Years had come and gone with the sister duo coming to check the Archives for a change only to find that the Miasma remained, by this point six long years had gone by and the situation of the Maneru clan had become worse with the passing of the old Lord.
"Sister they are coming today, are you going to accept" asked the younger of the two.
"If it is what I must do then so be it, as long as you are kept safe Kari" stated the older of the two.
During these years after the collaboration of the other clans to wipe the Maneru clan out they had steadily pillaged and robbed the lands of the Maneru leaving them teetering on the brink of destruction. However the Clan's were also aware that the Maneru had a long history and had copied the techniques of many, the one who swiped the prize so to speak would be the one who had rightful claim to it and thus marriage requests had come in and before his death the old Lord had entertained only one without explicitly agreeing.
Today this person would be showing up to propose and it would seem that the older of the two sisters had resigned herself to selling herself in order to save her sister despite the her temper.
A knock from the gates alerted the sisters that their guests had arrived, announcing the permission the gates opened to reveal an average looking man in his late teens to early twenties riding a palanquin with a bright symbol for the sun upon it as a crest.
"Ah, at last we see each other again Yuki. Beautiful as ever and I see young Kari has grown splendidly as well" called the man with a lecherous look.
"Hello young master Taiyo, I pray that your journey was pleasant" asked Yuki hiding her disgust.
"It was excellent as I knew there would be a treasure waiting for me at the end" smiled the young Master.
Yuki smiled pleasantly.
"However" started the Young master causing Yuki's smile to falter.
"How could I have known I would arrive only to find the Maneru had two treasure's waiting to be taken" smiled the Young master as he looked towards Kari as well.
"Kari is not the one to be engaged" stated Yuki as a scowl covered her face.
"Oh? Then who is to stop me from taking such actions, your Old Lord has passed and now you both sit here defenseless. If not me then who else would pluck such beautiful flowers" smirked the Young master as he motioned for the men at his side to go and collect the women.
"You can't do this" snarled Yuki as she pushed Kari behind her.
"Yuki stop prolonging the inevitable, with no Lord to defend you there is no one to stop me" laughed the Young master until he heard his guards crashing to the ground.
"Who says there is no Lord here" stated a youth around the age of fifteen with long wild hair and a Gunbai in his hand, it was odd though as it seemed the pole was as long as an arm and the Fan carried a sharpened blade for an edge.
"W-Who are you" demanded the Young Master shocked that the trained Guards of his clan had been defeated so easily.
"As of now, I am the Lord of the Maneru. If you wish to marry either of the women of my house you will have to present a gift and have the strength to prove yourself capable" stated the youth planting his Gunbai in the ground.
Off to the side the Miasma that had plagued the Archives for so long had stopped and the room was emptied of the noxious mists revealing the person standing in the defense of Yuki and her sister to be the boy from the years prior.
"D-Don't be ridiculous, you can't just proclaim yourself a Lord" shouted the Young Master flabbergasted.
"How do you think Clans started, pompous and arrogant. You are not someone the Maneru will accept into it's fold" harrumphed the youth as he raised his hand did an odd motion of turning upward with the palm facing the sky before pushing outward with a strong gust carrying a bit of his Ability with it forcing the Young Master and his entourage out through the gates though unknown to this poor Young Master would be falling ill in the coming days.
"Thank you for your help" said Yuki as she bowed with Kari following the action.
"The house is in a mess, you two women set things in order. I will do the rest" stated the youth causing the two girls to stare in shock as the self proclaimed Lord left.
They eventually recovered and began to worry again as they were in the same situation as before only now there was no suitor to back them.
It was around the time for the sun to set when the youth returned pulling a large cart with him, on it were many fine things and foods but also materials.
"Woman, why is the house still a mess" stated the youth looking at the clinging dust and smudge floors of the polished wood.
"What are you doing here" asked Yuki in shock as neither of them had expected this person to return let alone with so many things.
"I am the Lord of this estate, where else should I be if not here" remarked the youth casually as he pulled the cart before the two girls before tossing them two Yukata to replace their rather old looking ones.
"Get dressed and then prepare dinner" commanded the Youth as he pulled the cart beyond around the Clan house to the kitchen to unload the appropriate Items.
The two girls just stared unsure of what had happened, perhaps they were having a strange dream or maybe the world had gone crazy but for certain they had no idea how they had ended up in this position.
