As Nova and Lara continued walking towards the dorms, they couldn't help but hear the sound of someone crying. They followed the sound and soon came across a group of boys bullying a young boy.
Lara: (whispers) Oh no.
Nova: (frowns) What's going on there?
Lara: (points to the bullies) They're bullying that boy. We need to do something.
Nova:But .... wait !stop!
But lara ran before she could hear what Nova was going to say.
As they approached the group, they noticed that
a boy was apologising from the two other boys .As Lara intervened to stop the bullying, the bullies turned their attention towards her.
Lara:(coming in front of the boy) stop!
Bully 1: (angrily) What do you think you're doing, huh?
Lara: (firmly) We're stopping you from bullying this kid. Leave him alone.
Bully 2: (sarcastically) Oh, how brave of you. What are you gonna do? Call your mommy?
Lara: (stepping forward) You guys are the cowards here. Picking on someone smaller than you just to feel better about yourselves.
Bully 1: (laughs) What are you gonna do about it, you weird monkey from slums.
Lara: (fiercely) I'm not afraid of you. And you shouldn't be either(to victum). You're just hurting people because you're too weak to deal with your own issues.
Bully 2: (getting angry and coming forward) Who do you think you are talking to us like that?
victum: (arrogantly)so you are a scholarship student . huh ! what are you doing here? Do you think I need your help? your help? !! for God's sake, help yourself, you poor thing. I can take care of business myself.
Both bullies started laughing at Lara, and lara was left speechless she was just trying to help him, why the situation became like this.
Nova arrived on the scene a few minutes later as she was unable to cope up with laras fast running. She was already covered in sweat . She noticed that Lara was fighting with elite students, and the situation was getting out of her hands.
Thinking quickly, Nova came up with an idea.
Nova: (shouting ) Hey, I see a teacher coming. Let's go before things get out of hand.
Lara: (confused) What ....
Nova grabbed Lara's hand, and they ran away from the scene before the bullies could question her. They knew that they needed to come up with a better plan to stop the bullying, but for now, they were just glad to have escaped without any harm.
Nicolas, who was sitting on a bench nearby, seemingly sleeping, woke up from the shouting and saw Nova and Lara running away .for a moment, his eyes met with Nova, but she ran away quickly with Lara.

As they ran back to the dorms, they both were astonished that what had just happened . Nova advised Lara not to interfere among the ellite students' business.
Lara: But how was I supposed to know that he didn't need this commoners help.
Nova: (still panting from all the running) it's.. o ..ok. you ..( grasping air) You should be careful next time . but I am proud of you that you tried to help.
Nova couldn't help but feel proud of Lara for standing up to the bullies. She knew that it took a lot of courage, and she was glad to have her as a friend.
Nova: (smiling) You were amazing .....back there. I don't think ....I could have done... what you did.
Lara: (grinning and giving nova water bottle from mini fridge) Thanks, but it was useless, and your stamina is at level zero. You are catching your breath like you ran a marathon girl.
Nova: (nodding and drinking water) I agree. i am not good at physical tasks.
Lara(lying in the bed) : Not good!!, you suck. Don't worry since you saved my ass today. I will train you from today onwards.What about you joining cardio class with me I sign up for it last week.
Lara, I just can't afford to join a cardio class right now, Nova said, shaking her head. I have too many expenses and not enough time to fit it into my schedule.
Lara: But think of all the benefits! ( trying to persuade her friend) You'll feel great, get in shape, and have more energy for your studies.
Nova:I know, but I just can't commit to it right now(as she was feeling guilty).
I have to focus on my studies and my budget. Maybe someday, when things are more stable, I'll join you.
Lara :(nodded understandingly) I get it. Just know that the invitation is always open. And if you ever need any tips or motivation for working out on your own, just let me know.
After saying that Lara went to take a shower and Nova started preparing for tomorrow classes.
