Synopsis
Separated from her Master, Vahn Mason, Fenrir goes on a journey through the cosmos to reunite with the man who changed her destiny. Young Masters, Evil Cultivators, Immortals, True Gods? Fenrir cares not for any such titles~! Stand in Fenrir's way and be devoured with the rest! Master, wait for Fenrir~! This novel is an omake-spinoff of Endless Path : Infinite Cosmos. Though it will definitely have some 'dark' elements, it is intended to be more of a series of comedic shorts than an actual novel. Though it does require knowledge of EP:IC, it should still be enjoyable for casual readers~! Chapter length will only be around 500 words and the pacing will be rather fast. I'm writing this alongside EP:IC (which is around 100k words per week), so cut me some slack (UwU)...

Chapter 1 - Start By Going Back...

Fenrir was a happy young Vanargandr, a unique species of wolves who possessed an affinity with Devouring Laws. She had been given life by her beloved Master, Vahn Mason, after he subjugated her within the Dungeon, a Labyrinthine structure with an unknown depth in the record of Danmachi. Starting as a lowly Kobold, one of the weakest creatures in the entire Dungeon, Fenrir had a rather pathetic existence that was slated for an early end. In fact, her existence was so pathetic that, like most monsters, she didn't even have a sliver of intelligence, nor did she even possess the most minimalistic fragment of a soul...at least until she met him...

-Flashback to a Year Prior-

A young boy, appearing almost 'too young', was walking through the low light of the Dungeon's 2nd Floor. Initially a group of five, a singular young Kobold that had only come into existence a few days prior watched as the young boy cut through its brethren monsters without batting an eye. There was an oppressive aura coming off of his body that caused the simple Kobold to tremble in fear, unable to muster up the courage to engage. Though its instincts were compelling it to attack, something much deeper, as if a primal urge, was holding it back. By the time the young boy had slain its four companions, the Kobold could no longer stand on its feet. Fearing for its life, it bowed to the boy and did its best to plea using what little of its inconsequential intelligence it could muster...

Looking up into the young boy's resplendent aquamarine eyes, the Kobold searched for the smallest trace of mercy. Surprisingly, the boy seemed to take pity upon it, showing hesitation and clear unwillingness to strike the killing blow. Feeling this boy would be a suitable Master, the Kobold stopped its plea and did its best to show the hesitant boy that it was willing to follow him. Seeming to understand its intent, the young boy assumed a contemplative look. However, deep within those vast and all-consuming eyes, the Kobold saw an even greater hesitation present.

Thinking the boy found it unworthy, the Kobold trembled in fear, anticipating a death that, surprisingly, never came. After a moment, it realized that the boy may be inconvenienced by its current form or simply needed more time to make a decision. Deciding to gamble its fate on this boy before it, the Kobold resisted its instincts and focused all of its essence on the core near its heart. Moments later, as if it had been slain like another weak monster, the Kobold dissolved into dust that congregated at the core that was left behind. With a sad sigh, not entirely understanding the situation, the boy picked up the core and tossed it into the void, a place where the core would sit for a much longer period of time than it expected...

While locked away in the endless space, where time itself seemed to simultaneously stagnate and spread out into eternity, the Kobold patiently awaited the day its fate might change for the better...

(A/N: I'm known for doing alternate titles at the end of chapters, but this omake-novel will instead have 'Fenrir's Commentary'. It will essentially be her 'feelings' about the content of the chapter, as if she were reading the novel alongside you. If it helps, just imagine a super fluffy and adorable wolf girl snuggling up in your lap while you read (UwU)~!)

(Fenrir's Commentary: 'Master has always been kind...')
