Present:
It was perhaps the last morning Yu Han would be able to see Kuurou's face clearly. His black hair were perfect as always and his hazel eyes glimmered with excitement. On the other hand, Yu Han's mind was muddled with questions. Questions that were withering his heart, little by little.
"Hey Kuurou san, do you remember someone named Bo Jian?" Yu Han suddenly shot a question at him.
"Umm... I do remember meeting someone named Bo Jian in China... But he was one of my producers. Why are you asking about him though?" Kuurou answered in a monotonous tone as he put on a t-shirt.
"It's nothing." Yu Han turned his face away as a tear drop dripped down his left eye. That was the first time in the day he expressed his emotions.
'Is something wrong with him?' Yu Han wondered.
'Kuurou, do you really not remember me? It's been almost a month since we came here, you didn't even... ask about me." He decided to be a little blunt this time. Kuurou noticed the unusual voice crack and tears at bay.
"Yu Han... I am extremely sorry, I don't remember anyone like that."
At that moment, there was a sharp knock at the door.
Kuurou walked towards the door with an inconsistent pace and opened the door. It was Pin.
"I think it's time for you both to come to the SEC." He said, pointing towards the dreaded room.
"Yu Han!" He yelled as he turned back, only to see him in a pathetic condition. "It's time to go." His excitement died down.
Yu Han walked towards him with a blank face but his eyes showed a sadness, the kind which was forced to erupt a short while ago. 'Are you fine?' Pin questioned out of concern. Kuurou was confused.
"What would you do if someone promised to be with you and accept you... for who you are... suddenly vanishes from your life... and returns back, only to forget about everything?" His voice was raspy.
"In that case, I would just pity that person." Pin shut the door with minimal noise and decided to wait outside.
"Can we go to the SEC now?" Kuurou questioned in a low pitched voice, manifestating his confused concern.
"Yes."
Kuurou opened the door and looked at Pin, who stood near the entrance patiently. He placed a comforting hand on Yu Han's shoulder, but he jerked his hand off, rushing out of the room and heading towards the SEC. 'I hope he's fine.' Pin muttered to himself as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"He'll be fine." Kuurou replied.
"Oh! I didn't know I was audible."
"You aren't saying anything wrong though." Kuurou assured him.
Within few minutes, the stood in front of SEC, the dreaded room. It's gates were wide open but didn't seem inviting. It had it's own creepy vibes that were very peculiar. Anyone who stood on those doorsteps would feel his heart sink. A hunch that often proved right. Kuurou and Pin both walked towards the crowd, where Spence, Bond, Yu Han and others were waiting for them. As usual, Haruko was dressed up in his fancy rose gold suit and spoke words that were not common for teenagers.
"Welcome to the SEC, my dearests!" He screamed in excitement, waking up all students whose brains had fallen asleep.
"Today, we shall see these unlucky students perform a special task that can help them move onto the advanced training." He pointed at them with his walking stick.
"Now what does he want?" Spence questioned.
"Dear students, please proceed to the next room and get dressed up." He gestured towards a small room. Yu Han rushed inside and scrambled through the line of body suits, and randomly picked one up. Kuurou followed him and he carefully chose a mauve colored suit." It matches your dark circles." He made a sarcastic comment. Yu Han noticed he had chosen a black suit and made a comeback at him. "My suit color matches the color of your heart." He felt a little proud on the outside but inside, he was killing himself by doing so.
"Students, please head to the exit on your left side." They heard the announcement and headed towards the exit, which led them to a dark chamber.
Upon close inspection, the room had metal railings that seemed to end at a point, after which there was no floor, only abysmal darkness.
'This smell is familiar.' Kuurou thought to himself.
"Don't you think this scent is familiar?" Yu Han muttered as he sniffed the air.
"That's exactly what I was thinking!"
"I see." Yu Han gave a sharp, instinctive reply. "It almost smells flowery."
At that moment, the lights flashed on and they noticed something that scared the wits out of them.
"I don't think we will survive." Kuurou whispered with certainty.
