Chapter 47 - The Aftermath of Interrogation

With the very agile movement of the huge beast's tentacles flailing in the room, Mandy was almost in her limit to avoid it. Most of the other students with her were already captured except for her and Kate.

He was very furious since he still can't catch Mandy by his tentacles. Leah was watching in the side, almost in her limit to explode to watch Mandy who was still moving.

'How long does he plan on doing this? I'm almost exhausted to move spontaneously. I must find his weakness to stop him.' Mandy was observing the creature, while she was avoiding every attack aimed at her.

From the consecutive movement, Mandy did not notice Kate was going in her direction. They collided, agonizing from the collision they've made. It was too late for them to react as the tentacle snaked in their body and was firm to hold them.

"Aaargg! Why, why are you doing this?" Mandy tried to ask, while she struggled to break free from the huge tentacle holding her. The creature only laugh loudly, Leah was also smirking widely.

"I have no against with students who follows the standards in the academy. But as you arrive and started to break the natural rankings, you should have known better your place from the beginning. You are a new student who is unknown to us. Your existence was too much for us to accept, since you have no origin where you came from. Now, since you are here which no one will interfere, might as well interrogate you with this few witnesses to hear you!" He stated with his very deep voice. It was then Mandy realized they already moved to a different room, there were glass cages in front. He placed each of them inside each cage individually. As he successfully placed them, he slowly shrank in his form.

Each of them tried to break the cage, but it was futile. In few minutes of struggle, they gave up on it. As Mandy felt helpless, she looked around at each of them inside and she noticed there was only four of them inside. She noticed it was Kath who was nowhere to be found. A buzz sounded as a bed came out from a door, there she saw Kath who was bloody wounded all over her body, and she was sobbing uncontrollably.

"What happened to her?" One of them was horrified by the image they just saw.

"Kath? Kath! What happened?!" Cory pounded the cage to get Kath's attention. But Kath was occupied from her sobbing and wounds all over her body that she did not hear Cory's shout at her. Cory cried as she felt useless in front of her best friend Kath. Each of them was terrified as soon as Kath was placed back to her cage, another student was taken, by an unknown creatures which was wearing a hooded robes.

Each of the students who were taken was all the same appearance when they came out from the door. From the horrifying image of the creatures, Mandy can't help wonder why the school was taken a blind eye about this. Even if they held a huge position in the Society of Monster, they should not be doing this with their own kind.

"And lastly you Mandy Frost, I can't wait to finally know what you really are." It was the voice of Leah she heard as soon as the cage was opened. Mandy was about to protest when a syringe was injected in her system. She was numbed for the time being and was dragged away from her cage. There was a clothes placed in her head, so only the floor she could see. After a while she was thrown out, undoing the cloth in her head. After several seconds, she could finally move. She noticed she was inside an empty room.

"Well, welcome to the interrogating room Mandy." A deep voice spoke out. She scanned the place but only a mirror wall could be seen. A sudden dizziness when she recalls the past again, that it made her slump down holding her head. The creature in the other room wondered what happened to her.

"Hey! What the-, don't start yet!" one of them stated.

"We did not do anything at the moment Sir." answered by the creature who was controlling the room.

"Then what's happening to her?" he asked, looking back at Mandy in the screen.

"Ignore it, Maybe she was just acting to hold us in doing anything to her." A girl creature stated.

"What a sly creature indeed." He stated then motioned to the control team to proceed.

Mandy was still finding her balance to stand. Even though she fights back from her sudden flood of memories in her past, she tried to stand still.

"Why are they doing this to us?" Mandy muttered as she glared in front of her. The creatures behind the mirror wall felt a sudden chill from her gaze, as if she was trying to warn them through her gaze.

"What the- Is she trying to scare us by that?" One of them muttered. As they pressed a button, the wall in her each side opened and revealed a group of arrows which was aimed at her.

"Now, Let us start the show." A deep voice stated. The lights inside the room turned off, as the once mirror wall flashes a statement and the conditions in it.

"Tell us, who and where you came from, if you can't answer us within a minute, these arrows will shoot all at once to you." Mandy read it and felt a sudden fear about it. As what she saw earlier, there were too many arrows for her to count which was aimed towards her. If they will shoot it at once to her, it will surely cover all over her body.

The time already started, but Mandy was still arguing to herself if she answered them or not. She does not even know how to lie an answer from them since she does not know much about them. If she gave them the right answer, she has no idea what might they do, if they let her live or not? Or what will they do if they found out she came from human beings. If that happen, it may cause another conflict to human and monster society. Even if she was not in the human society she still care what might happen to them.

As they wait for the time to pass, they felt impatient from her silence. One of them came nearer to the screen to watch closely if she starts to answer. They got startled at the sudden burst of Leah.

"What's taking her so long to answer?!" with the loud impact as she slammed the table infront of her. She was also worried the arrows will really shoot at her. They set it up for her to get the answer they want immediately if she saw it, but it looks like it never scared her too much.

"He-hey, are we really doing this? It might kill her immediately." One of them stated.

"It won't hurt her if she answered already. The machine was automatic once the answer will be received." One explained and was not hiding it also made him a little nervous from the time she was still not answering.

"Hey! Only 10 seconds left, what are we going to do?" warned by the controller creature assigned.

"Have you forgotten there's no off switch for this? Only she could save herself by answering it."

"Why is it hard for her to answer? It's a simple question!" They never left their attention from the skin.

"We must do something, it looks like she will not answering it." They could only watch as the counting down reached to 1 to 0. The arrows fired at her, blood splattered all over the screen. They could only watch in horror as they judge the image of Mandy was already dead by it.

"Wha-what are we going to do now? It will surely reach to the higher ups if a student was missing?" she stated while her hands were trembling.

"We could just tell them that she run away from the campus." One reasoned out, but it clearly shows he felt guilty about it.

Only one from them moved on from the incident as she pressed a button. The door opened, as she slowly walks toward the body of Mandy covered by arrows. She does not understand what she felt but she was looking intently in the figure infront of her. It was not in her intention to really kill her, she just want to know the truth from her. But, if she does not want to reveal the truth she should have lied an answer to them. She was blaming herself for it.
