Chapter 17 - Bad Decisions

Ping hates when she have to face the trouble others cause for her. She had never tried bringing back the death but she can if she really tries to. She just doesn't want to. That dead English lady sounded ignorant and self-centred. Ping didn't like that. Sure she also hold herself over others when it comes to using inhuman strength and mind works but she knows some people are better than her in some aspects. Fei Yu sounds loyal enough for her to respect him and spare him from ending up dying in her hand.

As soon as she walks in and close the door behind her, Nana came crashing into her arms with a pretty cute sniffs as she warps her arms around the tallers' neck.

"Where were you? I almost cried!" Nana scolded the younger girl.

"She already cried twice waiting for you." Wang Jiu comments and got glared cutely by his Lady.

"Traitor, you promised not to tell her." Nana whines but didn't move an inch when Wang Jiu winds his arm to hug both of them.

"She tired herself by crying hard master but she got up and run across the house when I said that you're here." Wang Jiu informs and smiles seeing that his master is well and came back without any harm.

Ping pats on Wang Jiu's arm affectionately and turn to look down at her other lover in her arms, "Baby, my pretty baby, are you tired? wanna sleep now?" she coos and speaks in a soothing voice to Nana who was almost falling asleep in her arms.

"Please shower, I want you to cuddle me to sleep." Nana sighs and turn to burry herself into Wang Jiu arms instead and kicks softly at Ping's leg, mumbling her to hurry up.

"No need to kick, you whiney baby." Ping kisses Nana's cheeks before asking the fox to head to bed while she herself teleports right to the bathroom they shares.

Ping told Wang Jiu where she was and what happened there and the conversation she sad with that man. Nana was already asleep and softly breathing against Yan Ping when she talked with the fox. Wang Jiu chided her afterwards, saying that going there alone was careless even if she is capable of taking them down alone. Wang Jiu made her promised to tell him if something like this happens again.

"I'd rather accompany you than watch you stand alone from afar before our possible enemy." the fox had stated solemnly.

They both agreed to not tell Nana since it will only make her worry.

"Yannie!" Nana came running and sat down right on Ping's lap. "I got A!" she then shows the girl her test papers with an excited smile.

Ping can see how people are giving them judging glances but she didn't care about them and kisses the others cheek before talking the papers. Nana got A on her last class test their professor surprised them with.

"I'm proud of you my Nina." Ping hold the girl and sways them from side to side, making the girl giggle cutely.

"You're supporting me so the least I can do is not fail my classes." Nana comments, smiling sweetly at the other.

"Wanna go get lunch, I only got one class left on 2:20. You're class are done right?" Ping stands up from the glass and pulls up the other along beside her. It diverts the girl from making comments about their financial expenses. Ping don't want to answer to that question yet.

"I want cold noodles!" Nana says, bouncing on her steps and pulling along Ping out of the campus. The restaurants and cafes near the university are always overpriced and low in quality, and Ping never got herself to visit them even once.

Ping called Wang Jiu since the fox was nearby, then they all went to a decent restaurant that Ping chose. She wanted them to eat healthy food, not take outs like Nana does.

"I want noodles." Nana says with a pout.

"I can't eat noodles for a straight whole month, and I'm not letting you eat too much unhealthy food. Eat your rice or I'll make you." Ping sighs and gave the girl a look.

"Eat, my Lady." Wang Jiu says, pushing the plate of curry and rice towards Nana with an encouraging smile.

Nana huffs and puffs but still ate the meal. Ping promised to make her a batch of cookies, it was the main reason Nana ate actually.

Their lunch wasn't bad though, it was tasty and Ping noted to herself come back later.

After lunch, Ping asks Wang Jiu to just head home for the day with Nana while she go back for her last class of the day. Maybe it was for the best because she ran into those men again.

They were waiting for her by the university entrance, gave her an envelope and left without any commotion. It contains her both parents pictures. Maybe they really got them in their building, she don't know. It's just irritates her so much. Are they really desperate to revive that old lady to go to such length as tracking down her parents and threatens her.

It only gives her headaches.

Still, even if she don't love them they are her parents non the less.

Ming Fei Yu looks proud and smirks at Ping when she walk up to the room. The count was at a table with her parents, who look anything but pleased at the situation.

Her mother stands, walk up to her and slap her across her face.

"It's always you who cause trouble for us, your existence itself is a curse upon our family. Why don't you just go kill yourself with your petty witch way?!"

"Ma'am her skills are anything but petty, I thought you'll be glad to have such a daughter." Fei Yu chuckles.

"I never wanted a child with such abnormalities!!" Mama Li scoffs and sits back down beside her husband.

"Li Yan Ping, what is the meaning of this?" Father Li questions but Ping just sighs and turn towards the Count.

"Do you really think I'll do something disastrous for the sake of saving people who don't even consider me as a person?" Ping asks the man, raising her eyebrows in annoyance.

"You came, it shows that you care." Count Ming says, smiling innocently.

"Well, they are still the one who birthed me so I guessed yeah." Ping shrugs her shoulders and sat down by the empty chair beside the Count.

"Yan Ping!"

"Shut up, you have no right to call me by my name." Ping glares at her own mother, before she waves her hand at them. A circle of ancient runes appears above the couple and dissolved away along with them. They were annoying her anyway.

"So where were we." She turns back to face the Count, "Ah, reviving your mother yes. I can only tell you how to but I can't help you throughout the ritual."
