Chapter 14 - The Crystal Palace (2)

Mirror floors with Crystal clear glass walls like ice. Ceiling that magnificently created to be a life like sky.  Chandeliers that seemingly like fallen rain drops, adding to the wonderful aesthetics of the whole wide hall.

Zyair explored the entire hall, and noticed that not only the ceiling, the wall and the chandeliers were works of art, even the measly pillar foundations of the castle were carefully carved as well.

Of course, Zyair didn't bother to look at those carvings, instead he just clicked those pillars one by one, and a panel would appear as he clicked the pillar sending him it's information.

There are a total of 24 pillars, each of which  is huge and wide. 12 each for both sides, with pairs of the same image curved. So, there's 12 images curving in total. According to the panel info, the image curved on the pillars were the twelve astrological signs.

Just reading the information, Zyair is already feeling kind of stuffy inside. "...this ain't one of those mystery puzzle thingy, right? The one like those in Digsaw or those horror houses in amusement parks where you have to find clues before proceeding to the next stage..."

But no one answered him. Thinking how he needed to find clues within this wide hall, Zyair was already feeling impatient. Abandoning his computer, Zyair went to the kitchen to calm down his boiling temper. He took a box of cold orange juice, stabbed the straw in, then went to drink it in one go. Zyair cursed behind his teeth, asking why he needed to do all this? Why does he need to suffer this injustice of playing a game of Fairy princesses, when Qantas is outside enjoying his time?

Except for going to school, Qantas forbade Zyair to play outside. Zyair, who wanted to roll and play with mud, and to be bathed sweaty under the glory of the sun, became a total homebody with pale sickly skin, and thin arms and legs.

While complaining and cursing at the kitchen, meanwhile, inside the game...

RiverSun, Zyair's avatar, stood unmoving at the center of the hall. Under the beautiful diamond shaped droplets chandelier, RiverSun looks like an evil villain who went to disrupt a happy occasion inside the crystal palace.

At the other side of another door, the one parallel to the door where Zyair just went in, a room resides, where a beautiful woman with blond hair and blue eyes stood elegantly. She's wearing a gorgeous silver blue ball gown and a silver crystal tiara on her head. She then sat down on the mirror floor, and was immediately surrounded by a group of mice.

Her ball gown was scattered in a beautiful circle, looking at birds eye view, she seems like a flower fairy, if not for the a bunch of mice surrounding her in the circle.

The woman bowed down, and reached over her hand towards the mice. One of the mice came over to her, riding her palm. The woman picked it up and brought it closer to her face, and brought it to her ear.

Squeaking sounds came out from the mouse, and the woman listened carefully. After the mouse stopped squeaking, the woman nodded. She smile at the mouse and said "thank you", then kissed the top of its head. As if shy, the mouse went to hide under it's small hands, like a little shy maiden in love.

Seeing this, the woman can't help but chuckle amusedly. She gently lowered her hand and the mouse jumped down from her palm. She looked at the mice on the ground and went to thank them once again.

After receiving her thanks, the mice ground squeak and squeal at her, then dispersed and disappeared.

Alone, the woman stood up quite elegantly, and walked, like walking in a run way towards the beautifully crafted bench chair, surrounded by blue roses. She sat on it, then with a "puff!", a tea cup and a saucer appeared in front of her. The woman raised both her hands, and the saucer gently fell on her left palm, while she used her other hand to hook her fingers on the tea cup and brought it up to her lips. She savored the aroma of the tea, before she took a sip. She closed her eyes, tasting it with relish.

While drinking tea, footsteps sounded, and it seemed to be coming closer and closer, until a tall shadow overcast the woman drinking her tea.

The woman put down the tea on the saucer, before opening her eyes. She then let it go and pushed it to the side to float, and finally looked up from where she sat.

After looking once, immediately, the woman bowed down her head again, humbly. Her mice already alerted her about this newcomer's arrival, so she was not very surprised by his appearance. Nevertheless, she still can help but feel fearful. After all, their ranks and levels are considerably like reaching out towards the sky, wanting to catch stars.

The woman even tried to stand up, and kneel towards the owner of the shadow that still shrouded her figure, but was stopped by the man, himself.

"Just stay at your place, Zezolla. This isn't my domain, and this is your turf. The fact that you allowed my presence here, is already my honor." If this man was not Qantas Fliege, then who is he? Wearing his signature stone face, Qantas looked down at Zezolla as he spoke. His words carry courteous and respect, but his tone is indifferent and flat, like he didn't mean it at all.

The Qantas right now, didn't look like the Qantas who doted on Zyair. He looked more like a proud god, looking down on his subjects like they are nothing but a mere ant.

He slightly bowed his head but not bending his back. Zezolla was overwhelmed, cold sweat wetted her back, even her delicate make up was almost ruined. She opened her mouth, but she couldn't let out any sounds at all. She could only pursed her lips into a thin line and endure the pressure this great god was giving.

Violet eyes coldly glance down at a pair of dewy blue eyes. Zezolla looks pitiful, she has a look that could enshrine man's protective instinct, but for Qantas, all he could see is a discussing mutt, trying to curry favor with nothing but a pair of muddy paws.

He clicked his tongue and looked towards the door. Qantas squinted his eyes, and as if he saw what was beyond that door, the frost in his eyes tawed. It softened and lightened up, then he opened his mouth to speak.

"I'm sure you're already aware about the other's presence outside of this door. This is your castle. You'll know if someone intrudes on it."

Zezolla felt cold. She could feel something gripping her neck and she couldn't breathe. 'How hateful! Is he planning on killing me right now?!! How hateful! Just because you're strong you can do anything and kill anyone at any time!! Such hateful existence! He could stand there with straight back, but I could only succumb to kneeling! I wanted that too! That power! That perfection!' Zezolla choked and coughed. She struggled and slid down her chair and kneel at the glass floor. She tried to grasp something near her neck but she could only catch air. She was desperate, tears flowed down from her fear filled eyes, she wanted to beg, but the man didn't even look at her.
