I start sprinting towards the Floatzel, if I learned one thing from Pokémon games it's that the first attack can often already be the winning hit. I guess the Floatzel is a few Levels stronger than me, I'm guessing that alone from the fact that it already evolved.
As I want to charge my Thunder Fang the Floatzel charges at me with unbelievable Speed. It's surely not a normal Tackle, I'm pretty sure I could have dodged a tackle but this...
The Floatzel closed the distance in a heartbeat and hits me with its paw and right after that tackles me with its whole body. It's a heavy and tall Pokémon compared to me so the impact pretty much throws me across the plateau right into the first rock where I defeated the first Buizels.
"AARGHH!!!..."
*cough* *cough* *cough*
[F*ck I can't breathe! What the f*ck was that?!]
My Eyes open wide as I see the Floatzel fly towards me. And I don't mean this poetically.
It literally flies to where I'm currently coughing my heart out. It has itself completely surrounded by water, looking like a rocket made of water flys towards me seemingly even faster than before with.... well I can only guess but it looked like the Quick Attack from the Anime.
I'm currently pressed with my back into the rock behind me and because the air in my body barely is sufficient to think I don't think I can dodge this either. Although the distance is far enough for me to see it coming I...
...
[what hap...]
*boooom* *sound of rubble falling all around me*
[What the hell?! What did just happen?!
Did I black out?! Did it miss?! How?!]
I open my eyes. Small rocks and rock splinters are laying all around me.
As I want to turn around I realize that I'm laying on the ground.
It seems like I passed out just at the right time to dodge the attack by crouching down. Like this is some bad Comedy Movie. Wow.
Well, I ain't mad that was the luckiest thing that ever happened to me. I'm pretty sure that Hit would have killed me otherwise.
I mean the rock pretty much got shredded halfway where the Attack hit.
I turn around and see the Floatzel land about 3 Meters behind me. I have to attack now!
I charge up again and sprit towards it as fast as I can.
The Floatzel looks angrily over its shoulder and turns around to face me.
It slams it's front paws into the ground, so hard that Sparks begin flying!
[Wait a second! Those are no normal sparks!]
As I run towards it I try to dodge the Star shaped sparks which are about as big as a football.
I close in on the Floatzel and as I get closer, only a meter is separating us now, a Star hits my shoulder.
"URGH!"
[Well that didn't hurt that much... I guess I'm just not used to getting hurt yet.]
I shake it off and continue my sprint forwards. The Floatzel tries to jump back. I try to bite its foot that is still in my reach but miss it by a hairsbreadth.
The Floatzel readies itself again. All the hair on my body stands up straight.
[Damm it! The Attacks of this Pokémon are f*cking scary. It's clearly faster than me that much is certain....]
The Floatzel opens its mouth and fires of it's Water Gun Attack.
The Water Gun Attack is surprisingly not that fast, to be honest. Maybe it's because I somehow expected it when the Floatzel opened its mouth. I try dodging it the moment I saw the water shooting out of it.
The stream of the Water Gun follows me...
[Holy sh*t please tell me, that it can't keep his up much longer!]
My problem here is that I tried dodging by sidestepping the stream of water. I have made about seven jumps to the side now but my legs clearly aren't trained for this kind of motion, I should work on that but not now!
My Luck stands strong again and the Water Gun gets canceled before my legs get the chance to give up.
"Oof"
The Floatzel looks annoyed at my sidestepping skills and stops moving for a second.
[NOW IS THE TIME! MY COUNTER ATTACK!]
Well,... my Moves currently all rely on close combat so...
I start running again, the Floatzel seems to be wary of my electric Attack and takes a few steps back.
I channel the electric energy through my body and one my mouth the sparks fly out of my teeth as I draw closer towards the Water Type Pokémon.
The Floatzel seems to be sick of the electric attacks and tries to keep its distance, slams it's front legs back into the ground firing of another Swift-Attack.
[HA! I have already seen that once!]
As I can see the Attack coming before it's fired I ready myself to dodge while keeping my pace, coming closer and closer towards the Floatzel.
The Floatzel fires it's stars and jumps back two times about two meters all in all.
Slamming into the ground once again.
The first wave of stars is right in front of me.
The first star is at head height so I just duck my head to dodge it.
The second is aimed at my shoulder.
My shoulder still itches so I make a jump to the right to dodge it.
[F*CK!]
I should have known.
Because my brain told me to dodge the shoulder shot I jumped right in front of the fourth star.
The third one being far away seemingly aimed for the exact same situation in case I jumped to the left.
The fourth one is going for my right leg. I guess the Floatzel really knows what it is doing. Trying to set me up for a fall right here...
[You sly bast*rd!]
[I don't think I ... !]
I try to do a roll of something to just get it away from my leg. If it hits my leg I'm dead meat.
[I got a good feeling about this one! The star still hasn't ...!]
*Argh!* *cough*
My roll gets canceled and I just fall over mid-roll.
As I see the third and fourth-star crash into the big rock that already took a hit. I realize that it must have been a fifth star I hadn't seen.
*cough*
I turn towards the Floatzel and see the second wave of swift energy stars flying towards me.
I jump onto my legs and change my direction.
[I have to draw it close, these ranged attacks only drain my energy and HP. It's dangerous but only Aqua Jet and Quick Attack are showing opportunities to counter.]
The first two stars hit the ground behind me. The third one hits the ground way in front of the other two. While number four wasn't even close to hitting me. Number five came closer to the rock and the sixth was the only star I had to dodge with just stopping my run. The second wave was nearly fired right after the first wave so the Floatzel couldn't predict the hits as good as with the first wave.
As I look at the Floatzel it's expression changes as it seems to think that the ranges attacks don't seem to have the wished effect.
I'm still running now changing my direction to face it again.
The Floatzel seems to scan through it's thought for a moment before deciding and starts running towards me at high speed skipping from one side to the other.
[Here it comes... another Quick Attack... I gotta say I would have hoped for an Aqua Jet...]
I change my strategy.
My original Plan was to just bite a Thunder Fang Attack into Floatzel while it tries to get me with an Aqua Jet Attack to send the shock through its whole body. But I guess this has to do it.
I try to read it's movements and dodge it that way... but it's still just way to fast for me to follow it's moves.
I end up dodging the attack by just sliding under it on my belly. I finally stop my slide and as the Floatzel stops and turns...
[Uuurrghh... that still hurt!]
I stand up and hop back and forth from my left paws onto my right paws like some dude that stepped onto the beach and realizing that the sand is way to hot.
The Floatzel tilts it's head and watches me in bewilderment for a second before returning to the here and now.
We both stand still in front of each other about 4 Meters in distance between us it feels like in some old western revolver duel.
The Floatzel opens its mouth and what looks like a Water Gun for a split second soon changes into the Floatzel being engulfed by water and right after flying towards me.
Aqua Jet.
Here it comes.
The Floatzel flies towards me at mind-blowing speed, that is at least how it feels like for me.
Might be a bit slower than the Quick Attack but not by much. There isn't much time to think and barely enough to react.
The Floatzel is clearly aiming towards my legs, understandably I have dodged a few of its attacks by ducking so I get where it gets the idea.
But things are different now. The second before it reaches my legs I jump up.
The plan is dodging it by jumping over it an shocking it to death with an electric Attack.
[Alllll....right!]
I jump.
It's going good so far but right in that exact moment, the situation does a one-eighty.
Literally.
I jump and nearly get the trick done, but while the launch worked out fine the landing takes a turn for the worst.
As I come down to land the Aqua jet is still going and while it doesn't hit my body with full force. My legs which are going down get caught up in the last strong part of the water stream and get ripped backwards.
[Fuuccc-*!]
Is my last thought before I face plant into the cold wet rock beneath me.
„Arrrghh!" *cough* *cough*
[F*ccckk! Sh*t! That did not go as planned!]
*holding my snout with my front paws*
As the pain slowly get covered by the Adrenalin.
I turn and see that the Floatzel somehow got off course and crash-landed aswell.
[Maybe my feet got it to fly upwards and when it canceled the attack it just fell towards the ground?]
The Floatzel stands up again and looks over it's shoulder in search of me, still standing on all fours. I get up as well.
[Damm it! If I don't make my move now it was all for nought!]
I quickly charge up the electric energy in my body and jump out of the puddle the Aqua Jet Attack left on the ground.
I hold my mouth into the water as good as I can.
The Lightning rushes throughout the whole puddle of water electro-shocking everything in it, ... the Floatzels for example.
[I don't think it will knock the Floatzel out, but I sure hope it does something at the very least!]
I look at the strong water Pokémon. The picture becomes clear. It didn't knock out the Floatzel but the fight that lasted about a minute by now has taken a toll on both of us.
About 5 seconds go by and while the water grounded itself by now and I can step back into the water, the Floatzel still seems to get shocked every 2 seconds.
[Wait! Did that paralyze it?! Even if it didn't hurt it if it's paralyzed that's a big hit! I need to use this chance now! It can't me much longer until the other Floatzels show up, no way they didn't hear the fight!]
I start sprinting as fast as I still can towards the Floatzel. Now that the tide has changed the Floatzel looks at make with a mix of anger and panic.
I closed in fast and as I jump towards it I open my jaw and charge up all the electric energy that I can.
The Floatzel seems to know what I have planned and tries to jump.
*ztttzztttz*
The Floatzel gets shocked right in it's jumping motion. Its legs seem to stiffen up while the muscles in it's leg stretch out the legs as far as they can locking the legs inside that motion for a second.
Rather then away the Pokémon jumps upwards because of that shock.
Just before hitting the ground again I arrive and tackle the taller and heavier Pokémon into the air again burrowing my electrified teeth into its neck from underneath into the unprotected part of the throat, where the floatation sac doesn't cover its neck.
„Flooaaaaa!!!"
The Floatzel cries out loud.
With one of the last savings of energy, I shake my head to deal some additional Damage.
„FllloooOooOooOoo!!!"
The Floatzel cries out once more before going quiet after a few seconds.
[Ooofff. That was freaking scary. I -]
Before I can finish that thought the remaining 2 Floatzels peek around the rock closest to us.
[Oh hell no! I got to get away from this place, there is no way in hell I can beat both of them at the same time!]
I begin running as fast as I can, I don't care in which direction I run, it's just important for me that I get away from here as fast as I can. I sprint off the edge of the plateau comes closer but because it's only about a meter high I just jump down. I hit the sand hard, and continue running. I can hear the two Floatzels firing off two water guns the sound is still pretty close I bet they used Quick Attack to catch me or something like that.
I don't even try to turn my head the chance that I see something useful in this darkness are very slim.
The Water Gun Attacks hits the sand about 2 meters behind me and 1 meter to my right side.
I'm not sure about the one that hit the ground behind me the sand pretty much silenced the impact to the ground, but the second Attack tells me that I'm still in range.
I run towards the forest that is not that far away anymore and try to seek shelter and safety between some bushes and trees.
The Fight against the Floatzel hurt but it's nothing to worry about, maybe it's the adrenalin but it doesn't hurt anymore.
I reach the forest and hop into one of the closest bushes. I turn around to look for the Floatzel.
The only thing I can hear are the Noctowls and Hoothoots, the waves of the lake and the rustling of the leaves and branches. And see,... well I can't see much the bit of forest surrounding me and a tiny piece of beach. I guess the Floatzels didn't pursue me for a long time. Maybe they wanted to check if there are other survivors. They probably didn't check on everybody beforehand.
[I should probably run away further though. When it's bright again they will probably continue their search and with the visibility in daylight chances for me to be found are high.]
I start walking again. Not inside the forest though. I still don't feel safe with a vision range this short and branches and trees surrounding me to all sides.
I do what I did before and walk alongside the forest with a safe distance, but this time to my right and the beach to my left.
[I probably can't find anything interesting this night but let's see if I can find something interesting tomorrow.]
So I start walking, leaving the side of the beach that I already know behind me.

"Hello, am I speaking to the Pokémon Wildlife Organisation?" - Caller (???)
"Yes, you are speaking to the PWO what's the Problem, Sir?" - PWO-Emergency-Hotline-Worker
"I'm a Pokémon Ranger in the Area of the Devenor Forest and I just checked the area near the beach of Lake Amuzo. Here are a unusual amount of dead Insect-Type Pokémon. Weedles and Caterpies both of them are affected in a similar amount. I tried getting them to the Pokécenter but they are just to large in Number to carry them by myself." - Pokémon Ranger
"Alright, how may dead Insect Type Pokémon are we talking about, twenty?"
- PWO-Emergency-Hotline-Worker
"No Miss, I found about forty." - Pkm-Ranger
"Forty?! Why are is the number that high?" - EH-Worker
"I don't know yet. What is bothering me the is that most of them weren't even eaten. Looks like they were hunted for fun. There aren't many Pokémon out there that do this. That's why it is bothering me so much that I call you guys and not my colleagues." - Pkm-Ranger
"Alright. I understand. I will send over a Team immediately can you send us your coordinates? Or do you have a Place where you want to meet with us?" - E-H-Worker
"I get as many to the Pokémon Center as fast as I can I will meet you at the Poké-Center next to the Malstrecita-Resort in about two Hours if that is possible for you?" - Pokémon Ranger
"Yes. We can be there by then. Thanks for calling and Good Luck out there." - E-H-Worker
"Yeah, thanks! I hope we are fast enough to save at least half of them. Bye" - Pokémon Ranger
"Yes, I do hope so aswell. bye" - E-H-Worker
