Vi was beyond heartbroken - but Vi who had memories from his past life recently recovered after such traumatic experience, at least had better mentality with those past memories. It still took years to move on, and it still pains him when he remembers the family he had. But life has to go on. Eventually 2 years later an old magician scholar, Magi Timaeus took notice of Vi - and wanted to take him in as a student because of his talent in magic. Vi was very interested in magic and agreed.
