It was already a week after the "Deed" we have done and now, Nolan's treatment towards me turn even more colder to the point I could shiver all the way from my toes up to my head from his stare.
"Your exhibition would open today!"
I was suddenly back at the situation where Rika, my manager, or should I say one of the people whom I am close too said.
That's right, I am a painter.
Years have passed since I pick up the talent of painting from my mother. She was also like me, but we have different styles and colors. While my mother prefer soft and gentle strokes, I go towards the hard and strong strokes with dark colors unlike her.
In other words, my mother paints the sun while I paint the moon.
"Aren't you happy? It's your most awaited moment!" She said without any hint of embarrassment.
"I am....I'm just sad that...." I trailed off while gazing at the windows of our house. "He is not here to see this wish of mine finally happening"
She must have seen the light in my eyes dimmed, her hands held mine tightly and said.
"Not every couples end well, and.....I think it is the same with yours"
Pure silence emerged in front of us as I bow my head down. I don't know if it's in shame or anger but all I could do was to hide my head away from her inquiring gaze.
"Fine! Let's not talk about this! It really dampens the mood today especially for your first exhibition!" She claps her hand and stand up. "We'll celebrate after we go to the exhibition today!"
I could only follow along with her wishes.
...
People swarm around the place as I continue to hold Rika's hand. We were turning into corners and even bumping into several people, my feet has already started to swell in pain but I continued to walk.
Finally, I could see the place and the one thing that surprises me is that Alisha and Jirou was there. I was about to walk towards them when a sudden pierce of shout rang through the crowd.
My eyes went into the face of a man I unfortunately knew and tried to hide behind the masses. Luckily, many people or should I say, females, swarm into him like bees circling around a fragrant flower.
"Whoo! Seems like he is finally working again!" Rika said which made me furrow my brows.
"If you don't mind me asking, who is that man?" I said while pointing my index finger towards the man who is smiling gently into the intoxicated masses of people.
"You don't know him?! Have you been living in a rock?!" Alisha's voice rang into the silent hall as we walked towards the exhibition.
"Should I know him?" I opened the door and was met with the familiar colors and smell of the paintings hanging neatly into the wall.
"Of course you should! He is an extraordinary man! My idol! He owns half of the Century Light Entertainment and is the king of action movies here!" She said animatedly ignoring the un amused glance of the old gray woman.
"Please my dear sister, could you please lower your voice down? Your ruining the peace in here" Jirou suddenly butt in which made the face of Alisha blacken.
"No way could I shut up! You know he's my favorite idol since I was in my high school days and he-- Hey! Put me down!" Alisha said while repeatedly thumping Jirou's back.
"I'll just let her calm her self down hmm?" He grinned at me and continued to walk as if his sister was just a sack of potatoes hanging on his back.
I threw an amused gaze at them, my mind whirled back to what Alisha said. If what she said was real, what is the real intention of him suddenly noticing the plain old me?
"Hey Rika, do you know that guy--Rika?" She was looking listlessly at my back with a weird emotion on her eyes.
I was about to shake her body when a sudden magnetic voice made me turn my head.
"Li jun, that's my name"
