Yi Lei Fang did not care about Guan Yu's situation, better yet, she didn't even pay attention to him. Having enough watching Yi Mei fuming out jealousy, she starts to get bored and moved her sight to her own bowl
The whole time the family was eating, only Chief Yi Yang and Guan Yu were the ones who did the talking. Guan Yu also made sure he feeds Yi Lei Fang.
Once everybody was full. Guan Yu, Chief Yi Yang, and Madame Yu left to the study room to have a private talk about the trades and the wedding.
On the other side of the courtyard, Yi Lei Fang was searching for Li Wei while the Yi brothers went to handle their own business. She had not seen him since they arrived yesterday. He was supposed to be in her courtyard but yet there were no signs of him.
After searching for two hours from her courtyard and throughout the Yifu, Yi Lei Fang finally gave up. She let out a sigh and said, "Oh well, he will eventually come back. I just hope he didn't get into any trouble."
Unbeknown to Yi Lei Fang, poor Li Wei was captured by An Zing during the time when everybody was at the receiving hall. The reason why the little rabbit was captured is because Guan Yu ordered An Zing to babysit the rabbit and to make sure the rabbit would not disturb Yi Lei Fang. Of course An Zing did not believe his boss's excuses. The only reason Guan Yu wants the little rabbit away was because it was a male and Guan Yu did not like the fact that Yi Lei Fang was close to the creature.
Back at the study room, Chief Yi Yang and Guan Yu made a business deal. The transactions went smoothly and benefitted both parties. The wedding preparations and the date were also discussed.
During the discussion, Madame Yu and Chief Yi Yang reluctantly agreed to hold the wedding in three days. The reason being, the Emperor had sent a message to Guan Yu this morning, stating that a celebration is being held in ten days time to honor the General's victory against the Chang kingdom; therefore, Guan Yu has to attend.
Guan Yu even suggested to have the wedding ceremony in the Yifu instead of doing it traditionally, where the bride is sent to the groom's manor and then to complete the ceremony from there.
When everything was done and decided, Chief Yi Yang called out to Jia Hua.
He rushed over to the side of Chief Yi Yang, waiting for his order.
"Housekeeper Jia, send these invitations to the two Chief of the Yong clan and the Rogue clan."
Housekeeper Jia nodded his head and bowed. "This housekeeper will do as Chief Yi says."
"En."
Guan Yu who was silent a minute ago, spoke up.
"Since everything has been settled, this benwang will leave and prepare the dowry for my future Wangfei. Don't worry about the gown, this benwang will handle everything. All Fang'er needs to do is relax and be pretty." He bowed and continue, "Nice doing business with you, father-in-law and mother-in-law."
Chief Yi Yang kept nodding his head in approval. Madame Yu and him are liking this future son-in-law more and more.
When Guan Yu left the study room, he didn't head straight to the exit of the Yifu, rather, he turned and flashes to the direction of Yi Lei Fang's courtyard.
In her bed chamber, Yi Lei Fang was relaxing in a wooden hot tub. Her eyes were closed as she relaxed her body's muscles.
In a silent quiet room, her thoughts went back to the images of when she got ran over by a truck. Image after image appeared. The pool of blood, the siren, the cold wet street, the face of Qin Bai's disdainful face, and Xing Jian's disgusted look.
Taking a deep breathe, Yi Lei Fang opened her eyes and looked up at the ceiling. She couldn't stop thinking about the accident.
Feeling vulnerable, she sits up right in a fetal position. Her shaking hands balled into fists around her knees. The nails dug her her tender and jade-like skin as blood slowly seeped out.
She could not stop the emotional betrayal from Qin Bai and Xing Jian. She was too stupid to realized their affair and schemes. Because of her, she harmed her baby. Because of her, her baby would have died.
Yi Lei Fang's mind was too fogged up that she did realize the water has turn light red and her face turned pale from the blood loss.
Several minutes later, she started to get light-headed, she reached up to hold her forehead, but when she saw blood on her palm, she frantically got up.
Due to the sudden action along with the vertigo, Yi Lei Fang's body staggered. She instinctively tried to hold onto something but there were no wall or stand to help support her.
"Fuck shit!" Yi Lei Fang outwardly cursed out when she saw her body flipping outside of the tub.
Yi Lei Fang shut her eyes tight, waiting for the pain as her face was about to kiss the floor. But in the next second, she felt strong callused hand wrapped around her bare waist.
She opened her eyes and was shocked to see the floor was two inches away from her. If there were even a seconds delay, her face would have turned flat!
Yi Lei Fang patted her exposed chest, sighing a relief.
"Oh, thank god."
However it was too early for her to relax as she heard a sexy and masculine voice next to her ear.
"My feisty little kitten, this god should thank you instead."
Yi Lei Fang made an annoyed face. Oh great it's him again. She rolled her eyes. Ignoring his heated gaze, Yi Lei Fang used this chance to stabilize her posture.
Since she was still in an awkward position, Yi Lei Fang tries to pull herself up from Guan Yu's hold. Sadly, no matter how much she moved, Guan Yu would not budge. So instead, she grabbed his arm that is wrapped around her and used him to support herself so she can get her feet out of the tub.
When she finally got on her feet, she was facing Guan Yu's handsome face. There, she noticed he was staring at her with gentle eyes, the same gentle eyes as the little Ju-Long. But then it quickly vanished without any trace, like it was just her imagination.
She looked at his red eyes again to make sure her mind was not playing tricks on her, but his next words caused her to shake the nostalgia feeling away.
"Stared enough?"
Yi Lei Fang avoid his penetrating red eyes as she clears her throat. She awkwardly patted his shoulder while making some space between them and says, "Ahem, Ah! I thought you were with my parent?"
As she was asking Guan Yu, he on the other hand was observing her stiffly patting his shoulder. But once when Yi Lei Fang lift her hand, Guan Yu saw blood on his robe. He swiftly grab her bloody palm causing Yi Lei Fang to flinched from his sudden move.
In a menacing tone, he asked, "What happened?"
Yi Lei Fang tried to pull her hand back, but Guan Yu's clutch was like an immovable force.
"It's nothing. I did it to myself without me realizing it. I was too distracted on something." She tries to pull again. "Now let go of my hand. I can take care of the wound."
Guan Yu did not listen to Yi Lei Fang as he moved his sight to the tub. His eyebrows scrunched up as he saw the water has turn light red from the blood. Taking another good look at Yi Lei Fang's face, he notices the paleness of her skin tone. Without any warning, he scooped up Yi Lei Fang into his arms, princess carrying her towards the bed.
