Chapter 35 - sawed arrows (1)

The first rays of the sun appeared on the horizon illuminating a huge camp which was watched over by bandits who exploited the elves they had kidnapped the previous day.

"Move damn elves, heavens, I hate elves." A bandit in leather armor said whipping his back to a group of elves who were being locked in a cage.

"Damn it, why you all leave me in charge of this task!?" The bandit said taking out his knife and putting it on an elf's neck.

"It's not easier, hurt them and send them to the kingdom?, maybe they'll be more obedient!" The bandit said pressing the knife to the elf's neck making him bleed, but the elf refused to change the expression of hatred that had on his face despite the pain.

"Stop your irrational behavior, you idiot, you ruin the merchandise, if it's ruined, I'll ruin your face." A bandit in a metal armor and a halberd ordered the other bandit who was planning to kill an elf just for fun.

"Hooo...we have a rebel apparently." The bandit continued pressing his knife on the elf's neck being very close to cutting his throat, but this was immediately attacked, losing his head in the process, the bandit in metal armor made a quick thrust with his halberd hitting the face of the bandit, destroying his head.

"To all present here, I remind you, that these elves are the ones who feed us, if they die or are damaged, we too, the kingdom of Arzhum wants impeccable slaves." The bandit in the metal armor said stooping and helping the elf stand up by checking the wound in his neck and curing it with magic.

"I'll tell you one more time, a healthy elf, it's an elf that's worth a lot, do not make me repeat it, or you'll end up like him." The bandit said putting his hand on the back of the elf pushing him towards a cage, enclosing it, along with others.

The other bandits observed the body on the ground and some approached to remove the pieces of equipment, weapons and other objects that it had on, and then throw the body into the fire, using it as a source of food for their wolves, which were inside a metal cage next to the elves' cage.

"Chief, how much time is left for the kingdom to come and take the load and get paid?" The same bandit of the halberd exclaimed towards another bandit who had a metal armor, decorated with several different pieces in it, including some skulls, lower jaws, teeth and claws, no doubt that was the bandit leader.

"Two days, Tixan, in two days the kingdom will send a merchant and take the load and pay us, we will have much gold to spend." The leading bandit responded to his partner.

"These idiots, they are beginning to present erratic behaviors I hope that something strange does not happen and everyone gets worse, they really need to be with women." Tixan said, mentioning that the previous altercation had been caused by a problem in the place, but it was probably due to the loneliness of the bandits, since they were forbidden to "prove" the merchandise.

"I do not know why you worry, if more of them die, the more gold you and I will receive and the ones that survive." The bandit leader said, sounding very cold and calculating, but Tixan felt it was wrong for the youngest bandits to die and the elders to remain alive, who preferred to follow their own rules instead of following the leader's.

"I agree with you on the gold part, but I'm afraid not on the part of letting them die, some of them took this because they required it, or they have sick relatives, or they really need money quickly." Tixan said trying to make sense of the bandit leader who gave a sigh and stood up.

"Okay, we'll see that the youngest or most recent ones leave here unharmed, maybe among them we'll find the next leader, I'm getting old, my friend." The bandit leader said bypassing Tixan, placing his hand on Tixan's shoulder, leaving the tent and watching the sun rise from the horizon.

"Get to work, we have a long day ahead, you all should go hunting if you all want to eat today, this I say is for everyone!" The bandit leader said loudly pointing to a group, which immediately came out with the intention of hunting some creature to eat.

The problem is that, that valley had no apparent fauna, this valley had someone who was willing to kill, not because of hunger, but because of duty.

[The mission: Freedom or Death has been started]

Objective: Rescue the kidnapped elven inhabitants and kill the bandits

difficulty: A

enemy level: 60-65

Reward: unknown

Sebastian had woken up very early and had cleaned his house and then entered the game with the intention of avoiding losing more time, but when he reappeared in the village he was immediately received by the remaining inhabitants of the elf settlement, who gave him some strange arrows, which seemed to be saw blades, but inverted.

"Those are the arrows selected by our people, saw arrows, very destructive against unprotected enemies, if you aim at the arms or legs and these are uncovered, they can cause horrible damage." A young elf said, lifting the quiver of skin, offering the arrows to Sebastian.

"Thank you very much, I will make sure to use them." Sebastian responded gratefully, taking the quiver with both hands and taking the arrows, putting them in his inventory and equipping them in his own quiver.

Sebastian left the elves' settlement, being guided by a group of elves who decided to help him in his mission, Sebastian was fortunately being guided to the camp since if he had to find the camp, he would end up spending much more time.

The hours passed and the sun began to get stronger and stronger in the sky, until in the distance between the rocks, one of the elves could see a structure, a watchtower that the bandits had erected on a rock, to use it as a proximity warning signal.

The elves prepared their bows with arrows, but Sebastian stopped them, since he observed the trunks that had been used to create the tower, these trunks were quite proportionate so it would be impossible for a simple wooden arrow, to cross the trunk and impact the bandit.

A bandit was at the top of the tower, near a bell, which could surely be heard a few miles away, Sebastian wanted to approach to kill with his gloves the bandit, climbing the tower, but unfortunately for him, the around from the tower it was clean ground with no cover what would leave it uncovered and the bandit in panic would hit the bell alerting the whole huge camp.

"I can not use the skeletons, here, if I do, I'm more likely to kill everyone, including the hostages, I guess I should get my hands dirty, this time." Sebastian said, taking his bow from his inventory leaving it in sight of the elves, who walked away at the same time that Sebastian put on the hood / helmet of his armor and it closed, but somehow this allowed Sebastian to have vision.

The elves observed Sebastian, remembering that he had the same appearance of the hunter of the night light, so they refused to shoot, so as not to incur his wrath, as they prayed to one of the statues made in the valley, This could be considered a god, who gave a favor and could get angry and curse those who offended him, obviously Sebastian did not know this, nor did he know that he was approaching alone towards the bandit camp.

Sebastian slowly approached until he supported his back on the wall of logs that stood erect, with the intention of marking the territory of the bandits, there were two towers which had a bandit stationed in each, so Sebastian should act fast if He wanted to avoid attracting attention by taking the arrows from his quiver Sebastian felt discomfort from them, because these were arrows created by a tribe and not an expert, these arrows were very rustic and slightly more robust than the markets sold and longer, in addition to that their points of saw style, seemed to be very fragile, Sebastian wanted to change arrows, but one of the bandits in the tower turned around, so Sebastian was put in a situation against the clock and decided to use the arrow in his hand at that moment.

Sebastian tense his bow, much more than he usually did, thanks to its strength attribute, because it almost reached 400, thanks to the length of the arrow, the bow could be stretched several centimeters more giving much more strength to the arrow, when Sebastian released the arrow, is cleanly cut a part of the bandit's neck and broke a board from the roof of the tower when it came out, killing almost instantly the bandit, an unexpected result despite how the arrow looked, Sebastian decided to use those arrows to kill the bandits, without any complaint.

The second bandit in the tower approached to observe the tower where his other companion was, but I notice that he did not appear, so he worried and stretched his body out of the tower to try to see the tower on the other side, suddenly the bandit heard a sound below and saw a person with a red armor with a bow in his hand and an arrow pointing at him, the bandit tried to scream, realizing that it was impossible to get out of this situation alive, so he tried to alert others, but his attempt was totally useless since the arrow that the person with the red armor, left a hole in his chest, where was supposed to be his heart, killing him instantly.

Sebastian decided to use the same tower as a point of view to inspect the interior of the camp, the tower had a small door in the back, which seemed to be blocked by a lock, but Sebastian simply pulled the door and entered the tower going up a stair.

"I never felt so good in my life, I wonder what the inside of that camp will be like." Sebastian told himself as he reached the top of the tower and looked inside the camp.

"Come on, those boxes go in that place!" A bandit shouted orders to some elves who were carrying some boxes and carrying them over what appeared to be a wagon.

Sebastian tensed his bow again and killed other 4 bandits who were in other towers, the plan so far was complete at 25%

Sebastian under the tower using it as a point of entry to the camp hiding behind some boxes, near him was a bandit who was lying on the floor with his back in a box, so it would be an easy enemy to dispatch for Sebastian who proceeded to take him by surprise by covering his mouth and nail his glove with poisoned teeth on his back, allowing the poison to take effect.

The bandit struggled for a few seconds to remove Sebastian's hand from his mouth, but it was impossible for him and the poison finally took effect causing blood to leave his eyes, nose and mouth of the bandit, killing him slowly.

"Come on, faster!" The bandit shouted again hitting with a whip the back of the elf causing it to drop the box, the bandit immediately raised his hand with the intention of using the bow, but at that moment his hand fell to the ground, and he went into shock watching his arm which had no hand and observed between the boxes a person in red armor who was pointing with a bow.

Sebastian released the arrow and it shot out dividing into three, cutting the bandit's head into three different sections and digging into the wall of logs.

The bandit's body remained standing for a few moments until it fell to the ground and the elves remained watching the person in red armor who hid again behind the boxes for moments after leaving and pointing an arrow towards them cutting the chains that These had.

Sebastian, knew that the elves did not understand his language except for the old woman and the young girl, but it seemed that the signs they could understand them, so he signaled for them to approach him before the other bandits realized the corpse on the floor.

"It looks like we have a rat in the camp." The bandit leader said sitting in his private tent.
