"What the heck?"
Tomoko was thoroughly and utterly confused. Did she mention how confused she was? She had just found herself in a pile of dung.
"....."
Tomoko stared down at the weird little robot thing in front of her. It stood at around two and a half feet tall with an appearance similar to a child pretending to be an astronaut.. A shiny smooth head with a chubby and stout head. In place of its face was a black screen, above the screen was the number 13 in red.
"So, you're saying that the car accident I was in affected 20 people? And I have to help twenty people?"
"Yes," the little robot thing walked around Tomoko, "You caused twenty to suffer emotional distress in the final moments of your life."
"What a load of bull, there's no way. For one thing, I was wasn't even driving."
"You were in the vehicle when the accident happened, you will be treated the same way as the driver."
Tomoko was amazed at how illogical the robot's logic was.
"Then how did twenty people get affected?"
"They were the families of the injured."
"... … why do I have to make up for hurting their feelings!?" Tomoko felt the effects of the robot's logic at full power.
"You will transmigrate into 20 different worlds to help your clients. Once you've gotten 20 people, you can continue for extra karma points or choose to reincarnate."
"Haa… so who's my client?" Tomoko had given up on resistance, meekly accepting her fate. 'At least it's only twenty.'
"You'll see. Worry not, your first world will be relatively easy."
