Falling
That was the first sensation that registered to her.
Then suspension.
Like a boat in the sea.
At first she didn't know what was happening and thought she was dreaming again.
The same dream she's been having since she can remember. All of the events of the past 12 hours came back to her like a tsunami; like a film roll happening too fast flashed through her mind.
The most vivid one was of her walking through a forest; so enchanting like in a fantasy. She didn't understand how long she was walking in there. Then she broke into a clearing with a wide lake in the middle where all lights were bouncing off of it in a myriad of colors, like an Aurora borealis during a winter night, but this one is happening on the surface of a lake.
She was so captured by it that she just stood there, spellbound. After staring at the beautiful scene, something caught her eye. At one end of the lake there was a well.
Back then, it didn't occur to her how peculiar the sight was. She just got this strong urge to go near and look inside. So she did. She was just looking in when the strangest thing happened. The water started shimmering and gradually showed an image. The surface became like a window looking out to another view of a forest more enchanting than the one she was now in.
She kept on looking, till suddenly, someone or something pushed her. When she looked back, the last thing she saw was a silhouette of a man or woman, she couldn't be certain. Then the feeling of falling and nothing.
She expected a splash of where her body hit the water below but nothing. Now, it's just the feeling of being suspended in water but not drowning nor getting wet.
This is really weird, she thought. Then, all of sudden, she was dragged below. She resisted at first but the force taking her was far stronger. She couldn't do anything but await a fate she doesn't know of. Aside from the sensation of being pulled, there was nothing; no sound nor view. And then there was light.
