Young Master Du was sweating profusely when he heard the words of Yu Huiyin. He knew that these shopping assistants in his store were usually somewhat picky when choosing their customers, but it was quite natural.
The assistants were given a bonus each month, depending on how many people they had signed up, but more importantly, depending on how expensive the residence they had rented was.
So when someone found a tenant who rented a flat worth twenty thousand yuan a month would earn more than someone who had two customers of five thousand yuan each.
Even so, these shopping assistants had to consider it their bad luck to cause problems for Yu Huiyin. She was backed by Xie Jingyu, and he was not someone to be trifled with.
"Call the manager," Du Weisheng had already decided to fire them, but he needed the manager to deal with the formalities such as settling their termination, their severance, and so on.
The manager came running the moment he heard that Du Weisheng wished to meet him, his face was filled with a smile, and he bowed deeply, many times over.
"Boss, what can I do for you?" he asked humbly, nearly bowing so much that his nose would reach the floor.
"These two sales assistants are not suitable to stay in my store; I wish for you to go through the procedures and fire them immediately!"
The manager was horrified when he heard this and raised his head only to see the two women in question.
His face paled slightly. One of them was his mistress!
"Boss, what have they done to offend you? Firing them is so extreme, I am sure that there is nothing that can not be solved with a simple apology."
"So, if I kill you and then apologize to your corpse, you'll forgive me?" Yu Huiyin asked, a smile on her face, but the smile was not reaching her eyes, which were cold.
Du Weisheng was scared out of his wits because of the words Yu Huiyin said. He did not know her well, but he knew of Xie Jingyu's reputation. Was this woman as much of a murderous maniac, and would she really kill his manager?
Of course, Yu Huiyin had no interest in killing him; she just wanted him to understand that it was not something that could easily be brushed away. She was not willing to let herself be bullied by anyone.
Du Weisheng calmed down after thinking for a bit, and looking at Yu Huiyin; he felt no killing intent, so he quickly looked at the manager.
"I already made my decision. Fire them, or you can follow them to become unemployed."
Gritting his teeth, the manager had no choice, and he could only bring the two female shopping guides to the back of the store, where he went through the procedures of terminating their contracts.
After this, another shopping guide was summoned. This time it was for the sake of finishing the contract and other paperwork for the rental of the residence that Yu Huiyin had been offered.
She read through the contract and found no problems, but she had Assistant Song reading through it to get a second opinion, and he said that it was excellent for her. She was quite nervous and hesitant when it came to contracts, so she read it through a few times, but after being sure that there were no issues, she signed it.
Du Weisheng felt as if a big stone had been lifted from his shoulders when he saw her signing it. He was a shrewd businessman, and now that he had some kind of connection with Yu Huiyin, Xie Jingyu would definitely pay more attention to him, and they might even be able to work together in the future.
"Where are we going now, Madam?" Assistant Song asked, completely ignoring the horrified expression on Du Weisheng's face.
"Don't call me madam; it makes it sound like I am old." Yu Huiyin grumbled, but Assistant Song continued, "You married my boss, you are naturally my Lady Boss, my Madam. I ought to show the right respect for your position."
Yu Huiyin was quick-witted and knew that Assistant Song was doing this for the sake of warning Du Weisheng. Being a lover of Xie Jingyu was indeed a good chess piece to use to get closer to him, but this was not a lover, this woman was his wife! This was completely different.
Although he could get some benefits, maybe even more benefits than what he had thought earlier, he had to be careful with how he treated her. A lover was merely something that men played with. Although she could affect his decisions slightly, she would be dumped eventually. A wife was different; that was a lifelong partner. He had to be careful with how to deal with her in the future.
Although his thoughts were churning in his mind, he did not show anything on his face and gracefully led them out of the store. They had already gotten the key to the flat, and Du Weisheng had promised to send someone to clean it within the next three hours, so that they could move in tonight.
However, there were no daily necessities, so they would have to shop for those before being able actually to live in the flat.
As they left, Du Weisheng still felt cold sweat run down his spine, and he could not help but feel that this was a trap. To marry someone without informing the rest of the world, it was simply waiting for someone to jump into the trap and kill themselves.
Shaking his head, Du Weisheng returned to the store in deep thought. Was this a secret marriage? Was he supposed to act as if he knew nothing? Or could he warn his friends and family?
