Chapter 6 - Life 6: Searching For Food Part 2

It was already midnight as Jacen made his way through the desolate Federation occasionally seeing corpses and sometimes Zombies, however he simply wasn't in the mood to fight them. And so avoided them and sometimes just rammed through them with brute force from his mechanical beast.

But as it turned out not all was well as Jacen had found that the energy source powering the vehicle was near completion. Meaning he'd need some type of fuel to make it work again.

However he didn't know what to do and then AT alerted him of something to do. [*Ding- sensing Hosts predicament I can give a solution and that is to – find bits and pieces of electrical devices or a renewable power source.]

[Task 2 – Find a source of energy or pieces of machinery to solve your problems – Head to a warehouse a few miles from you and ransack it for items you need to solve your fuel problem.

Rewards: Functional Vehicle, Energy Source and some Experience Points.]

Hearing this Jacen was relieved as he knew he needed a power source and if he found one then his problems would be all but solved.

So with the last of his energy Jacen began his journey to the warehouse a few miles away as AT showed him sort of waypoint in case he became lost- and in this way Jacen managed to find his destination.

Though the terrain was relatively tough he managed to get there. Parking at a safe(?) location he leapt out the car as his boots felt the heavy mud seemingly trying to hold him in place however he was too stubborn and carried on his path towards the old warehouse which seemed to have been a victim of a major earthquake as could be seen by the broken holes and odd shapes the roof became.

But without any fear he strode past the long broken fence made of bricks and stainless steel as he jumped over a little hole that seemed to carry someone's dead corpse within. Unblinking he was in face of such a scene as he'd honestly become desensitised due to how many corpses he'd seen in his travels.

Soon he had arrived at the warehouses entrance gate that was closed but with a punch from his now increased strength and speed of 15 the steel gate warped with ease after a simple tap by Jacen and with another it completely broke off falling to the ground with an earth-shattering noise causing one to feel almost nauseous due to the way it fell.

And inside there seemed to be no light that covered the building allowing the outside sunshine pierce through the warehouses entrance and fill the building with both light and darkness with darkness being the shade of course and with the building now viewable.

Jacen could read which area contained what items on each of the racks and shelves that were littered around inside the huge building. Seeing such a thing was enough to fill Jacen with awe as never had he imagined such a huge amount of items and valuables were here. Grabbing a fairly large basket he began his collection leaving nothing unturned – 'I mean what if there was some valuable power up or skill laying around, gotta catch 'em all.'

Seemingly before they were shipped or exported. Going in further he asked AT to highlight his field of vision where ever there was something he needed, e.g. A power source or solar panels.

And since he told AT to do this for him his life became much easier as on occasion he grabbed some tinned foods and milk cartons, etc. And even some frozen meat and vegetables.

Finally after walking for twenty minutes without stopping he reached the aisle where electronics and solar panels were – picking things such as toothpaste and toothbrushes was what he did as he picked what he needed urgently and that was water and food – but also essential items used in life.

Grabbing the box that contained solar panels and chargeable batteries he picked them up and the dropped them in the basket that he picked at the start of the ransacks.

With all the items he'd need Jacen walked out with pride, he'd secured his food and water but also his daily hygiene set due to finding a huge warehouse run by some big e-commerce company that specialised in shipping.

With his basket in his hands Jacen headed to his car hurriedly as he didn't want any mistakes to be caused that could harm him in anyway.

With a few leaps here and there Jacen had managed to head to his car and then proceeded to put the items in the back near the kitchen stove – and every time he saw it he couldn't help but be in awe at how his car was bigger than the outside looked it made no sense at all yet it also did – it was a gift from the system after all maybe being the Monkey King's Herald isn't all so bad.

"GRRRR -RAAAWWRRR!!"

Echoed a roar as suddenly Jacen felt some trauma on the back of his head and before he could even do anything he was slammed right back into the warehouse breaking through its aisles and walls as he felt his body break several bones due to intensity in which he slammed by the unknown predator.

Hurriedly standing with his broken ribs that began piercing his soft internal organs – he exclaimed loudly in surprise – what was in front of him, it- it made no sense.

Grizzly, a damn Grizzly was there with some salmon in his mouth and his face was coloured in reddish-purple looking like berry jam. With a height seemingly to pierce the skies and with such width that it blocked out some sunlight I was shocked.

I knew that normally Grizzlies grew to be about 6-7 feet and were about 300-400 pounds however this one was different clearly different from it's eyes I could guess intuition and intelligence scaring me for I had never thought animals could contain such glints of conviction in their eyes.

Quickly I used {Perceive} to truly see what I was working with and boy was I surprised.
