Xu Nangfeng smiled and managed to edge around the women, rushing to Yu Huiyin's side. "Little Yin!" he called out happily, his demeanor so different from the cool and aloof man he seemed to be before.
It was as if he had turned into a small puppy who saw its owner. It was quite the contrast, shocking the women who had gathered around him before.
Yu Huiyin was used to Xu Nanfeng's personality; he was cold to others but warm and overly attentive towards friends.
"Are you sure that it is a good idea to be here today?" Xu Nanfeng asked a little worried. "I heard that Zhao Jin has sworn to beat you up today as a payment from the beating you gave him last week."
Hui Liqiang, who was standing behind Yu Huiyin, suddenly lifted his head, his eyes alert.
Did someone want to beat up his madam? That was not going to happen when he was told to be the bodyguard; he would bet his life on protecting her. She could not even get the slightest scratch under his watch.
Xu Nanfeng also seemed to notice Hui Liqiang. He gave him a long glance, but said nothing and turned his attention back to Yu Huiyin.
"Little Yin, it seems as if you were looking for me?" he asked, slightly confused. Although he and Yu Huiyin were good friends, they usually did not have much in common, but this time it seemed as if she had been looking for him, leaving him slightly puzzled.
Yu Huiyin nodded her head and grabbed his arm, after which she dragged him away from the women and towards a secluded area.
"Hey Huiyin, if you drag me like this, I might misunderstand your intentions."
Yu Huiyin gave him a disdainful glance, after which she continued to drag him along until she found a secluded area where she stopped in her tracks, turned around, and a brilliant smile bloomed on her lips.
"Nanfeng," she called out with her sweetest voice, scaring him into almost trembling. Although she was so soft and gentle that most men would be unable to withstand her, all he saw were warning signs all over. This woman had planned something terrible.
"No matter what you say, I will not agree," he said defensively as he looked at Yu Huiyin, who began pouting upon hearing his voice.
"I want to invest," she said, her words making Xu Nanfeng stunned and then narrowing his eyes.
Yu Huiyin's background and financial situation was not unknown to the other racers, so why would she suddenly invest? How would she have the money to spend?
"I can give you fifty thousand this month," Yu Huiyin continued, "and another fifty thousand next month. I will do this for three months at most, and during these three months, we have to publish your game."
"You are saying that you will invest a total of one hundred and fifty thousand yuan into my game?" Xu Nanfeng glanced at the Hui Liqiang behind Yu Huiyin.
It was clear that she was not the same as she had been the last time they saw each other.
"Yes," Yu Huiyin decisively nodded her head. "But I am not doing it for nothing. I want fifty percent equity of the company you set up."
"Fifty percent for one hundred and fifty thousand yuan?" Xu Nanfeng began considering it seriously. Although he was not sure where she had gotten her money, he knew that she was serious.
He was equally poor, but unlike Yu Huiyin, he had no family to look after; his entire family was dead.
Where Yu Huiyin loved fighting, he liked hacking and creating gaming apps for smartphones.
But while he was able to create them, he lacked investments for marketing and to make the finishing touches on his gaming apps.
"If the game is doing well, I will invest even more into further developing the company. I won't lie, I hope that we will be able to earn money through this company within a year at most. I am not going to hide the truth from you; I plan on making a business group. My main aim is the entertainment industry, but I will likely invest in various fields."
"Where is the money from?" Xu Nanfeng's final worry was this. If it was dirty money, then he did not want them. He might be poor, but he had his morals that he would not damage just for the sake of a future.
"It's from my new job," Yu Huiyin said, her face suddenly turning dark.
"New job?" Xu Nanfeng was suddenly very curious. What kind of job could Yu Huiyin have found that made her so rich overnight, not to mention she had such a sturdy and robust bodyguard following her?
"Don't ask," Yu Huiyin waved her hand, and she was exhausted, just thinking about it.
"I will tell you about it later," she continued. "I got a new smartphone, so we can talk and meet at a later date to make the contract and talk through the final things."
Xu Nanfeng found his phone and agreed. This was like meat pies falling from the sky; he would be an idiot if he did not accept the offer she was making him.
Just as they finished exchanging phone numbers, a loud yell reverberated through the entire area.
"Yu Huiyin! You b*tch!"
"It seems that Zhao Jin is here," Xu Nanfeng laughed, not at all worried about Yu Huiyin. A big bodyguard protected her, if he could not keep her safe, then at most, she was going to be beaten up, but that was not foreign to her.
