Chapter 49 - Repressed memory

"You are telling me that you have seen a fragment of your past?" the man questioned while creases appeared between both of his eyebrows.

Min Soobin was seated opposite to a man, who appeared to be in his late forties. On the table was a nameplate with the words 'Dr. Kim Seokhyun' clearly imprinted on them.

"It was a slight glimpse. I wasn't able to see what it exactly was, but I am sure it is a part of my past," Soobin spoke out.

"As I have mentioned to you before, the loss of your memory is psychological; it is repressed. As long as you put in effort, you will be able to gain them. But are you really willing to gain those memories of yours?" Seokhyun stated.

"Being weak is not something I am fond of. Even if it is horrible, those memories are a part of me, and not knowing that side of me irritates me.

Over this period of time, I trained myself well to be strong to face the truth, and I don't want to be a coward anymore, especially since I have gotten a lead now," he confessed.

"Seeing that you are this determined, I know that my warnings will not be having any affect on you, and you know everything about this. Since you have finally gotten a clue after all this years, pursue it if you believe you can do it, but don't overdo it," Seokhyun expressed.

A sharp pain went through her head as Miyeon squinted her eyes open, and a groan escaped from. her mouth. Creases formed between both of her eyebrows while she sat on the bed, and raising her hand, she rubbed her forehead.

Dealing with a hangover in the early morning was not something she found to be pleasant, and this made her regret drinking the last night.

At that moment, although the memories were more or less broken and vague, they started to float inside her mind, and she recalled that she had talked about Min Soobin. However, she wasn't exactly able to pinpoint what that was.

Whatever it was, Oh Miyeon hoped that it wouldn't be anything humiliating.

At that instant, her phone began to ring, and the sound of her loud ringtone in midst of the headache brought more annoyance to her.

"Who the hell is it?" she voiced out— her countenance displaying how displeased she felt— while she took her phone from the nightstand.

Miyeon's eyes widened when she saw Oh Sookyung's name on the screen, and the expression on her face disappeared completely to that of shock. There was slight amount of horror mixed with it.

"Don't tell me that he called me because of something wrong I did yesterday! Recall, Oh Miyeon, try to remember. Think if you did anything wrong or not," Miyeon muttered to herself before she received the call.

Cautiously, she brought the phone close to her ear and softly yet awkwardly spoke out, "Hello, Mr. Min. Thank you for bringing me home tomorrow, and I apologise for any inconveniences that I might have caused you."
