Finally the Imp began to speak again as if ready to throw us all under the bus, "Having talked enough I wish you all luck with the first task set to you by the other Transcendent figures- Also look into your pockets- they will be needed and valuable- well then good luck to all you hundred players precisely- win and collect runes!!"
Instantaneously all the hundred people looked towards the growling sound as when they looked backwards- suddenly a white skull popped out of a portal – bore another ten, then another ten came out and in the end 200 Skeletal Undead monsters appeared as they growled lightly reminiscent of a zombie movie they marched forward with a cold gleam hidden in their red eyes.
Thus the panic began as countless screams echoed on this eventful day- of Death…
-_____:-
There was more than double the humans combined itself and this was the first task in a line of many- surely many were to die and many were to live while others became warriors, it was reflected in each humans eyes, their resolve, determination, fear and unwillingness…
And as they stood hesitant gradually a number of them headed far back from all of this- but then felt an odd sensation and then more as gradually they felt weak and then they fell until blood and sweat rolled off of them in waves.
It was obvious retreating was a no go- it was only advance or be obliterated- in agony- the pain emitted from those who retreated immediately entered everyone's ears as they silently clenched their fists together.
Their agony was like a sword piercing their ears so much so that a few wet themselves while others began to spew profanities at the endless air in their reach. Obviously it wasn't looking very well for them – but then finally a tanned young man with jet black hair and dark brown eyes finally ended this silence.
Out of the originally 102 people- two had incurred the imps wrath- leaving only a hundred, then another 23 had died due to their desperate search for escape- meaning currently there were only 77 people left including Jacen and that Regressor.
Though it seemed that guy knew what would happen as if he predicted the 23 people to die just like that and he was thinking that all was going according to cannon. Until a certain tanned young man rushed ahead.
'Wait- who is that person, surely this wasn't meant to happen as originally in the main timeline after some more desperation everyone then attacked- but this is different at this point we were all supposed to run out and try to kill these monsters- and then the most obvious change- the monsters.
In cannon we all fought Goblins with small twisted daggers given to us by that imp yet it is now skeletons with clubs- it seems my return has brought about unexpected variables already- but it doesn't matter now I'll formulate a plan later but now I need to kill these beasts.'
With that said Su-ho began his stance as a menacing glint was present in his eyes like an apex predator looking at prey.
Like a headless chicken he rushed into the very crowd of Skeletons as he raised his club like a sword as if to signal his very large anger at the beasts and his declaration to kill.
And there Jacen's body which was already fast moved at it's peak as in mid battle it processed the information all around him- and while on his run he activated {Perceive} immediately and so he began to look for Skeletons that he could dispatch of easily.
Meanwhile Su-ho behind him merely smirked, 'why the need to run when they're so frantically trying to kill us all- its better to kill them when they're here.'
Jacen finally reached a few in the midst of running as he charged at them fiercely – while the skeletons in front were seemingly surprised(?)
Using the club like a sword he swung it up before leaping into the air and then smashing it onto a skeletons cranium smashing it into pieces instantly due to the rise in power and usage of his strength in his two arms that held the club.
After fighting numerous Zombies and beasts in the tutorial he knew never to judge a book by it's cover and to never underestimate the human body- it was an unrefined tool, a hidden gen but once refined and polished it's true worth would sprout out- he knew this deeply.
And then like a baseball bat he slammed the club onto a running Skeleton next to him as if striking a home run due to how far the skeletons cranium flew. Slashing his way through with an object of brute force he decimated the Skeletons near him- as he saw a small translucent object with weird writing finally drop down to the ground.
Immediately Perceive was activated as he saw what it was- [Rune] That was all that was mentioned as he grabbed it- then it dissipated into his hand as he saw his stats go up - 'it seems runes don't just give you abilities, they also give you stat boost- useful.'
[POW]: 15
[AGI]: 10
[MND]: 9 → 9.3
[Spirit]: 2,400 (Double to health but due to the Dragon Force it is doubled again.)
Once the Mind attribute goes above 5 spirit begins to form in small doses, due to improving on the Mind attribute your usage of spirit has been refined.]
While battling these heaps of bones Jacen found not every creature or whatever gave out bones- the Imp was right Luck was an important attribute after all.
Using his new Mind attribute Jacen found that his perspective had increased a whole lot and his calculations and estimations rose- as if his mind was ever evolving capable of reaching greater heights- though he needed to have a body that was compatible with it.
Slowly Jacen started his rampage- but he wasn't invincible, no though he was strong with the number of enemies his injuries increased and his weapon broke with no choice he had to snatch his enemies weapons for himself- but even they weren't sturdy as they broke and so he constantly changed weapons as behind himself was a mountain of shattered metal and broken wood.
And in his injury sustaining rabid dog rampage his attributes slowly increased I mean surely one or two skeletons would drop runes that enhanced him and that was his mindset. Even though he'd killed ten or twenty of them he knew killing all 200 hundred was a pipe dream his stamina wasn't enough to fight that long with his injuries- turning to his left he saw that regressor fellow as he elegantly evaded the boned idiots and struck precisely as if having practised that move hundreds of times on end.
-_____:-
Behind him were shocked, scared, fearful, greedy and envious faces- they saw him take them runes for himself and fight the enemies- they were surprised- they didn't want to die hell they didn't want to fight yet seeing someone like them become stronger annoyed them- why couldn't he stay in his lane- such feeble narrow minded people were the beings called humans even on the outbreak of death their selfishness remained embedded deep within.
Seeing two of their own kind killing and becoming stronger, faster and more powerful frightened and annoyed them to no end- so a few started to battle while others looked lost and prayed for safety.
The one who leapt forward saw these two teens probably high school students making more of an impact than adults and observed- from afar only Su-ho's actions looked trained and elegant while Jacen looked messy and relied on brute force- meaning if a kid could do that why couldn't an adult.
Seeing these adults follow in Jacen and Su-ho's steps even more people entered the fray as their survival instincts awakened instantaneously.
"Whatever- if they can fight, why can't I!"
Slowly murmurs resounded loudly as gradually- more and more shouts rose to the skies.
"Fuck it- let's go- Fight!!"
And finally a glasses wearing kid with an average physique in the back who seemed to have gotten excited and had his adrenaline pumped up- roared into the unknown as he screamed, "FOR EARTH- FOR EARRRTTHH!!!"
Hearing this the ones next to him smiled as they too roared for their planet and then soon the 75 humans still not fighting roared the earths name in an earth-shattering roar pumping up everyone with their survival instincts and warriors began to rise.
Hearing such a loud declaration Jacen turned around and soon a huge smile formed on his battered and bruised face as – he saw something amazing- here he thought he'd die in this futile battle with all these burdens weighing down a ton on his back- yet they seeing Jacen with pride, envy and worry jumped into the fray.
But on the left side Su-ho seeing this was even more confused- it seems the beginning of Cannon was changed completely- originally only 30 or less would survive this battle as being cream of the crop.
But the figure on the other side with tanned skin changed this all- he was an anomaly and with him here his knowledge was likely futile- but that wasn't right, he had to be dealt with soon or else the timeline will change even more drastically- and then hearing the beings scream for earth- it reminded him of a game he once played- what was it - "For Demacia?"
Spoke out, Su-Ho as he wondered just who that tanned kid was- he wasn't in the original time and he'd never seen him before yet his way of fighting and seemingly knowledge on which type of skeleton was weak made Su-Ho think.
'What if he's like me...'
