"Say, do you still like my brother?" Min Taejoon questioned.
At his sudden question, Oh Miyeon's eyes widened, and choking on the red wine, she started to cough. Clearly showing how shocked she was by his question, she used the tissues to cover her mouth and wipe away the remnants.
"What's with the strange question?" Miyeon raised one of her eyebrows.
Both of them were in a private room at one of the top restaurants in Gangnam. Served before both of them were two plates of steak which was eaten up quickly by them due to their nagging hunger.
Now, while relishing the expensive red wine— which had a name Miyeon was unable to read despite her countless tries that ended with Taejoon laughing at her— they attempted to hold a civil chat between them.
As for how civil it would go, especially since they were half drunk, was something Miyeon wondered about as well. Nonetheless, there was nothing wrong with giving it a try.
"Back in those days, you used to have feelings for my brother, and before you ask me about it, it was really obvious. That's why, it had been irritating me. Do you still have feelings for my brother?" he spoke out.
"I don't see how this is any of your business," Miyeon said, "Hold on! If an idiot like you is able to notice it, does that mean Soobin also knew about it?"
'If that's the case, is that why he has been pretending to not know me? It would sound reasonable. He doesn't seem like to be someone who would want trouble in his work.'
Shrugging his shoulders, Taejoon stated, "No idea, but Soobin Hyung was really sharp. So, he might have noticed it I suppose. After all, you always followed after him like a lost puppy."
"There is no helping it if he knew about it," Miyeon voiced out, "If I had to describe my feelings for him now, I would say that I care for him and get worried for him if something happened to him.
But it is nothing that exceeds the feelings one friend as for another. A long time had passed since then, and it is understandable for those feelings of love to go away.
I can't be completely unfeeling towards Min Soobin; he was an important person to me, and maybe it will be the same in the future. Why am I being this honest to you? Must be the alcohol."
"That's great then," Taejoon said, "If you had that sort of emotions towards Hyung, I would have instantly removed you from here. Chaerin Noona and Hyung are the best match. I don't want you breaking them apart."
Raising her leg, Miyeon kicked on Taejoon's knee, earning a groan from him, and exclaimed, "You brat, what type of person do you take me to be!"
"Do you really want to know that, you old hag?" Taejoon raised one of his eyebrows.
Once again, Miyeon's feet made contact with his knee harshly before she pulled her leg back and stated, "The moment you say it, I am going to beat you up, so stay quiet."
