Chapter 5 - Level Up

I think I have seen the stats wrong. I rubbed my eyes and look at the Memento Mori title that I just acquired.

"Memento Mori"

Remember, we are mortal and we must accept death since it is our only destination. You are the fated one to accept it countless of times, giving you your past lives experiences into your current life,

Effect: 300% EXP increase.

Whatever I do, it is 300% experience increase! I the system affected by the bug of the Respawn Bug of the Death Forest? No, I can't be wrong by this since I have a photographic memory. Ever since I was a kid, I already knew I have the gift of photographic memory due to the fact that I can remember everything I saw and experience in my whole life, not even getting the chance to forget any bad things in my life. Though it might be convenient for remembering things, it's not a good thing for bad memories you wanted to forget but you can't due to your gift.

I trusted my memories in my past, and whatever I do, it's the stats I remembered, it's 200% percent, but how come it is 300% experience increase now? I cannot forget it at all! This is the Memento Mori we are talking about!

"Isn't this too OP?" I frowned.

Despite obtaining such a good reward, I don't think I wanted this kind of increase since it will surely attract too much attention if found out by the public! Most people in the gaming community tends to be a jealous bunch of *ssholes and if they saw a player having a good *ss equipment or buff, they quickly try to hunt down info to get it too, if the item or equipment is just one in the whole world, they just decided to team up and hunt the guy down! F*cking *ssholes, bunch sh*ts! I despise those people.

But since I have no more choice, and I already obtained it, I have to make sure that no one knew I obtain a freaking good buff. I prefer doing solo but many I can't escape the fact that sooner or later in the game, I need to get into a temporary party. I prefer doing all of this in low key, I don't want to be popular, I grew tired of that.

After my revival countdown, my body quickly rise up and before the Black Wolves can do harm to me, I quickly evaded their aggro range and with my quick reflexes, I don't need to fully do anything and just sprint out of the forest.

I already memorized the layout of this forest and I am still powerless against this monsters despite my God Tier weapon. That weapon is still in beginner class so why do I have to challenge 5 levels higher than me? That's basically suicidal!

While traversing the densely covered forest, I opened my stats panel and distributed my free AP to my stats. Most players tend to spend every AP in the ATK attribute but in reality, ATK only affects your damage output instead of your main damage base. Wan't good damage? Pick a good weapon. Even if you raise your ATK in maximum but your weapon are your bare fist, you can barely kill a chicken by punching unless you are persistent, sure you can, though.

Since my class is an all rounder character, I don't need to focus on strength too much. I added 3 AP to my AGI to raise my hit rate and movement speed, 2 to DEX and 1 to DEF since they are basically almost the same however, DEX deals with max health and max endurance unlike DEF that deals with Defense only. I also put 3 points to my INT since I will follow my magic class skills in the past. Since my class can do both Magician class and Magic Knight class, this is getting much better. And I spent the last point to ATK.

I also put my equipment on, and seeing the God tier weapon and the normal beginner sword, I thought that I can actually test the Devour skill of the God Tier weapon! But since I am still not that free, I should just stick equipping the God Tier weapon for now. I check my stats again for changes, and yep there are new stats appearing.

Player Name: Bladeheart

HP: 390

MP: 175

Base Defense: 20

Base Agility: 21

[DEX]: 7

[INT]: 7

[AGI]: 8

AP left: 10

EQUIPMENT:

Beginner Sword

Beginner Armor

Beginner Hood

Beginner Gloves

Beginner Shoes

Beginner Necklace

Sure enough that is my equipment and base stats, my health and Mana points also rose however, that is not really the case since those are scraps later. I am not satisfied wearing this since you look like a villager wearing this beginner items. I will soon grind for better armor and also weapon to feed this God Tier weapon of mine.

I didn't forget to check my skills set. It's practically needed for me. And since my class is basically the combination of all class in the game, I need to be cautious on spending my SP. SP can only be earned in raising proficiency in a particular weapon, which made many players in the past who choose the Versatile class to have a headache. But with the help of the God Tier weapon, I don't need to covet any weapons too much since I can rely on my weapon alone without changing anything.

I still have 20 free SP and since this is free SP, I can freely allocate these SP in any class that I want. Naturally, I picked three classes to start my skills first which is the Magician class, Magic Knight Class and the Ninja Class. Different skills costs randomly so many tend to raise the proficiency rate of their weapons but due to the slow rate of raising, they have a hard time doing so. That is why I am lucky to earn the Death's Favorite Title, I don't need to equip it, but the effects is already applied into my character. Same to the Memento Mori which is now obviously OP.

I first learn three basic skills of the Magician Class which is the Basic Fireball which cost 3 SP, Ice Prison which costs 2 SP and Shocking Lightning which costs 3 SP. In Magic Knight class, I choose the Earth Fissure which costs 4 SP, Flaming Sword which costs 5 SP. And last is the Ninja class which is the Silent Sprint which costs 1 SP and Concealment which costs 2 SP.

The reason why the Magic Knights skills are too damn big than the two latter classes is due to their huge damage outputs and most of them are AOE skills which is really OP especially if you are dealing mobs. Moreover, it is really worth learning early since you can use this skills for a minimum of 5 MP per casts which is pretty convenient for players with low mana. The skills in magician are for holding fast moving enemies and to also deal with PK players. They also deal huge damage early in the game so they are worth learning. As for the Ninja skills, it's not worth mentioning, it's for ambushing enemies, catching them surprised. Really good for PK if I say so myself.

After learning all of the skills, I also managed to reach the exit of the Death Forest. My leveling area is not on the clearing where the leveling mobs are located. That place is crowded with players doing subjugation quests in the town and if they saw my leveling speed, they might report me in the GM community and dare to say that I am cheating. I never wanted that so I quickly decided to do another fast leveling method, however, it is a higher risk area. Moreover, the enemies here are physically resistant which made many players who are not magically affliated in magic to roar in frustration. I specifically made this area as a hunting spot due to the fact that I can practically practice my magic skills here and also to raise the mastery in my magic and mana capacity.

Many players are clueless at first on how to raise the mana capacity without wasting the AP into INT attribute. That's when it was found out that exhausting your mana capacity and letting it recover without drinking mana potion could increase the man's capacity. It is a very good technique making everyone who did not notice the true way of raising the maximum mana capacity groan in frustration since they have wasted most of their AP to the INT attribute a lot, only to have a few increase in the maximum mana capacity.

I quickly activated my Silent Sprint, making my movement and pace fast enough to reach the area.

"Player discovered a new Area, Diamond Mine"

The name of the place might be tempting however, its too bad you can't find a single diamond in the area. The reason is that the area is filled with Elemental slimes. Elemental slime's favorite food are precious gem, exhausting the mine's resource of precious gem. Killing the slimes will only drop better items and not a single gemstones to mine, making the players to groan in wasting time here, looking for inexistent item.

However, my objective here are the monsters. In the clearing, killing 30 Yard Imps will raise you to level 0 to level 1. If you are equipped with a buff of 100% increase experience, then you just needed to kill 25 Yard Imps. If in my situation where I own a 300% experience increase, killing 10 Yard Imps will allow me to level from level 0 to level 2! In this area, Elemental Slimes level are level 2. Killing 20 Elemental Slimes will allow me to reach level 4 without much trouble. Moreover, the drops here are usually the basic weapons for the Magic Knights and Magician. Some materials for blacksmithing are also present here. What I wanted to get here is the Core of the Slime Necklace which allows yourself to raise your attack speed twice than your current attack speed. However, the drop rate is practically low.

Stepping into the mine, I quickly saw a Fire Elemental Slime. I quickly grinned. My first target. I changed the weapon form of the beginner sword into beginner wand and casts my magic attack, aiming it to the fire elemental Slime.

"Ice Prison!".

The fire Elemental Slime surroundings were invaded by ice before they encasing the slime into the prison. I didn't stop there and casted another skill.

" Shocking Lightning!"

A single lightning appeared in my hand, before striking the encased slime and siphoning all of the Health of the slime.

"Congratulations to Player, Bladeheart for reaching Level 1...

Congratulations to Player, Bladeheart for reaching Level 2...

Congratulations to Player, Bladeheart for reaching Level 3!"

I shivered. I didn't expect the effects of Memento Mori to be this awesome. But what I was stunned to see is the accessory dropped by the slime. If I am not wrong, that is the necklace that has the lowest drop rate in the early levels, Core of the Slime Necklace.
