Chapter 3 - Two

[Back to the present]

"God damn slime skills!" Deal yelled in a cacophony of gurgled sounds. *Slime sigh*

Given two days to think about his predicament as he calls it. He started conjuring up whatever different ideas a curious mind as his could consider.

The results.

"Impeccable! Hahahaha! I truly do feel my genius glowing" He smirked while quietly gloating. He was still wary of his surroundings as he enjoyed feeling smug.

If one considers transporting to another world after a few mild headaches and, possibly, a strange book giving him epilepsy. Deal was sure he wasn't in this on purpose.

The world he felt was still a distorted muddly realm.

Deal realized if he truly was a slime the synopsis should guarantee a cheat. He at the very least dearly hoped for one. Considering it was either transported to another world or it was being severely crippled in its "human life" to the point, it was simply a blob of consciousness stuck inside his head. Almost as if it was in a coma.

The reality was scary.

Nonetheless, Deal kept trying to think as hard as he could of better possibilities.

"..."

"Why the %$#^ did I just use "It" as a reference of myself!" Deal realized his error and felt aggravated at how his slime body affected his thinking.

"^%#% you slime body! I rule over myself. I'm Deal Shan you bastard!" The sudden outrage at his mental thinking led to a slightly higher level of hope. He knew he wouldn't ever think that way if he was still him, even if it was simply in the form of a comatose blob of consciousness.

After all, he did have to seriously consider every possibility.

Gathering his thoughts back on the task. Deal considered his options and tested on repeatedly every code, phrase or trigger word he could think of to activate any and all cheats. He almost cried for an hour at not getting the "Guaranteed unluckiness for using the system - System". He was genuine in his beliefs that this system would have appeared the first chance it got.

"Then again, it probably got unlucky and missed its chance." A shallow attempt at feeling better he thought.

Realizing he was on his own, he wiggled in thought and stumbled upon something his mind couldn't ignore.

"This is it!" He thought as a gleeful smile appeared or at least it did in his feelings.

"If I don't get a system... what if I just become the system?" His delusions getting the best of him.

However, considering his jello-esk body. He knew he was in for a rough ride. He had secretly hoped millions of times in the back of his mind that his situation could get better.

He tried scouring through his memories for an answer to his situation. The myriad of things he learned throughout life from brushing his teeth to the deadliest rituals of the olden era from his readings.

His thoughts flashed across his mind without solution until the it landed on the final book he read.

It was a contorted mess of words he couldn't understand, one which felt more alien to him than his knowledge of women.

The only thing he could remember more clearly was a symbol appearing while he seemingly read the epilepsy chronicles.

The symbol was a tower leading towards the sky, or so it seemed. It was a mix between an arrow and a pyramid but still didn't feel like either or.

It was flashing with an intent he didn't understand but recognized as mystical.

It was the sensations that gave it such an unreal feeling. It was almost like reading his ancient texts and scriptures while simultaneously giving him a dangerous vibe.

"The book of the damned... that's definitely what I picked up that day... %*#÷!" Deal wasn't remotely feeling well about his discovery.

He may entirely be wrong from his haphhazard guessing but he knew it could only be something similar if not the god damn thing itself.

"Deep breaths Deal, deep thoroughly suffocating breaths!" His attempts at suffocating to death from fear did not affect his water balloon body.

"Considering the myriad of slime adventures I read. I am more than equipped but without a system. I am pretty much stuck with the good old kill and level strategy..." Deal contemplated as he realized he had to start killing while being blind as a bat, hearing impaired as a senile old man and in lack of limbs like a worm.

The symbol from the epilepsy chronicles which had become its official name due to Deal's heavy bias, was constantly flickering in his thoughts or mind itself. He found it odd at first but gave up caring as he had crap to kill and survival was his only drive now.

Hours passed.

Deal was aware of his unrealistic views on supposed exp and leveling being a real factor in this new world of his. However, it was all that gave him hope while essentially being a water ball with consciousness.

The only oddity he had discovered after his three days in the hazy world was that he felt energized.

He had the strange feeling he was receiving nutrients from somewhere but didn't know where. This scared him rather than relieve.

"It's an IV drip. %#$!, I'm guaranteed to be in a hospital."
