Chapter 9 - Chapter 1 - Part 8 - The Arrival of The Overlord

It has been six hours since they traveled through the dark forest. The night has passed and now the bright glowing sun hung in the sky burning as strongly as ever.

They were now in a small clearing in the forest resting for a while. Vlad and Tiriel were leaning against a tree as they looked at the sky in silent. No one know what Tiriel has been thinking however, Vlad was in a good mood.

Vlad has been contemplating how to utilize his power since then, and it seems that his hard work has yielded some result. He has been playing with Mana and created the so called miracle and generated a small burning flames on his palm.

Although the first time he did that ended up almost burning his own head, nonetheless he was happy that he could at least control it to his own will.

It seems that having practicing that meditation back on earth had some use. Now he's confident and know how to limit the mana that was gushing out from inside him. He could no longer feel the overwhelming power that made him into some kind of chuunibyou.

Both happy and delighted, Vlad then stopped playing with his flame. He then looked at Tiriel with a smile on his face.

"Hmm, i find it strange that there's no monster or wild beast that came to bother us."

He started with a happy tone, his eyes were filled with light and joy as he started to talk to Tiriel again. After all, they have been quiet all this time since they last walked inside the forest.

"It's all thanks to master's display of power last night. They must've been frightened silly because of you."

Tiriel rolled her eyes to the side and then stood up to walk to Vlad's direction.

Even with her clothes looking like a rag, she still look elegant and charming. After a peaceful walk with no incidents happening, her hair is now back to normal.

Vlad was looking at the woman's beautiful figure in front of him with a complicated expression.

He was the one who made her, he was also the one who designed her character back when it was still a game. Vlad still remember making her like it was yesterday.

Her race was a bit complicated, back when he was still playing Tear of Hell, there's a total of seven races that the player could choose.

[Human] [Elf] [Demon] [Demi Human] [Dark Elf] [Undead] [Dwarf]. That was the seven races a player could choose when they start the game.

Vlad's race were none other than a Demon. The appearance of a Demon is no different than that of a human, with the only thing that different from them is their ears and eye colour. With a half pointed ears like that of a half elf from anime it would be easy to tell them apart. Not to mention their red eyes that has a slit for pupils make them even more easy to spot.

And there is a total of Sixteen races for players to create a servants. Vlad had many choice to choose from all of those sixteen races, but Tiriel's race was different from all of that sixteen races. Her race was something he had won from an event in the game.

Back then, he was nothing but an ordinary player that spend his money like there's no tomorrow to catch up with the other pro players. And luckily for him, when there's an event called [Eternal Star] he was the one who won the first prize.

That was also the start of his legend. The very beginning of his glory. The first place prize is a privilege to make a custom made servant by the developer team.

Which are obviously very overpowered. Her race were a mix of Celestial race and Vampire race. Out of the sixteen races for servant, Celestial were not included as it was something that was made for the winner.

Although there are others who won another overpowered servant later on. Vlad has long since made a name for himself because of this one servant.

It's true that Tiriel was made by the development team, but her appearance and body figure were not set by them.

So for her to have a long lives is a matter of course. Vlad even suspected that she was an immortal now that he think about it again.

"Master?"

A shooting voice entered Vlad's ears as he was awakened from his reminiscent.

"Oh, sorry i spaced out just now. I was thinking about the past for a bit."

Vlad said mysteriously, he then smiles at Tiriel with a hint of amusement.

"Tiriel, now that i look at you, it seems that i made you suffer quite miserably last night."

A chuckle left his mouth as he stood up and made a circle around Tiriel. He was looking at her up and down, observing like some kind of pervert.

"Now you say that! Do you know how miserable i was all this time?! Do you know how much in pain i was all this time?! You disappeared suddenly without even telling us what to do! Do you know how much i want to kill myself all this time..."

Tiriel snapped at Vlad with a furious expression, but it soon faded and being replaced with a sad and grief filled one.

Seeing that, Vlad was quite surprised and also his heart was filled with a sense of guilt and helplessness.

'Why me? I didn't do anything that warrant such scolding. I don't even know what the hell happened, after all i was just testing my new equipment before coming here to this world.'

He complained but keep it hidden deep in side. He didn't dare to voice out his thoughts because he knows that it would only do him harm.

However, he was also not a pushover that anyone could scold and bully without a fight.

"To tell the truth..." He started, interrupting her scolding as she was about to open her mouth again, "I have made some guess and conjecture as to what is going on."

"Tiriel, do you remember what happened when i was disappeared? Ah... What i mean is, is there anything strange when i suddenly disappeared?" Vlad asked slowly with a frown on his face.

Hearing that, Tiriel then took several deep breaths trying to calm herself. She then closed her eyes as if trying to remember something.

"... I remember that it was after you defeated those gods that invaded the castle of Genesis." She said seriously and then continued, "But after they turned into divine particles and disappeared, you also disappeared. There is no other anomaly..."

After saying all that Tiriel's forehead then creased into a frown once again. It was as if she remembered something shocking and fear soon filled her face.

"I... I remember something. Master, at that time i saw the space around us trembled and made a few black glitches before disappeared, it came so quickly that i thought it was my imagination. A few days after you disappeared, all the gods soon followed and stopped coming to this world. I-is it because of that you disappeared?"

Vlad's expression were now filled with dark lines as he bowed his head lost in thought.

'How the hell should i know?! I already logged out at that time and what's more... God? what the hell is she saying? Has she gone mental already?!'

He keep lowering his head as he noted a few strange words from what Tiriel said just now. He was spinning his head trying to piece the puzzle and making sure that he didn't make any mistake.

The words that Tiriel said keep appearing again and again in his head like some kind of movie that being rewinded.

Finally, after a a few minutes of standing still and making reasoning. He was sure that his previous conjecture were wrong! He thought that he was just being summoned into the future by Tiriel... But it seems that it was all fart and more complicated than he thought.

"Damn... It seems that all of my luck has been used up for that lucky kill..."

Vlad muttered n a low voice. He was smiling as if mocking himself. He was regretting it for drinking that juice so fast after he turned his PC off.

If only he stayed for while more, he probably wont be here and would know what happened to the game.

"And God... huh? What a domineering title you give us."

Tiriel tilted her head when she heard him say that. She was so confused and lost right now, her expression were that of a lost puppy on the road. Cute and adorable, However Vlad's expression were that of a dead fish.
