He holded the girl's wrist and pulled her towards the bench.
The girl saw the eagerness in Sebastian's eye's and asked in a cute kiddie voice, "Sebastian what is it ? You look very happy . Have you found another free food coupons or what? "
Sebastian pressed her to sit on the bench and then he replied, "No it's not food coupons and neither is it any thing that can fulfill our daily needs but it's a promise".
The girl looked confused and before she could say anything Sebastian took her hand and handed over the bouquet to her.
There were total nine roses in the bouquet and seeing them the girl remembered that once she told her friend that nine roses symbolizes eternal love and if she ever have a boyfriend then she'll ask him to give her a bouquet of nine roses as a gift, not knowing that someone was listening to her conversation.
Sebastian said, "Will you be my eternal love and stay with me forever".
The girl's face was showing a surprised expression like someone has just announced her as winner in a lottery. Her eyes were getting teary as her emotions were brimming . The words she wanted to say were stuck in her mouth. She wanted to confess her feelings and emotions that she had never told him until now but all she was able to say was ,
"yes". Then she took three roses[2] from the bouquet and gave him back. She thought that if she can't say then showing through her action would be easy and less embarrassing.
However when Sebastian took the roses his expression changed and with a dejected face he asked, " Why are you returning them. You don't like the roses that I brought."
The girl puffed her cheeks due to anger and replied in a irritated tone, "This is my reply and don't you ever break your promise." She covered her face with her small hands to avoid the embarrassment she was feeling.
Sebastian tried to decode the meaning of her words and when he saw her reddened ear, he got his answer. He pulled her hands to see her face. He wanted to see all of her reactions . Her every moments, happy or sad, he wanted to live them with her.
The girl realized that his hands were too cold and without saying anything she started to rub them .
Suddenly there was a low rumbling sound and both of them looked in the direction from where the sound was coming. It was there stomach that was rumbling due to hunger.
The boy then took her hands and intertwined them, locking his fingers with her like he would never let her go. He then placed their hands in her pant's pocket.
"Look now this way we both will be warm" Sebastian replied sincerely.
However when the girl looked at Sebastian and was unable to find any trace of mischief then she replied in a childish tone, "Sebastian you idiot!" and ran away inside the cottage.
Sebastian ran after her shouting her name, calling her to stop. "Stella wait. Stella what's wrong. Stella wait".
