Keeping it quite wasn't what she exactly expected. She was true in predicting that they, whoever the fuck they are, would come again to capture Nana. What the hell are they looking for, Ping doesn't really know. But she do know that it's related to her since she was the one to grant the girl some of her magic.
"They saw me healing a wounded stray dog. I didn't know until they claimed that they have a footage from a street camera. I was careless, I'm sorry." Nana informs when she woke up from the drug induced sleep. She slept for two continues day. Mama Huang was worried but Ping calm the women down and said it's just the exhaustion.
They didn't do nothing but drug Nana and kept her in the case but it was enough to shaken up the girl.
"It's okay, I'm here with you. Xiao Wang is here too. You have us to protect you." Ping had hold Nana in her arms whispered words of assurance.
Not to take any chances, Ping put up protection spells on both Nana and her mother, making them wear a bracelet made of threads and beads. It was after a month when Nana call her relying the message a man she saw asked her to sent to whoever rescued her.
The message was to met the man on a given time and place. Wang Jiu advised against it but Yan Ping was ready to tear them down if needed be.
"They hurt Nana, there's no way I would leave such opportunity to meet them." Ping had said, smirking so sinister that left Wang Jiu praying for a bloodbath. He wants it too, but he's just worried for his master. She hasn't had her awakening yet.
Beijing, at some cafe in the middle of the day. Ping hates high end cafés were everything was overpriced beyond its quality.
"You're paying for the coffee." Ping said as soon as she sat down in front of a man who was wearing way too formal work suit to be an office worker. She's unafraid and unaffected, but she didn't forget to wear the glamour on Wang Jiu's request though. The fox was way to worried about her more than anything.
The man starred at her and was observant of her physical features and how Ping was ordering the beverage for herself and a piece of pastry.
"How are you related to that girl?" the man questions, eyeing her up and down.
"Well, ain't you rude. How about introductions first?" Ping stares back at the man, leaning back on her seat as she observes the man in front of her. The man seems to be in his thirties, fairly tall but not taller than Wang Jiu, speaks standard Chinese and looks serious with his stoic face and lips frowning.
"Lu Mao Ning. I work for an organisation who oversees unnatural events and such."
"Like a MIB movie?"
The man shifts in his seat under Ping's strong gaze. "Yes, it's that kind of organisation.... The lad back in Guangzhou, how did you did that such extreme damaged?"
Ping smirks at the man and watch as the cafe worker put down her order and went back quickly with an awkward smile.
"I did what I did because you took what's mine. I do not tolerate stealing or ignorant behaviours. Please do note it." Ping ships her coffee and put the cup back down.
"What are you?"
"Born human but not exactly."
"Are you a witch?"
"Funny." Ping chuckles, "I'm not, i don't practice witchcraft or their ways. You don't see a wand, do you?"
"Then what are you?"
"I can be what you are assuming and more. I never identity myself with anything."
"What can you do?"
"Depends on what you want to see."
"Anything."
Just then, an earthquake shook the city. Ping sits through the solid minute of it, watching the people around her screaming and crying at the sudden event happening. The man Lu, stares at her in bewilderment and shock.
"I really want to kill you right now." Ping glares at the man. The earthquake stopped but it lefts a silence, making people anticipating the aftershock, "I'm here to warn you, I'll kill you people the next time you cross me. Am I clear?"
"You think we'll let you?" the man Lu says even when he's shaken up from the earthquake. "This can't be you." he refuses to believe it.
"Who's your leader? where is he? I'll decide if I want you gone or not after I meet that person." Ping nonchalantly looks at the man who sneers at her but still pull out his phone from his coat to make a call.
That's how Ping found herself inside a huge office in front of a man and his assistant. That Lu Mao Ning man did git told to bring her right into the HQ to meet the top authority there.
"I thought you were someone older. You're only a child and yet to even finish puberty." the man said, observing even her pattern of every breath.
"What do you want from me?"
"Do you know about necromancy?"
-Master, do not answer- Wang Jiu pleads through their bond.
Ping smiles and tilts her head as she shrugs her shoulders, "I never had the reason to practice such blasphemy."
"I hope you'll read it. You can contact me if you're interested." the man put out a little note book and a card towards her on the table.
Ping just took the given things and walks down the stairs of the building. "They already know enough, they don't have to know more." Wang Jiu had scolded when his master was ready to teleport back home. Ping took a train away from the busy city and stops at the station on the next place. Then she goes to the public restroom and teleported right to Nana's room.
