Chapter 5 - 2.2 - The sun shouldn't set anymore.

08-15-08 *Noon

Clouds began to drift, the trees were swaying, the sun hides atop the clouds, while the train continued to move forward that feels unending. With my eyes closed darkness can only be perceived although the image I imagine is far from dark. I didn't feel isolated by my own little world, my perspective of the world started to change. That there is still something worth living for, it's not the same for your beliefs I suppose, I opened my eyes.

This moment carved into my mind. Although the breeze can't be felt through my skin I know I feel it. Green grass danced side wards it was afternoon. I glanced to the opposite of the window and it appeared to be that Anna did also fell asleep. I smirked.

*vzzzzzt.....

My phone vibrated, it was a message from my classmate asking where the hell am I. "I should just ignore it." That's what I was thinking however, Anna woke up and asked. "What will you tell her?" I turned off my phone. "Is it fine to ignore it?" She pestered. "It's not really that big of a deal." I replied with a clear tone. I ignored such things and solely gaze at the window.

Was it really fine to be this way? It's fine to just skip some days it is just self-study and teachers don't even come anyways. I tried convincing myself and I managed to ease my mind.

We stopped beside a mountain and marched forward. We were at the backside of the mountain what awaits us there is something that doesn't exist on the city. "I'm glad we went today." I uttered. While it sounds a bit of an exaggeration this place is overwhelming, I observed and admire the scenery in silence. As we walk to the top, I can't wait to look at the view atop. "You're really pumped up aren't you Ai?" Anna cheerfully said. We were walking at a slow pace to take our time, I hear various sounds sticks were rustling, constant cries of birds flocking together, and the air tingling through this skin of mine. "Are we at the middle yet?" Anna gasp out of exhaustion. "Now that we got closer it would take at least ten minutes I think to reach almost the top." If something was unpleasant it was climbing the vile peak of the mountain.

Out of nowhere sweat is constantly accumulating on my body, it's too tiring. Footsteps are continuously going I take a quick look at my back and Anna is getting ready to run.

At full speed...

"Are you seriously gonna walk, Ai? Why don't we have a little contest and see who can get to the top faster?" She challenged me. If it can speed up our pace rapidly then I guess, I can. "Okay but first of all we--"

"Run...!" She yelled. Anna sprinted and left me behind. "Oh well. I guess a handicap for her is better, time to have fun." I started running at a slow tempo before continuously going at a rapid rate. "Go!" I let out a war cry. "I never felt like this before, I'll give you my gratitude Anna thanks." For a moment, I smiled innocently as if forgetting the cruelness of the reality. After I had told her that, I didn't stop running until I reached the peak.

"Geez, so you finally let me see your otherworldy smile Ai...aen" She smirked. "Wait for me!" She ran with all her might. How life is full of surprises, I don't regret the choices that led me to this moment.

For now...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Enveloping the surroundings it was past 2:00 pm the heat was stronger than before it was unraveling. "I got her first." With a peace sign extended, I wasn't aware that I was smiling the whole time. "Yeah you beat me Aiaen." Anna called me by my first name. I stood there quite surprised silently. "Is it unsettling to call you Aiaen?" She questioned me feeling distant. "It's just that you always call me Ai and I thought you called me that way cause you never knew my first name." My smile was replaced with dismayed, the atmosphere changed.

"I thought that if I call you Aiaen it would seem like we are really close as if we're childhood friends, so I refrain from doing so." "Isn't calling someone by a nickname means that you're better friends than calling someone by their first name?" I uttered. "It's fine to call me Ai or Aiaen now that I know that you know my first name I don't mind any of the two." I followed the mere second of silence.

"Ok then, I'll continue to call you Ai but if I felt like calling you Aiaen I would do so." She smirked. "Doesn't that mean that you prefer both?" I asked. "I guess so." She replied without a hint of knowing that to me she is the friend I will always cherish and I don't want to forget this moments that we created.

Not now... and never forever.

After that the sun rest above the iridescent clouds. We sat there relishing the time of now and the worries, the regrets, the frustrations, and emotions that are hiding in our hearts are slowly fading refilling our hearts with a blank white.

So that we can redo again.

However, it's not that easy, especially when your begotten by someone dear to you.

I hate that feeling. Although I seemed to forget that for this moment only
