The students had headed back to their rooms. The sun's dull orange rays filtered through their windows and the purple colored sky seemed to bid goodbye to the day. As for the students, they would never be able to erase the imprint of the unusual day they witnessed. Things seemed to go down.
Spence and Bond sat upon their corresponding beds while Pin decided to sit on a chair by the desk. Spence seemed to be worried and his movements were random. His pitch black irises moved about from side to side and his face had gone pale.
"What's wrong with you Spence?" Pin questioned out of concern.
"Umm... Nothing I guess. I am just a bit tired."
"You seem like you've seen a ghost or something."
"Nope... I am fine." He hesitantly replied as he grabbed a glass of water from the side table. "I think I need some good rest."
Pin understood Spence wanted some lone time. He noticed the change of expressions. "Oh... Okay Bond, can you sleep in my room tonight?" He questioned.
Without any response, Bond got up and walked out of the room. Pin followed. Spence was left all alone in that room, which seemed to be closing in on him. His limbs froze, forehead dripped with sweat and his whole body was shivering. At that moment, his phone buzzed. With a hesitant hand, he dug out his phone from his pocket. The bright screen almost blinded him.
">[ ># @ &. ~. @.[.+. [.|.@.}, " was what the anonymous sender had sent.
Spence threw the phone on the ground. There was no way someone could send him a message in that school. All networks were jammed and no communication was allowed.
'Is Sam back?'
'He died right?'
His thoughts were becoming delusional. Fearing that he may lose his leftover sanity, he rushed out of the room and barged straight into the room next door, in which Bond and Pin were sitting. He briskly walked over to Pin and grabbed his shirt by the shoulder. His breathing rate increased. It was becoming louder by the minute. Pin stared into the pitch black eyes and ran a hand through the messy black hair.
"What happened to you?" He questioned to Spence, as he placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"It's Sam. He's back!" He yelled as he grabbed his hair.
"Sam's dead, he won't be back." Pin tried his best to comfort Spence, but failed. Spence had seemingly lost his sanity.
Pin was getting annoyed by those actions but decided to keep his composure. He grabbed Spence's cold hand and dragged him to the bed. Bond followed with a glass of water and splashed it on his face. 'Yeah now tell us what happened.' Pin commanded.
"I got a message from someone."
"A message?" Bond was confused.
"Yeah, it was a text message from someone, which is not possible." Spence got up and headed to the door. "Lemme get it for you." He rushed to his room.
"What is he doing?" Pin glared at Bond. Bond however, only shrugged.
Spence ran back to the room. He seemed more worked out than before. "It's gone!" He yelled.
"What is gone?" Pin questioned.
"My phone! The one that had the message is gone!" He sat down near the door and buried his head between his folded knees.
"What's wrong with you dude?" Bond walked over.
Spence raised his head. "I don't know. But my gut tells me that the message was significant."
"Do you remember the contents?" Pin was curious.
"No, it was just random symbols. I don't know what it meant."
"What if someone is trying to mess with us?" Pin placed a finger under his chin. "I guess you should sleep here tonight. Let me go and lock the door of your room." Pin gestured him to move to his bed. He walked out of the room.
"Where will Pin sleep though?" Spence asked.
"Pin and I have a habit of sleeping next to each other. It's fine." Bond assured him.
"Wait a minute, I get it now. You both are dating and he got jealous of me?" Spence rubbed his neck as he realized. "Oh come on, you should have told me before."
"Where do you even get such thoughts from?" Bond rolled his eyes. "Both of us are straight men."
Spence got up and moved towards Bond. "Do you think I'll believe you?" He smirked.
"Bond has a boyfrie-!" He tried to yell out loud but his mouth got cupped by Bond's hand. He stared right into his blue eyes, which seemed to be unreal. Bond slowly let go of his hand as he gradually realized.
"Your eyes are just like you, extremely fake." Spence retorted.
"My real eyes hold more weight than you can bear to see. These fake lenses seem to have less burden to carry." Bond's expression changed as he stared into those pitch black eyes.
"You both need to get a room!" Pin exclaimed.
Both of them snapped back to reality.
"Okay so it's decided, Bond and Spence will sleep together, while I'll sleep on the floor."
'What the heck?' Bond thought to himself.
