Chereads / A Foretold Love / Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Getting off at the bus at the terminal we gathered in our groups before being led by the teacher. The first place we went to was the museum of science and history than art and music. After going around the city and taking down notes of the site we were given a break. We all split up at the center and were told to meet at the terminal in an hour. I and Hina walked around the shop, Hina going into almost every store she saw.

"Oh my god, look at these styles. Its official Asami, I'm moving to Tokyo." She put on a serious expression that was hilariously unmatched with her cute face. I chuckled at her and shook my head. There was nothing good about this place.

"oh please these stores are the only good that I ng about the city. The simple life in the countryside is much more peaceful. Hina teasingly rolled her eyes at the city girls' remark. "Yeah, everyone from the city says that." Asami grabbed the girls arm to continue looking around.

"oh come on."

After a while of walking, Asami was tired. She was the type of girl who never likes crowds or shopping. Hina went to the stores herself as Asami sat on a park bench getting some rest. She started at the scenery of the familiar park. Her mother didn't go out often in fear her father would find them gone and come looking for them to beat them. Her eyes hated over as a knot in her throat formed, she took a deep breath to calm down down her emotions. As she finally breathed calmly again she heard a voice behind her. "Asami?" She turned to look at the person calling out to her and it was Hiro, her ex-boyfriend. Great meeting him means bad luck for the entire day. I might go to the temple and bless myself. "What are you doing here? I thought you moved?" He casually talked to the girl as if they had no prior conflicts and it was a peaceful breakup. All Asami wanted to do was punch him. The usual pacifist Asami was afraid of violence but jerks like him revoked an unknown feeling of hatred in her. She ignored him and got up to leave. He suddenly blocked her path and stopped her from leaving. "move." Hiro didn't budge, "come on Asami, I just wanna talk." she rolled her eyes at his pretentiousness. "I don't want to talk to you." she sidestepped his block and walked away. She was blocked again by him. This time she almost did punch the lousy excuse of a human.

"Well I do, Asami just waits will you!" His persistence in talking to her as if they were still close finally hit her last straw. She exploded in rage, glaring at him with fury.

"No, I'm not waiting for you anymore ok! I'm done with you, have been for the past three months. I have been doing great without you so don't think you have any right to barge into my life again." Asami was usually a quiet and gentle girl. She never started conflicts, she never confronted people, she was always warm and gentle. So facing her fury for the first time Hiro was left stunned.

"Asami, please I'm sorry. I heard about what happened. I should have been there for you, you know I never meant to leave you like that." His fake sincerity made Asami want to throw up. She scoffed at his pompous demeanor. She left no room for a reply when she talked back. She had been holding it in for far too long. She was sick and tired of being hurt by people. This time she wouldn't be the weak one.

"No, you meant it. You meant to hurt me, to leave me, to destroy our relationship. I gave you more than enough chances and your indifference led us to this point. Please do yourself a favor and leave before you embarrass yourself further." Her tone, not her eyes displayed sadness, regret, or feelings. of hurt. She was talking to someone who had no relations to her and people with no relation to her couldn't move her emotions. Hiro remained stubborn however and refused to leave. He always was the one on the winning side so being refused like this hurt his ego.

"No, I'm not leaving without you." He grabbed her hand tightly and pulled her closer to him. Surprised by his abrupt movement, she almost fell over. Steadying herself she looked at him in anger, trying to pry her hand away.

"Are you crazy let go! I'm not going anywhere with you!!" Hiro dragged her by force, his eyes filled with rage. He had officially lost the last bit of humanity and Asami had finally started feeling afraid of him.

"Come on!"

"Hiro!" She resisted strongly yelling at him to let go but he continued to drag her. She begged someone to help her and in her heart the person she was calling out for help to was Fuji. Right when she did call out, a surprisingly familiar voice called out. Fuji had seen what seemed like a couple fighting but the back of the girl seemed so familiar to him. It was only when she heard her screaming at him did she recognize her voice. He ran over, worried about the girl's safety. He grabbed the hand holding Asami and smacked it off.

"Asami? Asami! Hey, let go of her, you psycho." How was surprised by the sudden interference of the stranger? He looked up to see a good-looking boy with chestnut-colored hair and warm brown eyes. He was tall and lean for his age. Hiro got angered even more wondering who he was to Asami.

"who the hell are you, stay out of it." Fuji fed up with the boy's arrogance as if he was righteous took Asami's hand and pulled her behind him. Asami smiled behind him, touched by his protectiveness of her. "Who the hell are you, Asami isn't going anywhere with you. Get away from her before I make you regret it." Hiro scoffed at the young boy not feeling threatened.

"oh yeah, and what are you gonna do about it?" Fuji smiled mysteriously. "Don't say I didn't warn you." Hiro confused just continued his front. He felt the innocent-looking boy wasn't the type to fight.

"Hmph, whatever."

"Asami duck."

"what?" Fuji abruptly yelled towards her and when Asami looked at him in confusion he was already running towards Fuji. Smacking him upside the head, Asami and Hiro both were taken aback. Before she could process anything he took her hand.

"‐Agh!" Hiro cried out in anger and started chasing after them. Asami being led by Fuji by the hand couldn't even believe this weird situation.

"What the–?!"

"let's run!" The continued to run until they were in the center of the town. They finally got rid of the nuisance and leaned against the wall to catch their breaths. "Huh, Fuji-Kun why did you?"

Asami confused by his actions questioned him. She was boys'hed by the usually calm boys' willingness to go all out for her. She thought back to the incident and could only laugh at Fujis' payback.

"save the questions for later! we have to go now."

They both smiled at each other, going back towards the terminal where Hina was waiting for them. She saw the two coming together and she knew her friend would interrogate her later.

As the two sat together on the bus they went back to the topic. of the incident. Asami started at him with a rare bright smile. Fuji grinned at her, he was caught in a daze almost at the beauty of her smile.

"well, that was fun," Asami remarked at him teasingly.

"Wow, you didn't seem like the confrontational type." He commented in a half-serious and half teasing tone.

"Should I have stayed out of it?" She looked at him with warm eyes thought caught his breath. She softly told him in a voice that seemed enchanting to Fuji.

"Nope, thank you. you looked really cool back there."

He snapped out of her charm trying to control himself in front of her.

"of course I was aiming to impress."

she chuckled deciding to reward him.

"well, it was a bit successful." He raised an eyebrow at the remark. "a bit?" She smirked at him and arrogantly raised her head.

"it'll take more work to break me, Kitamura."

He saluted her jokingly but the comment he made held the utmost sincerity. "game on then, Yukino."

Asami knew it wouldn't be long before she would surrender to his persistence.

"How sweet, why haven't the heavens sent someone for me."

"Huh? Hina!"

"really Hina?"

Both blushed red and scooted away from each other not realizing they had been so close. Hina smiled at the two lovebirds. She knew she'd be congratulating the two soon.
