Chapter 21 - Cultivator Battling

Tang Peng slid down from the Mountain Walker's back, cringing when his legs hit the ground and he tripped over. Following that, he started to walk along the route that he had made in his mind.

He had encountered the place where the beasts had died, but the beast corpses that had been piled up was cleared away. The only thing left was the plentiful amount of Yin Qi, which he absorbed readily.

While walking on his route, he still luckily retained his decency, as the purple robes that was part of the cultivator legacy did not break. It was made of a very good material, as Tang Peng knew that the Grudge Yin Form had stretched himself to at least 10 times his normal size.

Ever since Tang Peng could move again, he could not utilise the power running skill that he had utilised last time. His body had evidently still not fully recovered from the battle he had.

He could only at most walk, in order not to wake up any nearby demonic beasts and to not damage his body any further. There were no dangerous encounters on his route.

Occasionally, he stopped to gather Yin Qi in the surrounding area. The soul flame still ate everything up, so Tang Peng was not able to improve his cultivation at all.

"Aiii... Why can't I improve my cultivation at all?" Tang Peng sighed, as he continued to absorb the Yin Qi bear the boundary. Recently, there was a lot more Yin Qi than usual, but something was preventing the Yin Qi from being converted into spiritual soil.

As he stood up, he was determined to cross the boundary. He was pretty sure that this barrier only obstructed the people entering, not the people exiting.

As he was about to cross the boundary, a sudden thought raced across Tang Peng's mind. He searched the purple robes he was wearing, and a shocked expression appeared on his face.

"The Yin Gathering Art book! I lost it in that battle! I haven't even finished the contents! I'm so stupid! Stupid!" Tang Peng berated himself as he smacked himself on the head. Then, he turned back with an anxious attitude. What if someone had taken away the book already?

Tang Peng was desperate, so he did not care about the sleeping demonic beasts that was around anymore, and directly rushed back to the Mountain Walker's resting place.

Even though the demonic beasts woke up, none of them dared to provoke or attack Tang Peng. The presence around of him, even though much weaker, had the power of the Mountain Walker, the beast which had suppressed them over centuries.

As Tang Peng scrambled to get back to that location, his legs started to work again, due to the repeated circulation of the Yin Qi, which had repaired his muscle tendons. This allowed him to utilise the power running skill he had, even though he was much slower than previously.

"Move faster! Goddamn it! Move faster!" Tang Peng grumbled, as he propelled his legs to even faster speeds. However, he still took a long time to eventually arrive back at the location. It was not like a magical boost would suddenly aid him to become faster.

Tang Peng's eyes pupils started wandering all over the area, looking for the Yin Gathering Art book. He started to breathe heavily, as his eyes could not locate any sign of the book anywhere.

"C'mon... it should be around here somewhere. Please!" Tang Peng started to search every nook and cranny of the area around him. Anything that looked like it was dark, he rushed over to it to see if it was the cover of the book. None of them were the book.

Eventually, he had searched everywhere on the ground. He even tried to dig out the area where he remembered he had lost control to the Grudge Yin Form. However, no signs of a book appeared around. There was only one place left he haven't searched. The last thing that was left on the ground, was the Mountain Walker's body.

Tang Peng started to create an Yin Qi circulation between his soul and his arms, just as how he remembered it. He then moved rapidly towards the Mountain's Walker corpse, knocking it over with massive strength!

"Huh? I was this strong even without the Grudge Yin Form?" Tang Peng looked at his arms in surprise. Even though the Mountain Walker was a behemoth, he still managed to flip it.

As he was about to investigate the area under the Mountain Walker, some sword shards flew at his direction. Tang Peng's face grimaced as he quickly leapt to the side to avoid the shards.

"What the hell is this? I never even provoked anyone!" Tang Peng stared at where the sword shards came from. It turned out that two cultivators were battling nearby.

"I can't believe the Thousand Arts Sect actually sent the Nothingness genius Xuan Yu to infiltrate us! You are capable enough for me to utilise Subduing Dragon: Fists of Million Gold!" The person who said this attacked the so-called Xuan Yu.

Multiple fists appeared in front of Xuan Yu, but Xuan Yu only smirked in response. "What makes you think you can beat Nothingness Veil, Zhen Zhong? Such arrogance shall be punished." It was as if the Qi technique of Zhen Zhong could not even deal a single point of damage to Xuan Yu.

"In that case, Greed Art No.1!" Zhen Zhong's Qi technique instantly turned a brighter shade of gold when he activated the art. When a fist hit Xuan Yu, a darkness was drawn out of him, which made him grit his teeth.

"You managed to successfully condense the Gold Dragon's Greed Core? You are at the Rotating Core already, but you are still battling at Firm Foundation Realm. What a stupid mistake to make."

Xuan Yu's shadow then expanded to fully cover five mountains, before it shrunk down to nothing. Five giant shadows then appeared behind Xuan Yu's back, making him grin widely.

"You already mastered Reflection of Soul stage? You're a monster! A monster!" Even though Zhen Zhong was confident of beating Xuan Yu at first, someone who had already mastered the Nothingness technique to Reflection of Soul was simply too extreme.

They could harvest the potential in any living creatures a whole realm below them, but the truly fearsome thing was that they could absorb all of the potential in a certain area. It was an extremely demonic skill, but as Thousands Arts Sect had a lot of bizarre cultivators, they could not counter the rise of these demonic cultivators.

The mystical weapons had a gloomy aura as it was covered in the potential of the living things. Xuan Yu held his favourite Lord Harvest scythe, preparing to claim Zhen Zhong's core with the lethal skill of Lord Harvest.
