Over the next week the academy held the rest of the tests for the upcoming students with the number of participants increasing with each set. Sagar found out later that the stronger upcoming students actually test on the first day and other's that couldn't make it in then try their best to do it as soon as possible. This is why the number of testers increases as time passes as they'll have a better chance in reaching the higher ranks without having overwhelming odds stacked against them.
This is why such a monster like Klaus appeared on the very first day of the tests with some of the other Expert level testers being considered strong in their own right including Talia in that list. Of course there were some that were at the Intermediate level like Sagar, but at least from Sagar's perspective this was merely coincidental and not planned at all. The other Intermediate's also weren't as strong as Sagar who was able to go blow for blow with Klaus of all people but they were considered powerful for people of their level.
Sagar would pop into battle test to watch some matches to pass some time with Talia and Umbra joining him sometimes. Besides this Sagar went around the academy to look at the various places and services that they provide here. The academy had it's own training grounds similar to the one found at the Drak residence but they also provided some private training rooms for students to use. The rooms usually required some sort of reservation that must be made beforehand to get access to them and to use the better training rooms you have to meet some requirements.
You could even request to receive private lessons from the teachers at the academy the only downside being the requirements. Not only did you have to get a letter having some seal on it from the teacher showing that the student was allowed to receive the private lesson, whether or not the lesson actually happened was completely dependent on the teacher themselves.
Sagar didn't mind this as while there were some things he didn't know there were some things he had to keep secret that would be revealed during a private lesson. Instead Sagar would just visit the academy's library to find out about different things.
Usually it would be dangerous to experiment with anything you read from a book unless it has clear instructions, for example all the spells he learned from the Drak family had a book explicitly telling him how to use a specific spell. An example of experimenting with something just based on what you read or trying to make your own spell would be Sagar's version of 'Explosive Cone' which if he was an ordinary mage would have damaged his body almost beyond repair from multiple uses.
In the case Sagar wasn't completely sure on whether or not a certain new spell would work or not he would consult the system to see what it would think. The system itself has never been wrong for the many years now that Sagar has been utilizing it so he trusts what it's opinion, so he planned on doing this to try and learn different elements that he couldn't learn from the system. Once he finds a new element that he was interested in learning and depending on how much detail was within the material on the element, Sagar would try to learn to use it.
He would at least get it to the point where he could manipulate as he wishes, the same as all the other elements he has learned so far with the exception of a few. He didn't completely immerse himself within the library as after all the tests were finished all of the students who were away training returned along with all the life in the academy. Sagar wouldn't say it was totally lifeless without them as with the days passing more students not only were accepted into the academy but also moved in as well.
The day before the other students returned there were a number of new students out and about doing a variety of things, with Sagar encounter somebody almost everywhere he went. With the other students coming back it was a completely different place, the academy itself seemed to turn into a condensed city with the amount of people coming roaming around.
As for how the students came back Sagar wasn't entirely sure as at least from his perspective they appeared out of nowhere. He asked Umbra about this as she was probably the most knowledgeable person of the academy's matters that Sagar knew. She promptly told him about this sort of of teleportation center that was located on the academy that was used when traveling massive distances especially in large groups. Sagar wondered how he had never come across it the entire week that he had been here but was told that it's actually in the interiors of the academy that require special identifications to enter. You could use it if you knew someone with these identifications or you could earn them yourself by gaining some sort of merit for the academy.
With the arrival of the other students came the time for the new students to form their schedule they would be using for the next year. This would be accomplished similar to the way that they took the knowledge test as inside all the rooms in the dorms there is a desk that would spit out a form for the students to fill out. Sagar still had not idea how these things worked but filled out the form regardless picking out some classes which included some basic learning classes along with some that he was actually interested in.
This included a class called 'Weapon Mastery I' which would go over how to begin mastering the use of different weapons. Sagar took this mainly because when it comes to his saber he was mainly self-taught and really only used it as a sort of medium for different attacks. He did have some basic uses with it, as he has been using it for a couple years now but he felt he should learn more technical things about the weapon.
Another interesting class he was taking was 'Unique and Specialized Magic' which was pretty self-explanatory. Sagar wasn't sure if he could learn any sort of unique magic as it was different from specialized magic but he was willing to at least attempt a see if he could. Either way he wasn't losing out by taking this class as he would learn about these unique magics and be able to deal with them if he ever encountered them.
After filling out this form he left it on the desk where it was absorbed back into it a couple minutes later. At the end of the day he received a form back showing what classes he had along where they would be taking place. The beginning of his academy life began another week from now and Sagar was certainly looking forward to it.
