"Mum mum mum," the two-year-old mumbled as he grabbed a huge piece of bread and tried to put everything in his mouth.
"Big Sis, Ash is going to choke!" Jane warned as she pointed at her nephew and Yesha immediately ran from the stove towards her son, taking the bread from him.
"Sweetie, don't eat everything at once," she said as she broke the bread into small pieces and placed them on Ashton's plate. The boy then happily started eating them one by one.
"Mummy, want too," another boy said and Jane picked him up and placed him on a high chair.
The little boy tried to reach out for his cousin's food but his mother swatted his hands away as she placed a small plate of the same bread in front of him.
"Eat slowly James," Jane warned and sighed as her son ate.
"These little munchkins are growing too fast," Jane whined and Yesha laughed as she sat in front of her sister.
"Well, at least they're more behaved compared to other kids," she said as she glanced at the two boys with a fond smile.
"Hey Big Sis," Jane called and Yesha turned to her with a questioning look. "Today's your third wedding anniversary, right?" she asked and Yesha's smile widened as she nodded. "Then where's lover boy? You're supposed to be off somewhere celebrating."
"He's a little busy with the company right now with the recession and everything," Yesha answered. "But we'll go out for dinner later. Can you keep Ash tonight?"
"Ha, I'll keep him forever. James behaves a lot when Ash is with us," Jane answered dramatically and Yesah laughed
"Thanks," the older sister said and Jane looked at her thoughtfully.
"Big Sis?"
"What?" Yesah asked, noting the serious look on her sibling's face.
"It's been three years. How do you feel about your husband now?"
"What do you mean?" Yesha couldn't understand her sister's question and so the other explained.
"I mean, Kingsley literally forced himself on you, taking you on the rebound. You married him because of Ash, right? But it's a long time ago now, so I'm wondering how you feel about your husband."
"Are you insane?" Yesha looked at Jane as if she'd gone mad. "Where did you get that idea?" she asked back and Jane shrugged.
"Well, Kingsley and Matt talked a lot. Of course, my husband doesn't keep secrets from me."
"Adam told him that?" Yesha asked, feeling weak when Jane nodded.
How could her husband be so smart and yet be so stupid at the same time?
"Well?" Jane prompted and Yesha sighed.
"It's true that when we got together, I didn't know how I felt about him. I just came from a bad relationship after all. But when I found out I was pregnant with Ash, all of that changed. I've become… more aware of him."
And it was true.
"It's like I looked at him with new eyes and I found that I like what I'm seeing. My husband's handsome, smart and pretty stubborn about things which I find cute. I'm thinking now that the reason why Ashton looks a lot like him was because when I was carrying him, I had nothing else in mind except for Adam. I found out I'm in love with him when he left. That one week without him was torture to me. I never want that to happen again."
"Okay, you heard that Kingsley? Get your ass back home and treat your wife to a lovely anniversary celebration," Jane suddenly said which startled Yesha.
"What are you doing?" she asked and her eyes widened upon seeing the mobile phone in her sister's hand. "OH! You rat! When did you do that?"
"Well, you look like you were about to confess something big so I sent Matt a message and called him," she said sheepishly.
Since Yesha got sick three years ago, Matt returned to the corporate world to help Adam out in his company so that her husband could have more family time. Matt became the Vice President, so he and Adam were practically together at work.
"JANE PARK! YOU – " Yesha glared at her sister as her face went red.
She rested her head on the table as she wailed. "How am I supposed to look at Adam now?"

Matt was grinning from ear to ear.
"Stop smiling stupidly," I told him which made my best friend laugh more.
"I will if you wipe that stupid smile off your face first," he countered which made me laugh.
God, but I was so happy.
A few minutes ago, Matt had rushed into my office with an excited face carrying his mobile phone. I asked what's going on and he pushed the speaker on and my wife's voice filled the room.
Yesha loved me!
"So, what are you planning to do now?" Matt asked and my smile widened as I glanced at the clock.
It was almost five in the afternoon. "Well, since you're being nice to me today, I'll leave you the rest of the work and I'll go home to my sweet wife," I said which earned me a good-natured whining from Matt.
I picked up my jacket and was ready to go when I turned back to my friend. "Matt, can you guys keep Ash until tomorrow?" I asked and his grin widened.
"I want a niece in return," he answered with a grin and I grinned back.
"I'm going!"

When I returned home, Yesha was all shy towards me but all that changed when I pulled her into my arms and kissed her senseless which of course made us end up naked in bed.
"We're late now for our reservation," I heard her say as we got dressed.
"It's okay, baby, I got our table taken care of," I told her as she helped me fix my tie.
She didn't move away after that and continued to look at me, however, and it got me curious.
"What?" I asked and she smiled as she tiptoed to whisper in my ear.
"I'm three months pregnant…"
"What?" I asked as my face split into a huge smile automatically.
I stared at her as she grinned at me mischievously and I couldn't help myself. I suddenly grabbed her and lifted her in my arms and spun her around amidst her squeals. For the life of me, I was really, really happy.
