Chapter 4 - Inheritence Treasures

The demon flock charged towards the sect headquarters as Brave entered in a few quick commands to get the cultivators to charge over.

They both in the twenty minutes they cultivated had time to pour over the angel light body cultivation art in their minds, and could already gather their qi into their fist and use it as a weapon.

As for the demon flock, they were insect like creatures part of his heaven plague series. The heaven plague series consisted of a multitude of monsters that could be randomly generated by the algorithm! Even if he had a clue what was going to happen, he still couldn't predict exactly what the creatures were going to look like when they spawned.

The Ai's in the year 2035 were able to morph multiple creatures together even on the most modest processor and create unique opponents for the players. The insects, still though, for just beginning level 1 players would die easily to 2 cultivators.

If he only had one cultivator, like he imagined some noob players might have chosen, they wouldn't be able to handle such a simple raid without sacrificing at least ten miners! This was another reason why one cultivators was a trap, and also why he didn't expect to be raided!

Brave, however, didn't watch the cultivators fight against the basic water insects, and instead walked over to the blacksmith shop with the servant next to him. She looked extremely satisfied seeing their town had grown, and reverentially followed Brave.

Every once in a while, she'd look up hoping a tribulation wouldn't strike her, but the emperor had promised her that she'd be fine.

As the battle with the cultivators continued, a carriage came up to the blacksmith shop, and out came a small girl with an anvil. When you got a blacksmith shop, you'd automatically get a junior apprentice, and she could forge basic swords.

Her cute doll like expression stared up at Brave and his eminent robe with disdain. Her village lived a few miles away, and she was forced to be here. Due to this being her first encounter with Brave, her loyalty at the moment was completely dependent on her pay. She looked at him like Brave would have looked at a teacher at Penn State.

However, like a divine wind had carried her into the shop, she dropped her bag and stared in awe at the anvil and hammer. Immediately, she looked much calmer and more appeased, almost as if she had been given a gigantic candy bar.

Suddenly, her personality took a 180-degree turn, and she picked up the hammer before Brave commanded her to start working on ten spears.

"So, I'm guessing your village must be close by. Can you please tell me the name of your village, and the distance it is from here to there?" Brave needed to know this information because he also needed to put a sect recruitment stall to attract nearby villagers.

Unfortunately, installing the sect recruitment stall would cost him 1000 gems, and the spears cost him 100 gems. If he knew where the surrounding village was, he could at least save himself a few seconds.

She looked at him and took this information to heart wondering why her chest started to soften as she looked up at the emperor. It was like someone in the sky was commanding her to answer his question, and she couldn't resist.

"I…I come from Moonstone village… does that answer your question emperor?"

"Yes, now can you point to the exact direction of the village, and also tell me if you saw anything along the way? For instance, did you see any men who looked similar to those two cultivators?"

Brave commanded the members of his village, in the game, to be able to answer questions. This is one of the main reasons he created the blacksmith shop first! He wouldn't have to scout, and instead could rely on this information!

However, he realized he soon had to start looking for a treasure spawning point. If there was one advantage he'd have, it would be in finding an inheritance. Because of his knowledge of the code, he'd have an advantage the cheat device he had planted near his base.

These items weren't meant to be easy to find, and in fact, even when he had the AI test it the night before his presentation, after playing 100,000 games with itself, it still only found it twenty times out of 100,000!

He walked out of the blacksmith shop, and turned towards the little cute servant girl next to him.

"So, can you tell me a little bit about where you grew up, and how you got here?" Brave knew that this was a real world somehow being manipulated by the gods. For instance, it seemed as soon as that girl came here a spell befell her, and she was bewitched to work for him.

As for this little cute minion of his, she wiggled her feet together and shook her head.

"My family was killed dear emperor by demon beasts when I was five… For ten years I was a beggar in the capital. However, then during a dream I started walking towards the south."

"By the time I arrived at this location, nine beautiful women told me about the glorious emperor, and I immediately took the job."

"However, when I saw you, I felt like I entered into a spell, and now I'd be willing to give you every little piece of me."

Brave couldn't even begin to comprehend what kind of hex the gods put on this girl. However, the blush on his face almost nearly made him stop searching for the inheritance treasure.

He walked right past the cultivators who were still fighting for their lives against the insect creatures, and made his way up to a tree… He looked up and observed the branches, counting the numbers that spawned, and then used that number to pace towards the left.

After pacing for that number of steps, he followed this procedure for three more trees, and sure enough he found a small mound with a hole in the ground.

The girl next to him looked shock as Brave through propriety to the side and tore of his elegant robe. He dug into the earth with his hand, and slammed it against a glass bottle!

"Ah! I found it! I finally found it… Now, whatever your name is, can you please help me dig away the dirt?"

The girl blushed and looked up at Brave. "Sorry, my name is Lively dear emperor… My parents called me that because I don't shut up, and look like a trouble maker…"

"Well, I'm glad the gods chose you Lively, and not some other schmuck like that Togukawa asshole! As for your mouth, I'd rather you talk then stay quiet…"

"Really? I mean when I talk I keep talking and talking and talking! My mother said it might be a disease of some sort, before she died, and she once taped my mouth shut because I didn't learn my lesson…"

Brave smiled at her before she finally pulled out the bottle. Inside of it, he hoped it would be what he needed to somehow survive his overpowered opponents.

In fact, he needed to find quite a few more of these inheritances to survive, and he immediately took the bottle from her and opened it up to see its contents.
