The car stopped at another large mansion. Seeing how big the private mansion which belonged to Han XiGuang and his extended family, she could guess Han XiGuang's family was as big as the Wu Family. Being born in an elite community, Wu SuYi should have known Han XiGuang better but all the time she was kept close from the outside world, locked and ignored by all members of her family.
Regardless of Han XiGuang's wealth, he was always one to show her a calm and compose attitude, without showing too much. His effortless way on doing things make it enjoyable to stay beside him that she wasn't aware of how powerful he actually was.
When the car was stopped the security came to check on the car. Once he saw the plate number and Han XiGuang's prominent profile that seemed as if it was carved out of jade, he quickly walked behind, giving signal for the door to be opened.
Wu SuYi saw what happened, guessing the master of the house had warned the security not to bother Han XiGuang if he were to come to the house, and treat him with upmost respect.
After making a three minute ride across the garden, the car finally stopped in front of the mansion. Han XiGuang wasted no time to jump down from the car, holding an impeccable frightening face filled of anger.
Wu SuYi followed him after, seeing at once as she closed the door of the car, she was met with a woman in pale green Qipao, holding her hands out as soon as she saw Han XiGuang. Wide smile across her red lips were fresh as though she had been preparing herself with makeup, waiting for someone.
"Oh XiGuang my dear!" Aunt Liu shouted merrily as she made her way down the small staircase, completely ignoring Wu SuYi's presence. But Wu SuYi was more concerned with how deadly Han XiGuang glared down his aunt.
He stepped away, not allowing for the woman to come near. The action surprised Aunt Liu and the reaction could be seen clearly from her eyes.
"XiGuang? What's wrong? It's been roughly five months since we last saw each other. Won't a hug be appropriate to celebrate our meeting again?" The woman questioned.
That was oddly a specific amount of time, thought Wu SuYi, thinking in her mind if the woman had waited patiently and counted for the number of the months, therefore knowing when was Han XiGuang's last visit to her house.
"We need to talk," Han XiGuang's expression was icy, so icy that the rest of the people near Aunt Liu could tell he was angry.
"Oh please, don't be that stiff. That side of yours is always taken from that father of yours," the woman lightheartedly responded as though she didn't know the current expression riding on Han XiGuang's expression. Or perhaps, she was pretending not to see.
"Aunt Liu. This is my last courtesy. Come inside so we can talk," Han XiGuang warned. The change of his tone was quick to change the once warmth air to a freezing one.
"Wh— What happen? You are scaring me," the woman nervously laughed. As she turned her eyes, she caught sight of Wu SuYi where her eyes narrowed. "Who is this girl? Xi Guang didn't I ask you to be a little more careful on the partner you choose to sleep with? You know more than me our family reputation is at stake if you cannot follow our social status."
Wu SuYi frowned, hearing the woman spoke more, "What our Han Family need is a lineage of perfection! We cannot allow more defect to enter this family. That woma—"
SLAM
Han XiGuang's anger had been simmering inside his heart. He had been quiet, but it didn't meant he was tolerating his aunt. Slowly, he was trying to control his anger so he wouldn't have to choose to more of his flaws in front of Wu SuYi.
But this woman. She really know how to test his thin patience.
Aunt Liu and Wu SuYi was in shock after hearing the loud noise. They turned their face, seeing Han XiGuang who had slammed his fist to the wall, causing the old pillar to crack and fractured.
"I don't need more second of my time to be wasted by hearing your bullshits," he stated sternly, like a blade ready to take life. "Who I bring with me is not of your decision to make."
Wu SuYi saw his face turned to her, startling her a little even though she knew she wasn't the reason for his anger.
"Come with me," he said. Even though his voice was harsh and cold earlier, there was a difference in warmth as he had spoken to her.
He entered the house as though it was his and Wu SuYi followed from behind. She saw the woman who was called Aunt Liu making her way behind them in fear, clasping her hands together as she realized she had dug a big grave for herself.
Han XiGuang took the drawing room, warning all the servants to leave the room at once. Wu SuYi awkwardly made her way to the corner of the room when she felt a warm bracelet clasped on her wrist, turning her face, she saw it was Han XiGuang's big hands that took hold of her.
"Sit beside me," he requested.
"I don't know what I can do to help you. She doesn't seem to like me either. I don't want to make any more trouble," by trouble she meant not wanting to add another reason for Han XiGuang's anger to flare up. Knowing the woman would drop another one or two low remarks to her judging by her criticizing gaze earlier.
"But having you beside me, makes me calmer. I did promise not to make Rui the last person in the family again. He won't be meeting Aunt Liu ever again as she doesn't deserve to have him beside her ever again."
"It's your decision, Rui would not blame you for any of it," Wu SuYi consoled, receiving his smile that warmed her heart.
"Before it is too late, I have to tell Rui about what others could never do to him. What happened today would never happen ever again," Han XiGuang's fist tightened, his words swearing an oath for himself which Wu SuYi admired.
Her father and brothers, they never cared for her even though they were her closest family who shared the same blood as hers. Seeing Han XiGuang's unconditional love to Rui never failed to make her heart overfilled with happiness and trust to humanity again.
"I'm sure it won't happen again. Let's finish this and meet Rui as soon as possible, I'm sure he will be happier to see you beside him when he woke up."
Han XiGuang stared at her, his eyes widening in admiration, "Yes. You know him well."
