Klaus was covering his zweihander in as much internal energy as he could currently output at the moment. He didn't really have much techniques he used as he felt they were pointless as his normal strength was enough to use and any other techniques he did have were merely support to his overall performance.
As for Sagar he was also gathering explosive element around his saver but instead of spreading it across the blade as he's been doing this time he was focusing it around the tip of the saber. Sagar was going to use the 'Explosive Cone' spell similar to the way he used it in his previous match but instead of using it in his hands he would use it on his saber.
Sagar actually didn't use this spell during this entire match mainly because he couldn't exactly control the output of the spell too well currently and he was afraid he might fatally injure Klaus in the process. He used it in his last match not only as a test but also because the thing he was firing the spell at wasn't exactly living.
Both Klaus and Sagar were staring at each other seeing who would make the first move but it seemed like neither of them would bother waiting for that as they started charging at each other at the same time. Even though they were traveling at about the same speed and maybe because of the tension between the two of them, time seemed to slow for the two individuals.
Before when they clashed in similar ways it was almost instantaneous from the moment they moved to the moment that their attacks connected. Now it felt like minutes had passed before they had finally threw out their final moves with Klaus slashing his zweihander and Sagar thrusting his saber.
When the two attacks met there was a flash of white with an explosion following suit causing the platform they were standing on to crumble a bit. The barrier that was surrounding them seemed to bend from the shock wave that the two attacks produced but it stayed in tact nonetheless.
The battle between the two lasted for quite some time that all the other matches had already finished and everyone was watching this fight that was seemingly insane to them. Talia also watched the fight the entire time and didn't really expect this outcome as while she thought Sagar would be able to put up a fight he would eventually be soundly beaten. This wasn't because she underestimated him or anything, from the time she's known him she got the feeling that he was stronger than her but she wasn't sure by how much.
A fight between Klaus and her would end in Klaus' victory she was sure of this, Klaus was just too much of a monster in terms of talent and power. Say she would use her 'Explosive Barrier' on him, while that may be able to wound Klaus and protect her form his attacks Klaus wasn't so simple. His endurance was inhuman for his level of power it takes a lot of damage just to put him down. Never would she have expected that Sagar also had this sort of ridiculous endurance that Klaus had that enabled him to have this drawn out fight with him.
It made Talia wonder what sort of training that Aunt Beatrice put him through for him to reach this sort of power. Of course if she knew that Sagar was for the most part self-trained who knows what she would think.
When everything around the platform cleared up there were still two figures standing there. The area where their attacks had met was completely destroyed leaving only the ground underneath the two remaining.
Klaus was still in the pose whenever he swung his zweihander down on his opponent, with the zweihander in question hitting the ground. The result of it was the large cut on the left side of Sagar's body that was bleeding profusely on the other hand Klaus wasn't doing so well either. Sagar's saber was sticking into one of his shoulders where there was a large gap present resulting from his attack.
Both of them remained still until Sagar along with his saber fell to the ground meanwhile Klaus was barely standing as his zweihander that was on the ground was actually propping up his weak body. Klaus looked at Sagar and gave out a large smile telling the unconscious person, "Sorry, but this is your win this time."
As he was saying this the wounds covering his body started steaming while also being healed at the same time, even the gaping wound on Klaus' shoulder was healed fully. This was actually the special property of the internal energy that those of the Ortnit family had. They were known as the Immortal Warriors as those who are born with this special property can easily heal most types of wounds and they also have access to something similar to a phoenix's rebirth in that when they suffer life threatening damage every wound on their body would be healed at pretty much no cost.
The only drawback to this ability was that it could only be used once a month at least by those who either don't know how to use it or are weak. In their family records of the Ornit's there is a record of one of their ancestors reducing this demerit to a week. As for Klaus he's hardly used this ability before and wasn't really of the strength to reduce the cool down so in another month he would be able to use this ability again.
People that knew about this aspect felt that this is what made Klaus especially monstrous as not only is his endurance ridiculous but he could even fully recover if he's damaged enough.
As Klaus was about to walk away from the platform to as it was announced that he was the winner of the match he noticed some sort of green light flow out of Sagar. Seeing this Klaus started to laugh loudly and proclaim, "It seems I wasn't the only one holding back some of techniques. I look forward to another match with you Sagar."
Like that he walked off the platform while some staff went to Sagar to see to his wounds. There was actually a healing mage among them so they got started right away and soon Sagar was conscious, no longer being in any sort of danger.
With this match over this was officially the end of the tests for entering the academy.
