Master Li tried to make her childhood as normal as possible but Maddie was very resilient and uninterested in normal living. He tried to convince her that one day she will need to live alone so she needed to learn some basic skills like cooking and cleaning. Maddie was already used to helping clean around the house since they didn't have a maid. Even though Maddie was already used to having servants around her when her biological parents were alive, she still felt a little OCD, so she liked to keep the place clean. By 7 she learned to cook since she was tired of take out food and Master Li wasn't the best cook.
Master Li soon got used to Maddie learning things quickly so he decided to teach her strategy skills. Every night they would play chess until Maddie became very skilled and was even better than any pros out there. He was especially happy when Maddie started to request for him to bring home puzzle. He started simple like a 500 piece puzzle but was surprised when she finished it in under an hour. So he brought home a 2,000+ piece puzzle. But was flabbergasted to watch her solve it upside down. He didn't know what to do to challenge her brilliant mind, she was even able to solve all the different sizes of Rubix cubes in under 30 seconds. He didn't know what else to keep Maddie occupied while he was away at work, so he soon decided to bring her to work with him to learn as his disciple. He knew this was the best decision because despite Maddie learning quickly, it would still take her some time to develop her skills and for her body to develop properly.
It took some time for Maddie at the beginning because she was still a weak child, but after a few weeks, she was able to defeat guys twice her age. Maddie knew it will still take a few years before her muscle will start to develop and strengthen, so this made her more determined to grow up. By the time Maddie hit puberty, she started to feel very self-cautious because she noticed her breasts getting bigger. She confronted Master Li about it, so he brought her to a mall and asked a sales lady to assist Maddie. Master Li knew this day would come, he just didn't expect it to be so soon. He still saw her as a little girl. He told the sales lady that he was a single father and to help Maddie with fitting. The sales lady was very nice and even helped Maddie by answering her questions. The sales lady was very surprised by how innocent Maddie was to the development of the body. She also noticed that Maddie dressed like a boy so she advised Master Li to buy some feminine clothes as well.
When they came home that day Maddie was very excited to show her new clothes off to her father. So she changed into a simple dress the sales lady picked and showed her father. Master Li looked like he wanted to cry, because for the first time he saw Maddie dressed like a girl and she looked very innocent and beautiful as she twirled around in her dress. At that moment Master Li felt proud of his daughter, who grew up perfectly. She looked very happy at that moment, so Master Li decided to take a photo of her so he will never forget this day.
