Maddie looked out her window watching the heavy storm bring chaos. She was alone and always loved watching a storm because she always knew that once a storm leaves everything around her will be beautiful again.
She hid alone just outside the city because she loved the peace and quiet which Mother Nature provides for her.
But just as she was about to relax a black car drove up to the house and out came a very tall man in a black suit. He looked like a king whom everyone respected but feared due to his cold demure.
This man walked through the rain to the front door and kicked it open. Maddie's heart stopped when she saw the man arrive and finally came to her senses when she heard a loud noise from the door. She wanted to run but her feet felt like it was bolted to the ground from fear.
The man just stared at Maddie with his cold eyes and walked swiftly towards her. He stroked his fingers through her silky long hair and smirked.
"Did you actually think you could hide from me forever?" The woman in front of him looked exactly the same but different at the same time she matured more and looked enchanting with a hint of boyish charm. She looked delicate and beautiful, but there was a touch of listlessness in her which made her seem very mysterious.
Maddie felt confused. She has never seen this man before, but there was this feeling inside her that she couldn't understand. She always had this feeling that something was missing in her life but she couldn't pinpoint what it was.
"Let's go home sweetheart." Maddie's heart skipped a beat, those words sounded so familiar.
"Who are you?" Maddie asked hoping to get some answers. The man gave her a surprised look. He searched for her for years only to find out that she has forgotten him.
"Just come home with me and I'll explain everything." The man said with a pain in his voice.
"No! I don't know you, why should I follow you?" Maddie pushed the man away from a few steps. She can't let this man take her, he seemed too dangerous.
She suddenly became alert and started to attack. The man swiftly dodged each of her attacks.
"You've gotten better since I've last seen you." The man said with a smirk on his face. "But I've gotten even better too."
Maddie's head was starting to hurt from overthinking. She couldn't remember ever seeing this man let alone fighting with him before.
"Who are you? Are you here to kill me?" Maddie demanded while still throwing punches at the man.
"I would never kill you, my little wife." Maddie stopped when she heard him say 'my little wife'. How could he know that phrase it's not possible. Who is this man?
The man thought she remembered when she stopped fighting but was wrong when he saw her expression.
Maddie had an evil expression on her face like she wanted to kill him. "If you laid a finger on him, I'm going to kill you. Now tell me. Who are you and what have you done to Marcus?"
The temperature in the room went down a couple of degrees when he heard Maddie mention another man's name.
Maddie felt a chill run down her spine as she looked at the man's cold demander as if his eyes became black like a demon. She sensed she was going to get killed so her reaction was to run.
She knew this man was stronger than her and she didn't have a chance against him, so Maddie quickly ran through the back door and fled through the thick forest.
It was raining hard which made the ground muddy making it harder for her to run away. "Maddie! Maddie! Come back."
Maddie sensed the man right behind her getting closer. Before she knew it, she was already on the ground looking up at the sky. She felt a stinging pain on her head before she backed out.
