They had to leave early after staying and traveling for days.
It's time to face reality. Gold needs to go straight to her office. Glair and her mom's flight is in the afternoon. So, They plan on seeing them back home.
From the airport, Kilk drove Gold to her office.
Kilk opened the door for her and gave her a friendly hug. "I will take your things and take you home tonight." she smiled "Thank you Kilk. Be safe." she headed to the stairs and waved to Kilk.
Gold was startled when someone grabbed her arm very tight. Her eyes widened when she saw it was Cale. He looks a bit mad. "Um, Cale you're.." Cale cut her mid-sentence. "Who is that guy?!" Gold couldn't answer him. She was shocked. He let her go and burst into the office. (What the heck is this guy's problem?)
Gold came to her senses. She remembered she had tons of work to finish. So she let it go and walked through the hallway heading to her office room.
Gold notices how her co-workers are giving her a teasing stare. She found it strange but she kept walking. Jake suddenly walks toward her. "Hi, Jake. Good morning." she greeted "Hi, Gold You. You didn't tell me you are... Ugh never mind. I'm happy for you." she stared at him with a confused look. She is pretty stressed with almost everything to ask Jake what he's trying to say but she was left puzzled. (Was it about Kilk? Maybe they thought I was finally dating. For goodness sake. Ughh) She took everything off her mind and just started working.
3 hours of working...
She was interrupted by a knock. Jake burst into her office. (Goodness!) she thought. "Did you and the newly hired had a fight? He is suddenly not in the mood to do his job properly today." she's lost (What does this have to do with me?) "You two should figure things out together. It's affecting his job. Go and talk to him." (What?) Jake left the room. She is really annoyed. She went to the IT room department to check on Cale.
Everyone's staring really weird at her." Where is Cale? I need to talk to him." They gave her a teasing look before answering. "He's doing something on the 3rd floor. Just wait here he will be back soon." she nodded and sat on Cale's chair. She was shocked to see their photo as his Laptop wallpaper. (WTF!) she thought. She panicked and closed the laptop. (Why the fuck is Cale's Wallpaper our photo!?) she's already screaming inside. (Now I know why the whole office staff is looking at me like that and Jake... I must be dreaming!)
Cale enters the room with a blank expression. He notices Gold sitting on his chair. "I need to speak with you." Cale didn't even answer. He took his laptop and grabbed her out to the hallway. "What's going on with your work? Jake told me you're having a hard time. I hired you. So, I needed you to work properly." He stares at her with a blank face. "Is that all? Tell me who's the guy you are with this morning? Are you dating him?" She rolled her eyes "No. I'm not. He's a friend. " (Wait. What the F does he care?!) Kilk's face softened. "Go back to your office." (What the hell! Why the fuck is he ordering me around like a boss!)
Gold went to her office completely mad. Her phone started ringing. A lifesaver. Kilk is calling. "Hey, Kilk thanks for calling. I'm really pissed right now" he laughed at the other line. "I think I know who pissed you off. So, calm down. I wanted to check up on you but I need to drop the call soon. Just breathe in breathe out, okay? I got to go. Pick you up after your work"
"Okay, thanks for calling Kilk. " Knock knock. (Ugh! Who is this again?!) She opened the door and Cale was standing there. "Why are you still talking to that guy? Who is that Kilk?" (Is he harassing me in my own office and spying on me. I don't get this guy at all!) "I told you. He is a friend of mine." (Stupid me! Answering like we're still together!) Gold couldn't think straight. She pushed him out and shut the door. (I don't get him! damn it! Why is he doing this to me?!)
(Time flies so fast, Gladly, I finished my work on time. I Gotta go now and wait for Kilk) Gold grabbed her bag and leave.
She found Cale staring at Kilk outside their office building.
Minutes before Gold went out...
Cale walk out of the building and saw Kilk's car at the side. (What is that guy doing here again?!) He walks over to Kilk's car and stares at Kilk.
(Oh, that is Gold's precious Cale. Interesting) Kilk went out of his car to stare back at Cale. He sure did it on purpose.
"What are you doing here again?" Cale asks. Kilk suddenly saw Gold. He ignores Cale and walks to Gold. "We better leave. We're having dinner with Glair." Gold glance at Cale but Kilk immediately grab her hand and took her to his car.
Cale left right after he heard Glair's name. (That guy is surely into Glair.) Cale thought to himself.
