I pack my bag with all the things I think I will need for my trip. Even though the carnival is in town, we still live a while away. "Where do you think you're going?" Asked a voice from behind me. And I could tell from the sound of her voice, that is was my older sister, Scarlett. I sigh. "Don't tell mom." I mumble. "I'm going to the carnival." I add. "What?!" She exclaims. "You know you're not supposed to go!" Scarlett says as she walks over to me. "I know but...have you ever thought about WHY mom won't let us to go the carnival?" I ask. "Not really. I've never really paid a lot of attention to it. And besides, we're all super busy with stuff around the house." She says. I turn, and for a split second, her sea green eyes lock with mine. Even though she wore a smile, I could tell she was trying to hide something. "What are you hiding?" I say, narrowing my eyes. "Nothing" she says quickly. "I can tell when you're lying." I say. She drops her smile and sighs. "So. You may or may not have a little sister." I stood there. Just shocked. How come I was not told about this? I asked myself. Scarlet continued. "She was born a few months after you and almost immediately became moms favorite. Her name was Addison. One year, mom took Addison to the carnival. Right before the scavenger hunt started, mom had to go to the bathroom. So she asked one of the staff members to hold her while she was gone. But when she came back, the staff member and Addison were no where to be seen. Now, I guess moms just being overprotective about us." Scarlett finished. But that got me thinking about something much bigger than mom.
