Chapter 42 - 43. Wandering Ways Part 3

"It's pretty much understandable that you knew." Spence blankly stated and went back to sleep, covering his eyes against the bright morning light. Bond was already fast asleep. The night had been heavy on them.

Pin walked up to the windows and drew the curtains, fixing them in place. He pulled back his hair into a small pony tail and headed to the washroom to freshen himself. Spence hovered over to the gentle giant and glanced at his face, which now seemed to gain color. The wrinkles had gone down and the loosely closed eyelids manifested his peaceful state. Unbeknownst to him, Spence lifted his hand and caressed the blond tuft of hair. It was rough at the roots and brown hair was growing underneath it.

"What are you doing, Pin?"

Bond muttered as he raised his hand to clasp the soft touch. The arm fit perfectly and showed no resistance. He gradually opened his eyes and realized it was Spence, who was playing with his hair. He had a playful smile on his face. For some reason, Bond couldn't help but feel the warmth grabbing him from all sides. The smile was genuine enough to make his heart flutter.

'What was that?' He wondered.

He moved his clasp closer to the lean wrist. Spence's face had an unusual change of expressions and he snatched his hand away, snapping them back to reality.

"Leave me alone!" He yelled.

Pin rushed to the sudden noise and found both at them sitting up right and staring at each other in horror. The pitch black eyes seemed to be locked against the ash gray ones. Both were surprised at each other.

"Where are your lenses?" Pin was blunt. His tone of voice however, was raspy.

"Oh! I forgot to put them." Bond rushed his hand and picked up the lenses from the liquid. He hurriedly put them on and walked towards Pin, who was speechless. He couldn't understand the situation. Spence stared at them, confused.

"Go freshen up yourself Bond," he said as he assisted him to the bathroom and closed the door with a soft thud.

"I am sorry Spence, Bond is just a little weirder than normal people. You see-"

His words were interrupted by the bathroom door unlocking and Bond coming out.

"Hey Bond, let's all hangout together once we get out of here." Spence tried to handle the delicate situation.

"Oh yes, sure! We would love to!" Pin exclaimed.

"I'm fine with whatever Pin likes."

"Anyways, I wanted to say something to you both." Pin's voice had a changed tone.

"What is it?" They both replied in unison.

"I think I will go get some clues regarding Sam." He said as he rubbed his neck.

"Are you sure you will be fine?" Pin glared at him intently.

"I hope so, yes."

Spence put on his t-shirt, which now reeked of sweat and walked towards the door. At that time, Pin interrupted, "I saw someone in your room."

"I'll see about that, thanks." He walked out of the room. That was the last time they saw him in the day. Pin and Bond were about to head to the breakfast room when they heard a loud noise, almost like a person falling from a high place. They opened the door and rushed out to the nearest window, only to see people gathered near the first block courtyard.

"Bond, I think it is serious." He panted. "Let's head to the ground floor."

They both descended downstairs and rushed to the place which was crowded. Pin butted his way into the crowd and noticed something that sent a chill down the spine. It was two skinless bodies, similar to the one they found in the swimming pool bathroom.

"What the frick is going on here?!" He screamed at the top of his lungs, quieting the chaotic crowd. "This can't be it!" He yelled louder.

"We are all going to die!" Someone from the crowd belted. All hell broke loose.

"Let me check this." Bond, being as calm as ever, made his way to the crowd and sat down to take a look. All the people stepped back. Some ran towards the corner and threw up, as the smell was nauseating.

"The blood is not dry and the bodies are fresher this time." Bond reported. "I think they must've died yesterday or today early morning."

All the students ran back to the room and only two people remained. Bond and Pin. Bond was unusually calm about the situation. Pin was freaking out on the inside but pretended to be fine on the outside, as he was the only person who could help in the situation. The smell of blood was metallic and the body fluids made it worse. At a point, he could feel the liquid of his throat rush upwards and gagged, but still managed to be with his friend, who may need him at any point."

"I'll help you Bond, don't worry." He muttered.
