All I could see was his blazing eyes full of anger swirling behind his dark irises. The moment he catch my gaze, my knees tremble in fright so I stayed crouched on the ground.
I knew it was the right decision.
"Uh--No....nolan....uhm...you're here...." I trailed off nervously as I fidget on the seam of my dress.
"Yes, I am"
The low timbre of his voice created a shiver on my spine as I continued to avoid his eyes. I didn't want to know how angry he would be when he learned that I was away from our house.
Our house.
Was it really our house? Am I the only one who acknowledge it as it is?
"Eiri" The slight edge on his voice made me aware of his distance or should I say the lack of it.
"Y--Yes?" I said while biting my bottom lips afterwards.
He continued to glaze on my eyes, I tried to lower my head down but he caught it in between his hands and force me to look up while holding my chin a little bit tightly.
"Do not ever leave the house. Again. Do you understand?"
The house, not our house.
The sudden realization stung a bit, the pain creeps immediately on my heart and I was soon turned breathless by the pain and also the way his eyes graze ever so slightly on my quivering lips.
I was suddenly left wishing.
Wishing for the impossible yet all I could do was to silently plea on him to loosen his tight grip on my chin. I was too afraid on the raging emotion on his gaze making me shut my eyes tight.
Then the warmth on his hand left my face. As I slowly opened my eyes, the trembling of my eyelashes go unnoticed, I saw his back once again leaving me.
He left me alone, again.
Minutes have passed and I was all alone once again. Only the wind howling towards the dark silent night accompanied me. The city lights seemed dull and the vast dark sky has no star.
Seems like the heavens must have turned a blind eye on me for the downpour rain poured towards the world.
The tears on my eyes can easily go unnoticed now, and I have the perfect reason to cry where no one can judge on me.
