Chapter 2 - Arc 1 Zombie Apocalypse - Chapter 2

[Breathe]

Closing her eyes she stood still before searching her head for what to do next. Her mind raced with the first thing coming to mind being to find a weapon but from where?

Right now she was in school and the building she was in didn't have a kitchen, neither was it the sports area so there was no place she could think of that had a weapon she could use to defend herself.

Gritting her teeth she silently backed up the stairs before rushing towards the science corridor. They were her only option due to the experiments they held they just had to be something she could use.

Even if it was just a bottle of sulfuric acid surely she could find a use for that.

[Who am I kidding?]

Sulphuric acid would harm her more than it would protect her.

[Breathe]

Pushing the door to the technician's room open she searched for any equipment that seemed bigger than her hands but she was finding it hard, but what did she expect? This was high school there was just no way anything remotely dangerous would be found here, she groaned annoyed. All the good stuff like drills, or hammers, or saws would be in the DT department. And any bats would be in the sports department.

[Breathe]

There was another route to the DT corridors, the escalators, but that was only exclusive to teachers using an id badge on their lanyards. Her only hope was that some teacher wasn't wearing theirs before the alarm went off. Even then there may be some students who were in the DT corridor trying to defend themselves.

The DT corridor had two entrances, one was exclusive to teachers, that what the one that was locked, the only way to getting to the reception from that corridor. If you were a student you had to go out the other end of the corridor and walk around to the doors that faced the playground. That meant a few survivors could be holding up in the corridors but they were most likely all students considering they hadn't used the escalators yet to get up here.

[Breathe]

This sucked, and she couldn't even call 999 due to the fact the school was built with material that made it nearly impossible to get any network, cursing under her breath she rushed to the classrooms searching the teacher's desks for their lanyards. Checking them one by one she became increasingly worried when she couldn't find any. Why did they all take their lanyard?

[Breathe]

Her mind clicked as she remembered her teacher talking about how she normally kept her lanyard in her bag, calming her increasingly anxious self she quickly went to the teacher's room before searching through the bags. A brilliant idea passed through her head and she picked up one of the bags that seemed like a normal rucksack and emptied it on the floor before picking out rather important objects and packing it back in.

She let out a small shout of relief as she found the keys; then she made sure to pack what she thought was important, even picking apart the emergency first aid kit and taking the few bottles of water in the fridge, then she put on the bag, strapping it tightly on her body so it didn't feel baggy she calmed herself once more.

[Breathe]

Loud voices could be heard from the ground floor as the teachers argued and a few steps could be heard coming up. She smirked, they had finally realised what was happening, ignoring it she rushed back to the science corridors closing the doors behind her.

Pressing the button with the arrows facing down multiple times she couldn't help but feel a rising fear and realisation that she might die by the end of today. Her mind whizzed through various people close to her and she closed her eyes as the elevator doors opened.

[Breathe]

She had to assume they were ok, if this is only happening in school then they should be ok, her home was relatively far away so even if this spreads they should be able to escape before it gets to them.

She walked in facing the door and opened her eyes.

[Assume they're alive]

[Breathe]

If she died right now wouldn't they be sad?

The doors closed slowly and watched them wearily before suddenly jumping back as a hand stopped the doors from closing. The doors opened up revealing an older kid with dark brown hair and tanned skin. Her light brown eyes narrowed dangerously as his tall frame practically blocked the light from flooding in.

"Hey."

[Kill]
