Chapter 13 - Elemental Fusion

It took Sagar six months to not only learn the basic spells of Almighty but it also included the time he took to figure out how to manipulate the element. He needed to do so for the next major step in his path to power.

This is mainly dealing with his internal energy and having it integrate with the Almighty element. You see for internal energy they have a change to develop a special property that helps bolster it's usage and power. The thing is you would either have to go through some miraculous event or be born with it to even have a special property.

Families that are talented in this aspect usually try to have those related to them have children with those who have this special property, this is especially so if the said person from the family has a special property of their own. In turn there would be a higher chance for the child to inherit one from one of the parents. It's quite a problem that leads to fights between other families when for example they find someone not belonging to any force or having any sort of backer.

Usually it would be difficult for warriors without a property to defeat a warrior who has one unless they were a lower level then themselves but there was something else you could do to boost your internal energy. It's a difficult and long process but the gains from it is worth it because of the gains you receive from it. The process involves gathering an element of some kind and then infusing it into your own internal energy essentially making the two one.

Most of the difficulty comes from the fact that warriors don't know how to move any of the particular elements as it wasn't something necessary to them like it is to a mage as it is a something a mage learns to do when they start to manipulate mana. It takes them some time to even move the elements in the air and then the actual process takes up more time as well. From what Sagar has read a warrior would be lucky if he managed to finish the process in four years but it could even stretch to ten years.

Mages also had an equivalence to this process which is just using their mana to enhance their bodies but the empowerment isn't to the level of a warrior's internal energy. Of course if a mage practices his manipulation of said empowerment it's not completely impossible for them to match up to internal energy but the mastery of it is said to be just as long or even longer than the warrior's elemental fusion process.

Sagar himself wasn't worried about such things since in his case he was already used to manipulating different elements. The entire process would just be him fusing the element into his internal energy. As for the mana enhancement, he wasn't too worried about learning it right now because not only was his body naturally stronger but he also had his buffing spells to help further boost his physical abilities.

He had spent this time learning how to use Almighty without using the spells for the sole purpose of starting the fusion. Sagar was sure that nothing like the Almighty element existed in this world, he was even sure that some of the other elements he could use didn't exist here. Usually when the entire fusion process was complete the warrior's energy would be bolstered, it would take up the properties associated with the element he fused with, and his attacks would naturally carry the element within them.

For Almighty Sagar the only thing he was unsure of was what property it would produce after all Almighty isn't exactly the most simple thing to pin down. He decided to figure them out once he was actually done.

He started forming the Almighty element within himself and then started to try to mix it with his internal energy flowing through him. The two were able to meet and interact but absolutely refused to try to mix. Sagar continued his day trying to make some progress but failed to do so.

He sighed but didn't become discouraged from it if anything he thought it was quite normal. Not only was he engaging in a elemental fusion but he was also doing it with an element that wasn't known of and was probably one of the most domineering things in existence. He would have an easier time trying to fuse with a basic element such as fire, other non-conventional elements may give him more trouble but would be overall easier than using the Almighty element. It didn't really matter to Sagar because he was steadfast about accomplishing this he just had to put all his effort into it even if it causes his power to stagnant a bit. He wasn't worried about such a thing as he was sure that nobody his age would be close to his level of power at the very least those on the Griffin Continent.

From then on Sagar would spend most of his time on his time on the elemental fusion. He still went to the forest every now and then but he cut a lot of his time to make room for the fusion. Two years past and Sagar was sitting outside on the cusp of finishing the final parts of the fusion.

His internal energy now was of deep silver color with the golden streaks still flowing through it. Not only did the color change the entire weight and feel to his energy changed. As Sagar got further with the fusion the more difficult his energy became to control. He even had to occupy some of his time to get a handle of it as he felt if he didn't do something about it before he finished the fusion it could lead to some major problems.

Now he had full control of it but he had to focus quite a bit to be able pull in it's reins. While he was doing that he was simultaneously fusing the Almighty element with his internal energy. Once he doesn't have to worry about any future energy becoming his normal internal energy when he get stronger and there was also the main benefits from the fusion.

When he finally fused the last remnants of his energy his body immediately began permeating with power and it also felt like the weight of his energy increased immensely from how it was before. Sagar was beginning to feel his body become crushed from it and he began to focus on himself slowly circulating his now richly enhanced internal energy. He then started to feel his body strengthen at slow pace but it was still happening. As time went on the pain increased but a benefit was that his body was getting more powerful as the pain increased.

Sagar wasn't sure how much time had passed before he felt his body settle and the energy within himself started to flow naturally without him needing to control it. He still felt some weight from it but it was overall negligible. He guess his body wasn't strong enough to control and withstand the energy in it's entirety but Sagar decided to use it to help strengthen his body along with receiving help from the golden streaks contained in his internal energy.

When he opened his eyes he noticed that the moon was already high in the sky. Looking at his body he noticed that it was covered in dry blood but not only that his mother was sitting not far from his with an extremely worried look on her face.

Seeing her son open his eyes Beatrice went up to him giving him a hug completely disregarding the dried blood covering him. Beatrice was currently saying some things to Sagar but he didn't hear any of it as the exhaustion from his endeavor finally hit and he started to lose his consciousness. Before he could fully pass out he heard the system tell him something but even that was cut off as he blacked out.
