On the second day of school, Noah's class was already faced with a challenge. The teacher asked them to choose a monitor for the class, but nobody seemed interested in taking on the task. It was no surprise, as being a monitor was a difficult job, but they were also required to maintain a certain academic percentage to keep their scholarship. Noah watched as nobody stood up, and the teacher's disappointment was palpable.
Later, Nova and three other students were called to the staff room. The teacher talked to them separately and tried to convince them to become the monitor, but they all refused, and now it was Nova's turn.
Teacher Sam(excitedly): Nova,My dear, I think you'd be a great fit for the monitor position.
Nova(with a blank face): Thank you, teacher, but I don't think I'm ready for that kind of responsibility.
Teacher Sam: I understand your hesitation, but being a monitor comes with its own set of benefits. You'll get extra points and merits, and it will look great on your college applications.
Nova: I haven't thought about that before. But I'm not sure if I can handle the workload. I am thinking of having a part-time job on weekends, and I want to maintain my grades.
Teacher Sam: I completely understand your concerns, Nova. But being a monitor will teach you valuable leadership skills. Plus, you're already a top-performing student, so I have no doubt that you can handle the extra workload.
Nova: Okay, I'll give it a try. But can you give me some time to think about it before I make a final decision?
Teacher Sam: Of course, take all the time you time.
As Nova walked back to the classroom, she couldn't help but feel a sense of responsibility weighing on her shoulders. She knew that being a monitor would require her to be more organized and disciplined with her time than ever before.

In class B
Lara: Hey, Nova! I heard from some friends that the teacher asked you to become the monitor for our class. Congrats! (excited, happy)
Nova: Thanks, Lara. I'm still thinking about it, though. It's a big responsibility, and I'm not sure if I can handle it. (uncertain, hesitant)
Lara: Don't worry, Nova. I think you'd be great at it. And if you need any help, I'm always here for you. Plus, if you become the monitor, I can become your assistant monitor. It'll be fun! (encouraging, supportive)
Nova: That's true. I guess it would be a good opportunity to learn some leadership skills and help out our class. (thoughtful, considering)
Lara: Exactly! And you'll get extra points and merits for your college applications. It's a win-win situation. (positive, optimistic)
Nova: You make a good point, Lara. I think I'll seriously consider it. Thanks for your support. (grateful, appreciative)
Lara: Anytime, Nova. Let me know if you need any help . I am rooting for you!.
They both smiled, and then the next teacher entered the class.

Class A
In Class A, the teacher asked the students to choose their monitor.
acher: Alright, Class A, it's time to choose your monitor. Who would like to volunteer?
Nicholas: (raises his hand) I'll do it.
Teacher: (hesitates) Does anyone else want to give it a try?
(No one else raises their hand)
Teacher: Alright then, Nicholas, you can be the monitor.
Nicholas: (smirks) Thank you, sir. I won't let you down.
(Student whispers)
Student 1: Ugh, I can't believe he's the monitor.
Student 2: Yeah, he's so full of himself.
Nicholas is wealthy, intelligent, and had a commanding presence. The teacher reluctantly made him the monitor, As he walked back to his seat, some students whispered about how they didn't like Nicholas, while others were intimidated by him except for one who readinv a book giving no attention to whats happening in class. It was clear that Nicholas was going to be a powerful figure in the class, and his leadership style was yet to be seen.
