Archer~
I watch her out of the corner of my eye. I am still surprised I could never see it before. In her stride, the same stride i have. The way she holds herself is of pride and dignity, The Pride you gain from winning a battle.
"Why're you staring at me?" She demanded. I shrugged, resisting the urge to glare. Theres something about her that's aggravating. But at the same time...
"Who says I'm staring?" I demanded. She laughed, her green eyes gleaming. I felt a slight blush settle on my cheeks. She has an adorable laugh.
"The way your looking at me, that's who" She taunts, stopping to sheathe her violet blade. I grinned. Then she froze.
"What do you want from me?" She demanded. I raised my brows, frustration filling me.
"To be friends!" I breathed in a exasperated tone. I narrowed my eyes at her.
"Youd know if I wanted anything different " I added, before turning away.
"So you spent 40 gold pieces on me. To be my friend?" She demanded, crossing her small arms. I stopped, looking at her, almost wincing at the disbelief in her gaze.
"I dont have many friends" I answered, giving her a dark look.
"My only other friend than you, lives in a library and never gives me the time of day. So sorry if I dont know exactly how to make friends " I mutters. She hummed to herself, her eyes darkening.
"Or your just trying to get in my pants" She hissed. I glared, feeling rage grow in my gut.
"Sorry to break it to you, Lionheart, But if I wanted Sex, youd be the last person I turned to" I growled, stepping closer to her.
"And I'm sorry, that you're too cruel, too bitchy, to accept kindness. Because you may not get a lot of that here." I added. She stepped back, her eyes widening, tears pricking in their dark green depths.
" Lionheart I-" I started but she raised her hand, a tear slipping down her cheek.
"No. Dont call me that, and Have a good day" She exclaimed before she turned around, heading into the town.
I looked down, at my hands, guilt filling me. And then I screamed in rage, punching a wall, before spinning on my heel and walking away from her.
Lucinda
I stand in the forest, hiding by a tree as my mother faces a man, His dark green eyes as haunting as a bitter forest, his black hair as dark as midnight. He is grinning.
"Oh Oh Emma, My dearest Emma. You left dear Sebastians bedside for me? Did you get my message? About the alliance I'll make with them against the Shadow King if you turn yourself over and become my wife. Just as we planned. Remember dearest?" He asked stepping closer to the woman. The dark well of his magic surge to the surface, ready to erupt if she made and sudden movements .
"No. I came to make you burn" She hissed before Fire, red, gold and orange rained around them in a billowing cloud of colors and heat. Travis can barely blink as the fire spirals down and through his heart, or as Emma fell to the ground her fire eating her life away.

I gasp sitting up. The first lights of dawn shine through my window, the pale moonlight illuminating my pale skin. I sat up, looking around the small house that I managed to get into for the night. I stepped into the bathroom, looking at my beautiful face. I glare at myself. God why was I so rude to him. Now I may have lost him forever.
I wish That I could hide in the shadows. I open the make up bag I bought and started my make up, lining my green eyes with black inky eyeliner, putting on mascera. I step into my wardrobe and pull out the darkest outfit I have. A black pair of jeans with a black t-shirt and black and gray cotton jacket. I let my hair ran down around my shoulders, nearly to my waist in height. I pull on my black combat boots and strap My sword, Who I decided to name Soul-wrencher on my back. The sword had hummed in agreement. As soon as I step out of my house already I feel eyes on me. I walked silently to the grocery store where a man about my age nervously started trying to chat me up for a customer. I ignore him as I scan the knives in the cases on the wall. One catches my eye immediately. It is a long wicked looking black knife with glittering purple specs on it. I grab it and slip it onto the counter, before sauntering over to the food section, grabbing the best fatty food I can and a necklace with a amulet hanging from the rope. The amulet is black and gray with a swirl and flicker of flame designed on it. For the ones who admire fire and warmth. Who worship The Phoenix. The large bird that claims to have taken home inside Emma Baeron's heart.
I set my stuff on the counter and lean against it patiently. The boy smiled, the grin reaching his gray eyes.
"Is this all ma'am?" He asked with a smirk. I winked.
" Of course" I replied with smirk. He blushed ferociously, his face blooming with red.
"Go ahead and take it" He said with a hopeful smile. I grinned, taking my stuff and pocketing them. As I was about to step out the door, I felt his fingers on my wrist. I turned to him, a smile playing on my lips.
"Wanna... Hang out later?" He asked, nervous energy colored his bright gray eyes. I ran a hand into his hair.
" Oh boyo. Sure. Tomorrow though I have to chill out with my groupies tonight" I replied with a smirk. He grinned with joy. I winked and he nearly squealed with joy. I left with a chuckle. I stepped into the Guard's keep and all eyes shot to me. I smiled and gave a lazy pur.
"Oh boys? Mind getting me an application?" I asked the Stations Secretaries . One, with tawny eyes and Carmel hair gave me a cold look. The other one looked bored. I gave them a lazy grin, and I knew they could feel the heat increase in the room. They looked up and finally Acknowledging me.
"What can we get for you ma'am?" They asked. I smiled softly.
" Oh an application to work here" I purred. The tawny eyed man went to speak, but before he was cringing with fear. The blade I just recently bought was piercing the wall right by his head, and blood from his knicked ear trickled down his neck.
"I wasn't asking" I hissed. I could feel all eyes shift from me to the knife. It was perfect aim.
"Any other questions?" I asked, and the Secretaries were bouncing around the files looking for the applications . I lifted my self onto the desk and smiled lazily at the guards staring at me. I grinned wildly, and they flinched.
"Anything fun happening today boys?" I asked. One of them, trembling, stepped forward.
" N-no" he stuttered. I smiled and stalked up to him. I grinned.
"Good boy. You'll be getting a raise by the end of the night" I said with a grin. Already gasps were sprouting, some silent others gaping and the last bit stuttering trying to voice words.
"No need for Application Darrel" mans voice boomed and the Secretary who wasn't cowering in fear stopped scrambling. I turned lazily to the man who spoke.
"Hello Lucinda." the cool voice spoke. My mouth nearly dropped. Archer was grinning at me. His blue eye glittered as the Guards in the station made way for him. He stopped a few feet away from me. Then he leaned in closer.
" You're hired Lionheart. And I'll get the raise for the boy now. "He whispered, his voice husky and deeper than usual. Sleep lingered in his dark blue eyes. I felt my cheeks warm. Why? I don't know.
"Then we need to talk in my office. " He said softly. His eyes were filled with something... Is it remorse??? I nod and watch him as he leaves, noticing the sway in his broad shoulders, the slight tremble in his hands. Everyone stares at him as he leaves, Awe on their faces.
"How do you do it" A woman cried lunging at me. She clutched my shoulders her eyes wide with pride.
"He never acts like that. He barely speaks to us unless he's giving us orders!!! You are amazing girl! Be my wife!" The woman screamed as she was dragged away. I smirked. Then I winked at the crowd in front of me. Each face turned red, either with jealousy or blushing. I don't know. And I definitely don't care.
A few minutes later Archer emerges from behind the desk with a envelope. I smile as He hands it to the boy, not even 16, who beams with pride at me. Then I follow Archer to his office. I step inside felt my blood run cold as the door shut.
"Arch-" I froze as his arms wrapped around me and pull me into a hug. I can feel his heavy, unsteady breath on my shoulder.
"Arch..." I whispered, My voice soft.
" I'm so sorry for yesterday. I really am" He said, his voice rough and slightly trembling. I felt a flutter inside my chest.
"It's fineArcherh" I murmur. He pulls back and smiles at me, his blue eyes brighter than usual. I stare at him, my eyes traveling from his eyes, to his cheelbones, to his lips, and stayed there. Desire quickly filling me. He mirrored my actions, then quickly turned away.
"You start tomorrow" He says in almost a whisper, clearing hid throat. I nodded and pulled the bag of gold out of my pocket, feeling my heart sink.
"Here's the forty gold coins I owe you" I say trying to keep my voice calm, but it breaks. His blue eyes widen as he sees it, then glances at me. Then he shakes his head and chuckles softly.
"Keep your money Lionheart" He whispered, his dark eyes glowing into mine. I tried to speak, but failed. All words were lost, until he broke away and stepped from the room, leaving me standing in his office, a bag of gold in my hand. I felt a sigh rush out of me. Disappointed, I run a hand through my hair. Then step from his office. I continue until I'm at the door, and over and over again, His soft voice haunts my thoughts.
I remember his touch on my stomach, his arms around me, his hands cupping the small of my back. I felt a shudder go through my spine. God I'm helpless. I grip Soul-wrencher, and draw the violet blade. I swing it around in a practiced arc, and the air parts easily. I move quickly, like fire whirling and swinging and feining. I close my eyes after a moment, before opening them. Standing to my left, was the man with silver green eyes, a smirk on his face.
"Hello Lucinda Peirce"
Archer
I can feel her breathing long after she isn't here. For hours on end I see the vulnerability in her green eyes as she tries to repay the money I'd spent on her. It had taken every bit of self control I had to leave. Leaving her alone was the last thing I wanted to do.
I splash water on my fave, jeering me out of my thoughts.
I needed so badly to apologize to her. Every minute, I heard the words ringing in my head each time more haunting than the next. For the first time I felt true desire. This is insufferable. We could never have been together . Better to keep it professional.I hope one day, maybe I can find someone to make me happy. But she isn't it. Even after the hug it was so hard to pull away. Then when she offered her money, it had taken every last shred of control to resist doing what I had longed to do.
Kiss her. But I can't. I couldn't. And I shouldn't. I feel that chill along my shoulder blades. I step out of the bathroom and walk out of the building, needing a nice long break from my work. I took a step outside, freezing as I see the most unforgettable sight I've ever seen. The man whom attacked me weeks ago, stands holding a glowing silver blade, facing Lucinda with a smirk.
"Archer get out of here" Lucinda yelled, raising her blade.
"Who's your friend, Lucinda?? Your boyfriend perhaps? " He asked tsuntingly, his silver green eyes glowing. She glared raising her blade.
Then like a fire coursed through my veins I sprinted forward, grabbing Lucinda by the wrist and trying to drag her away from something that could hurt her beyond measure
"Arch- Archer let go of me!" she nearly cried. As if in pain . I backed away as she flung herself back at the strange man. I followed her as she sprinted back st the man, her blade colliding with his so hard a loud shattering sound boomed through the forest, sparks flying as she fought ferociously.
"You seriously don't remember me? " He demanded as she flung herself forward, missing home by an inch and giving him the advantage to trip her.
" I taught you EVERYTHING YOU KNOW" The man roster before kicking her in the gut, causing her back to Archer, before she went limp. My eyes widened with fear. Is she ok?
Then Her back arched again and she screamed in pain and flung her head back before fire erupted from her, surging into a large cloud of red, gold black and orange. The colors swirling in symphony as if flowed from out of her. Then she stood, the fire whirling around her as she screamed, flinging her self forward, her blade narrowly missing his gut.
"Missed me" He taunted before disappearing in frost. Then Lucinda fell to her knees, the fire going out, her head bowed in shame. The shame of a lost battle.
"Lionheart" I breathed and rushed over to her, before kneeling by her and wrapping my arms around her. She leaned against me, sobbing into my shoulder. I gripped her tightly. We spent almost a full hour like this before She slowly rose and gave me a small smile.
"I'll see you later Arch." She said softly. I stood up. As soon as I was up, she was gone.
"I'll see you later" I mumbled to the sir where she just was.
I felt steady as I walked back into town. And stopped at the library. Evelyn was in her chair. I rushed in and swept through the shelves, looking for books on magic. On fire weilders. Eventually I found one and checked it out, and was gone without hesitation. Soon I found myself in my bedroom, book open in my lap. I stayed this way for hours, Until eventually I got tired, and fell asleep.
Lucinda
I numbly walk back to my house. I lost a fight. I lost a fight to a man I've never met before.
I was so lost in thought when I bumped into the boy at my house. The guy I promised a date. I smiled at him.
"What's your name?" I asked. He grinned lazily .
"My name is Sebastian." The name was familiar. .. So so familiar. From where. Before I could speak, he gripped my throat with ease and slammed me in a wall. I helped in pain, feeling several of my bones crack. He grinned baring his teeth.
"Be ready to scream" He hissed. Then his face changed...
His eyes turned black. I screamed misery clawed it's way into my brain, forcing memories long forgotten from my brain. Even the day my mother attacked Travis... and a wave of fire burst up with it.
Archer
Her scream was loud. So loud.
As soon as I heard it, I sprinted in her direction. She was at a house, a demon of shadows, from the looks of him, holding her against the wall. Her fire raged towards the sky, a pillar of light in the darkness. It's black. The realization hit me. That thing is forcing the magic out of her. Forcing her to a blackout, which is always worse for Fire-weilders. I cried out in rage and ran forward, but a wall of ice slammed into me, knocking me back into someone's grip.
"Don't. You'll kill yourself" His voice was hoarse but tense, like he was trying not to run to her.
"No! She'll die!" I yelled struggling in his grasp.
" She wouldn't want you to die too! " He exclaimed gruffly. I snarled. I watched with rage and horror as the shadow plunged his clawed fistinto her stomach,Stabbing into her gut, and she screamed in pain doubling over. I cried out and slammed my foot back into the man who's holding me, kicking his leg out from under him, and sprinted to Lucinda. The shadow grinned at me before vanishing, dropping Lucinda on the ground, bleeding. I caught her as she slumped over.
"Lucinda!!, Lucinda look at me... Please" I started, shaking and trembling. Her green eyes were glazed over with pain. I gripped her blood crusted hand.
"Help!" I yelled . I lifted her in my arms, she was almost weightless. Gods above she's too light, to hot and bleeding. I rush her inside the house she's taken up residency at, finding the bathroom before laying her down on the floor inside and lifting the shirt off over my head, running it under cold water and pressing it to the claw marks in her stomach. She hissed in pain, but her eyes were glazing over, the light fading.
"Lucinda don't you dare leave me. Not like this" I hissed. I gripped my knife and slit it across my palm.
"You are going to stay with me. I won't let you leave." I hissed as my blood hit her hand and mixed with her blood. She looked at me softly, her green eyes wide. Then she gasped as the last of my blood slipped through her fingers and into her stomach. Her eyes glowed orange and red, fire and embers glazing her eyes.
"Arch....er...." She gasped wheezing. I pulled her against me, cradling her head.
" don't... Leave me" I whispered, feeling my eyes burn. At that exact moment a nurse rushed in, a tonic of healing in her grasp.
"Set her down Captain Finn" The nurse ordered. I set her down and watched with a numb spreading over my body as the nurse went to work, trying to heal her. My eyes slipped over to the man who was sitting outside in the shade. With a snarl I ran outside and lunged at him, tackling him to the ground.
"This is your fault, you coward! She wouldn't be injured if you had frozen that shadow! This wouldn't have happened if you tried to save her!" I yelled. His silver-green eyes filled with remorse .
"I... Wanted to.... So badly" He voiced, his voice barely a whisper. I gripped his shirt tightly, resisting the urge to knock him senseless or throttle him. Anything that could make things worse.
"Why didn't you?" I demanded. His eyes turned dark.
"I'm here on a mission. And I can't be held back by mortal affairs. I saved your life. But next time, I'll leave you and her to die" He hissed the words with pure rage before he disappeared.
I turned around an walked back in time to see the nurse move Lucinda onto a stretcher and move her straight for her bedroom. I followed, lifting her in my arms Lucinda before placing her in the bed. I pulled a chair up beside her and waited all throughout the night.
Mae
I grunt with effort as I struggle against the guard pushing me me forward, his dark violet eyes devoid of emotion. I look over at a man besides him. His eyes are a light hazel, his black hair falling in tufts around his head. I could tell he noticed me too.
Ten years. I waited ten years in hiding for this game The King of Darkness played with everyone who serves him. That horrid violet light that had taken my mother from me. My father being the culprit. I tug at my chains, trying to break them, but to no avail.
"Pathetic Witch. Can't even break free of tiny little Chains?" The guard asked with a smirk. Oh if only there weren't innocent people here, forced to obey The Dark Whisper. Then I'd destroy thid whole damned place with my Star fire, the fire made of white silver, so cold it burns. I'd burn this whole damned town to oblivion and revel in the disastrous destruction.
I turned around about to burn the man alive. For my mother...
And he sliced the sharp blade of his arm across my arm and I screamed in pain.
Just as he moved forward, a knife pierced his heart from the back, causing him to crumple. Within seconds the other man who walked with us, was choking on his own blood.
My eyes shot to the man staring down at me. His eyes are a dark green, the shade of a forest. He is tall and muscular, his body covered in thick muscle.
"Let's go" He yelled and yanked me up by my wrist and started forward, sprinting with unstoppable speed. The alarms blared and creeping up behind us, I could feel the darkness following. My fathers magic.
"Run!" He yelled and ran faster, dragging me after him, until we reached the end of the hall. I stared, a huge window the only thing in this hall.
" What do we do! " I cried, fear creeping up my spine. I can't let what he did to Lucinda happen to me. He looked behind us and at the window, before pulling me against him, his eyes filling with uncertainty.
"Hold on" He yelled, before lifting me in his arms and sprinting straight toward the window, leaping through the glass, and laughing at the remnants raining down around us.
