I wasn't sure of myself neither did I care about what is to come. No matter what happened yesterday, Kush is my friend and I can't see him suffer because of me.
Every now and then, I can't seem to understand the purpose of my life. I try to go into a cave of hiding. I hide myself away from the world, too give myself a chance of introspection. But, the more I do it, the more mess I'm in. This cycle never ends. This has been a problem since ages yet I can't bring myself to visit a counselor or a psychiatrist. I do need one of them. I've always been in need of attention and care but I never seeked any professional help. I have been looking around for good people in my life.
Although by this time I've understood genuinely good people are hard to come and harder to keep. They don't like to stick to one person. They are the explorers.
Anyway, coming back to that day in Sinwa city when I entered Kush's place, I could have never imagined what happened that day even in my worst nightmare.
I took it very casually and entered Kush's building. I rang the doorbell but nobody answered. I tried calling Raaviehe said he's already inside.
As soon as I went ahead and entered the passcode to Kush's place, Garry and Raavie came out from nowhere and rushed me inside the flat.
'You were not inside already, were you? You don't even have your stuff hidden over her!' I tried to bluff and added to it 'I was right, wait for Police to arrive now, I'll be the witness.'
'Stop bluffing, we know you have the money.' Raavie snatched away my handbag while Garry pinned me to the wall.
Raavie nodded in agreement after taking cash out of my bag and Garry let go of me.
I tried to bluff them again, 'I do have the money to show to the police that I am the one who do drugs not Kush and I buy it from you whereas Kush is innocent. I'll sink with you!'
Garry got furious as this will be the first time ever they were going to be caught by police.
Raavie was still holding my bag in his hand, he fished out my Phone to check calling history. There was a call made to the police helpline number and another couple of calls to Kush.
The duo panicked. Garry smashed Kayra's head into the wall and then into the glass table nearby. Everything was so sudden that there was no time to fight back. Even Raavie couldn't believe Garry's action.
Raavie was in love with a girl, who was in love with his money. He was well off and did a pretty decent part time jobs alongwith his college. Raavie was the college sweetheart for whom every girl would have eyes for. Raavie was sincere with his feelings for Laiba. He never cared for expenses. No matter how much they spend together, Raavie would always have his allowance from his part time job or from freelancing, directly sent to Laiba's account.
He never asked why she needed the money. He doted on her and thought she might need extra money for her makeup or for shopping.
On an unfortunate day, Laiba got caught while buying drugs. She put the entire blame on Raavie saying she has never had done drugs her entire life. Raavie made her do this work without consent. She was there on behalf of her boyfriend, just to borrow some notes. Having stash in the same bag as notes came in handy that day for Laiba.
She didn't imagined that a drug test would be done and she'll be caught. Raavie was grilled because of the money. Although he stated truth, he had no proof for his innocence in the matter. Drug tests coming out to be negative was the only positive thing in his life at that time.
He got suspended from college, other students who were jealous of him gave false statements to the college authorities in order to make Raavie's life a little harder. His own family disowned him.
Despite his hatred for girls, Raavie would have never been violent had he been in Garry's shoes.
What's done is done! Raavie knew better than anyone else what it is to be under police suspicions. Raavie grabbed Garry as soon as he realised the situation, preventing him from hitting Kayra anymore.
After a quick combat between the duo, they decided to run away. Although Raavie wanted to call the ambulance for Kayra but Garry adviced against it and this is how they fled the scene.
Kayra was left there to die. She was in so much pain that dying seemed to be a better option. The duo took away her phone, not that it would have mattered much had it been left behind. Kayra had no strength to move at all. She was awake, lying in the pool of her own blood.
She was having glimpses of her past as if her mind was aware of the surroundings and was giving her a last chance to recall her deeds.
What made her deserve such a fate? It was her lies, because of which her flatmate left her for good. Her ever increasing craving for alcohol and her recklessness were the reasons for her being here.
She hoped Kush to be clear of drugs allegations and wished him luck. She told herself that she was acting out all this while was because her end was near and she experienced every strange thing there is!
Except for the strangest of all, Love!
