After I had said yes, my whole body seemingly increased in strength and vitality as I felt better than ever before, meaning the system was real- I had a voice in my head!
Carefully I got up from the cubicle as I felt my slimy body oozing with a vile liquid like fluid reminiscent of jello but much stickier- as it's smell wafted into my nostrils causing me to do an almost double take in pure horridness.
But then that weird female voice once again rang within my mind-
[Operation has been successfully executed... Operation has been successfully...]
As the voice said this it soon turned my vision into a download screen- where a green bar was slowly engulfing a white one- as it repeatedly said.
[Attribute System- has been initiated- Gift accepted by Host- World has been altered- Success of Task Uncertain... Downloading Task Menu- Shop- Minimap... Attribute System- has been...]
After about ten minutes, the mechanical voice stopped as the green bar was full and on the side an annotation of 100% appeared.
Alerting me that whatever Parasyte was in me had finished loading itself within my soul.
'I've always wondered what a soulmate would be like- Hmm...'
Thought the boy quietly as he slowly unlocked the door to the cubicle and quickly washed the slime from his face and appendages before he took a look at himself in the mirror.
There he saw his dark brown eyes, his tanned skin and his thick jet black hair that stood upright from each corner.
With a quick comb it went back but then moved to its upright position again as if by default.
Once that had been done- the boy quickly headed out of the public toilet as he then felt a *Beep sound in his mind, once this happened suddenly his vision picked up an illusory screen seemingly his phone as his mind commanded it to refresh all his apps.
With that the screen then alerted him of his recent missed calls, messages and emails.
Looking through it he found that his friends had called him about four times- but because they never got hold of him they texted him instead.
'Hey Jacen, hurry up classes starting.'
'Jacen- Quick Brian's in he's gonna mark you absent- Damn it quick man...'
Etc.
Reviewing these messages- The now named boy hurried to class as he got back on the subway and headed to his building.

"CNM, Reporting it seems an ancient virus from glaciers in SB City has been uncovered by the Global Ice Caps Federation, this has led to them being infected by this disease and so they have spread it to each of their Cities- due to it being traceless and having no symptoms at the start however it is quick to act once a piece of skin is ripped and blood is drawn!"
"BCC, It's been two months since the discovery of the glaciers and since the Federation hid the existence of this and they have seemingly melted causing a gas of sorts to reach every single region in the world!"
"GFN, it seems those with a cut or torn skin were affected by the Virus while everyone else are fine, the Federation has isolated the infectious ones, though they seem to have superhuman strength and a few people have been bitten!"
"BCC, it seems the gas has stopped spreading and is destroyed completely so no more mindless brutes will form unless one is bitten by the Present Zombie like beings, make sure not to go out anywhere it's too dangerous!"
"SLN News, it seems two thirds of T City, has been affected by this deadly virus, I urge you all to keep a sustainable food source water and weapons with you it seems it really is the end of the.... GYAAAAAAAHHH, help me, SAVE MEEE- NOOOOO!!!"
Screamed the host of as he just announced that the biggest City within the Federations hands was now infected by two thirds- infected by Zombies!!
In a matter of mere minutes this bombshell was dropped on the net and cable- as it seems someone leaked the experiments and infections on the internet with so much information that every major news host began reporting of this.
And to make matters worse, the first city to be completely overrun by this Virus was T-City the one he lived in- and if knowledge served him right, his school was in the center of T-City.
These news broadcasts were forcibly played by the Federation on all electronic devices within the world- expressing just how much control they had over the world.
And once he came to school and headed to his seat this played.
And as a matter of fact everyone around him was freaked out especially by that last news source done by SLN News, as the host was literally killed in front of their eyes, causing some to feel uneasy and sick about this.

However after his awakening by the system he felt much more confident for some reason- and spoke out his honest thoughts on the matter.
"Calm down will you, crying, whinging and vomiting over such things won't help, and seeing everything that's happening on the news. it's most likely your families have been killed and you all will end up like that unless you fight, it's now a kill or be killed world and moaning about it won't do anything!"
It was weird- as if the mechanical voice changed his directive and so he did as it said- to complete his task. It didn't feel like he said it but as if someone used his body to say this- it was weird to say the least as he uncontrollably said this.

When I had said that they all shut up as they knew my words were the truth and that they were merely trying to convince themselves everything was okay, but it wasn't, nothing was okay, they knew that.

Suddenly a noise was heard in my head it seems the voice had given me a new mission to complete this was my first mission as the previous one was merely a tutorial and I didn't know what to do.
