Chapter 4 - Welcome to Hell

"Welcome to Hell," Tomoko laid on the roof of an abandoned house near the city Wulong was currently in.

After making a mental declaration of war on Wulong, Tomoko had cheerfully escaped outside the wall. The drastic change in scenery and its inhabitants gave Tomoko a shock, making her drop all cheerfulness. Developing a slight trauma, Tomoko escaped the ground to make herself at home on a nearby roof. She refused to go back down unless absolutely necessary.

After around a week or so, Tomoko spotted Wulong leaving the city and trailed him. She's been doing this for several months now. Trailing Wulong as he travels and staying on a nearby roof. 13 had been nagging her about how she should take action soon.

It wasn't like she didn't want to do anything, she did. It's just that the zombies stumbling around on the ground terrified her. Tomoko felt no reassurance from knowing that they won't attack her. If the zombies won't attack her, then their maggot friends will.

She seriously felt the urge to vomit every time she peered over the edge of the roof to check on her situation. She shuddered when she imagined the horrors of those shambling corpses when they're filled with hostility.

Too mortifying. Tomoko instead turned towards the cracked mirror at her side. Much better. Call her vain if one will, Tomoko felt that anyone would be pleased with this sight for sore eyes.

Luscious petal-like lips and soft peach blossom eyes, just these two traits can make many fall for her. But her good looks did not end there, wavy brown hair reaching her waist and a curvy figure. Tomoko nodded in satisfaction, Wulong was a fool for abandoning such a woman. She could go on and on about her looks and why Wulong is stupid, but she decided to spare the readers for now since there will be future chapters containing nothing but descriptions of her appearance (Thank the author).

"Oi, he's moving again."

Tomoko stood up to stretch herself while keeping a close eye on Wulong. He entered his jeep and drove off, cruelly mowing the zombies that got in his way.

Tomoko felt her stomach clench in sympathy. 'Aye, Wulong's such a jerk.'

Tomoko followed Wulong from above, jumping from rooftop to rooftop. She took extra caution to not look down, keeping her eyes on Wulong's speeding vehicle.

...

Tomoko felt her sanity slip a bit as she laid on another roof.

It's been so long, 13's nagging had gotten even worse. Not only did she have to deal with the boredom of waiting for Wulong, but she now also gets to hear 13's voice 24/7.

"I'll do something."

"You- wha?" 13 stopped mid-sentence.

"I'll do something." Tomoko sat up as she eyed the zombies suspiciously.

"Good, get in the city. Leave the roof."

"Sure." Tomoko no longer felt fear, she was exhausted.

Tomoko had grown tired of this dark and desolate world, it's been months since her last shower. Her nose had grown used to the smell of rotting flesh and she no longer cringes at the sound of death. Even the sight of a zombie up in her face won't faze her now, Tomoko felt numb.

"Host, your personality went through a pretty extreme change. Are you alright?" Noticing her expression, 13 buzzed in her head.

"It's all your fault, jerk." Tomoko felt her face heat up in anger.

"You're fine, get a move on." 13 immediately replied to her.

Tomoko: (╬ಠ益ಠ) (¬д¬.) :13

Tomoko had finally gotten off her comfy roof and walked, on the ground, towards the city. When she finally got there, she came face to face with an impressive wall. And a very tight security force.

Tomoko saw three lines, one of the was significantly longer than the others. Feeling curious, Tomoko slinked towards the front of the line. There, a large sign was hanged in front of the entrance. "Human." Tomoko went to the line next to it. "Superhuman." Tomoko went to the last line. "Raiders."

"Hmm..." Tomoko ran to the back of the lines, '13, which one should I join?"

"Well you're not exactly human, are you?" 13 questioned her.

"No." Tomoko was reminded of the fact that she was a zombie.

"I've given you a superpower anyway, no need to fret." 13 reassured Tomoko.

"Alright." Tomoko quickly joined the superhuman line.

Tomoko felt slight butterflies in her stomach as she got closer and closer towards the gate. "Wait's my power?" Tomoko realized how dangerous it was for a zombie to enter a human city

"You're a flame user, just like your client."

"Oh... how come I've never seen anything about it in her memories?"

"She never knew about it."

"Oh... what now?"

"You wait."

"Oh."
