"Mr. Hirasato, I assure you, we would definitely capture Mrs. Laboum's eyes" I said for the nth time.
"I'm sorry for being such a worry wart Eiri, I'm just too nervous. You now my business isn't the only thing in this world, it also need some support and recognition from famous to normal people" Mr. Hirasato sighed once more as he leaned on his seat.
I was particularly nervous too, but being nervous and afraid would do nothing, instead it would make us panic more.
"Don't worry, I would definitely catch Mrs. Laboum's interest"
He smiled at me, his sad eyes from before ignited with fire as well as my passion to fight. With that in mind, I returned home with a positive vibe.
Opening the door, it seems like Nolan isn't home yet, so I decided to cook for him. My hands were already moving with such familiarity into the kitchen as I stirred the soup and look out for the rice that I'm cooking. With my back turned towards the door, I didn't see the man I've been cooking dinner for and almost jump from shock.
"Nolan! I-I didn't see you there!" My hand on my chest, I turned around to look at him.
"Yeah, I figured you'd be cooking by now, sorry for startling you" His voice sound tired, then he rubbed his eyes and I held his cold hands and tip toed on his face.
"Is it gone now?" Blowing on his eyes, I ask Nolan who was crouching now.
"Mmm....thanks"
"Good" Then I took off my hands on his shoulder and continued to stir the soup.
I almost freeze in shock when I felt his arms wrapping on my waist, his hands were cold towards my heated body. Still stirring the pot, I tried to ignore his gentle caresses, but it was no avail when I felt his warm breath on my nape.
"Eep! Nolan! What are you-Mmph!!"
My shout was blocked by his kiss, it goes on for like a whole thirty minute and when I felt like I couldn't breathe, I was suddenly released.
"Nolan, how could you!-The rice! Oh no!" I rushed towards the rice that I am cooking and almost burst into tears. Looking at him with grievance in my eyes, I shouted.
"It's all your fault!"
His laughter filled the kitchen and I smiled with fondness, forgetting that I'm still angry at him.
Let it be, let it all be for now.
Because tomorrow is uncertain, and all I could do was to cherish the moments I have with him.
......
"Is everything all set now? Models? Jewelries and dresses? Is everything listed were complete?" I shouted towards the flurry of people.
As I was about to get out for a breathe, Ariela, one of the coordinators of the company walked up to me. She was trembling, tears formed in her eyes and I couldn't help but to ask.
"Is there something wrong?"
"Uhmm...uh-I....the mo-model...she.....she can't come..." With great difficulty, she answered me.
"What?! Why didn't you say so earlier?! How-What could we do?"
I was panicking, afraid about everything that is going downhill because of one careless mistake. What could I do? The event is starting now and the model that is missing is the one who will wear the final product.
I promised Mr. Hirasato, and I don't want to fail in this.
So who would be the substitute?
