Chapter 8 - :The World Before 2

When humanity started to rise from the depths of their despair. The three axis of mankind brought an age of fortune. They used machines to compensate for the number of their enemies. They used their wit and knowledge of the powers to overcome the beast that lorded over them.

How mighty it was for them to slay those that looked down upon them. The made use of their fury to tame the world that brought forth so much despair. But humanity wasn't alone in this endeavor. Any rational civilization, whether beastly or unkind would never let the Axis rid of them forever.

And so they choose to fight the Axis who held to their power. Three World Wars that decide the fate of each civilization. Will they succumb to defeat or be victorious as heroes?

Why did the three Axis of Mankind, the Dwarfs, the Elves, and the Humans start this fight for survival? Once upon a time, there were three persons who shared a campfire. They met each other on a dusty road that led to a haven they can rest.

They started to talk about their state and somehow they started to talk about what they should do. Solve one problem at a time, then another, until they solve all the bigger problems.

Smile. They smiled and drank until the one who was left were their old friend, the long-lived, and the lonesome Trent of Green. He aided the lineage of those three into fulfilling a dream once dreamed at a campfire.

And so the Wars of Worlds started. The Axis fought the mythical beasts and turned lands into burned Wastelands. Millions of young soldiers fought in hopes that they would be able to reach that peace. The land was vast and wide. Fields of wheat that shone like gold painted the world. Fertile lands and vast lakes that could be used for drinking and fishing. It was only when the first machines rolled and thundered the air that all of it ended. The blast ended the wars and those who thought they were supreme choose compromise over destruction. It was when the moon was bright like the sun that they choose their surrender. The Patio Knights lost their armies and did not pursue. They thirst for blood. They want vengeance over their fallen comrades. But instead of fury, they choose to reason. Can they truly fight cornered animals to their death? Can they ask their battle-worn men and their families to continue a war that lasted for years?

How can they speak to those who sent their sons to battle with wet cheeks? Why did the Axis fight for a dream made in a campfire? It was all for the sake of one sweet goal. To have moments of peace of suffering and triumph.

Rest was wanted more than fury. To hold the arms of their family and sleep without a bang of a rifle or the death throes of their friends and lovers.

It was a moment of weakness that was discussed and heralded as a mistake of those who suffered the war against the creatures. Many would argue that it was not mercy but foolishness. Can we truly call those who believe they are superior to accept so easily? No one wanted that utter foolishness for a resolution. And so the pact for the Under-Society was formed to ensure that they would be hidden in the dark.

It was not about knowing where the Under-Society was. It was about how to enter and would you have the courage to enter a land filled with the enemies that sought the slavery of the Axis?

The Professor who taught the history of this world had qualms about letting them live. I know what happens. The storyline of Leonov would still continue. To meddle would be troublesome. He can handle it and I know that he's destined to take those who choose to doom this peace with him.

I've tried to meddle but the results made it clear. Meddling will only result in the adjusting of the timeline. No matter what I do it will always end. No matter how hard you alter the path of a river. You would only affect a single part of it and soon it will return the same.

I had delusions of being a Hero. I confess that I thought that maybe I would be helpful. But it was different when I saw that old man became the cause for Leonov to enter the Under-Society. The only to survive and reach the golden space tower ending was to get far away from the possible scenarios.

This world I am living in was infamous for its bleakness. After the Leonov attacked the House of Blood. That same house will not let this bloodshed go. In this world there is justice and even those who have the blood of wolves running in their veins feels that bolt of anger that surges in the hearts.

What would have done if a part of your family was slaughtered? Did they have the right to be killed when only a few were responsible for it? Would you not defend your family even if they did wrong?

Arnou Russell saw the blood of his family without knowing why and how they were slaughtered for. In the end, it all led to vengeance and in some parts, I call it his right to have his revenge for those that lost their lives.

Leonov fought those that killed that old man. Those that he killed were seen by those who knew those who were killed. They fought Leonov and failed and in order to avenge their fallen. They tried fighting Leonov and got killed for it. Arnou Russell held anger and with anger, he would find the man responsible for it without care for the pacts of men and monsters.

I had prepared for this day. I should have not entered this classroom and called that I was sick. Even though this was a world that was called that had a fixed timeline.

I don't want my friend to die in an explosion.
