It was a very fine day for Mandy to train herself. Since tomorrow is the Selection Day, the Rulers won't be there for her. They have few things to arrange for tomorrow's event, so they just gave her some time to prepare. In past days, she noticed Leah was avoiding her. She was even startled when they bump to each other when entering the room. Mandy already knows she's responsible for what just happened to them, but to watch her react that way was kind of weird for her to understand. Since as what she knows about Leah, she's a type of creature who would not easily back away when facing a rival.
She also noticed, when she approach Cory and Kath to ask if they were fine after what just happened to them, they just shrugged and said they enjoy the welcome celebration the student council prepared for them. She assumed she was dreaming at that day, but she just returned from the infirmary, saying she fell from the veranda. She thought they have lost their memory about it. They must have removed their memory from that day, but how can she still remember it? Even the moment when the arrows pierced in her body, she can remember how painful it was.
It really seemed they don't have any idea about it, so she ignored it, since she's the only one who can remember it.
As Mandy went back to train with the Rulers, Morgan keeps on pressuring her in every fight they have. He makes so many trick that Mandy could not catch up sometimes. As the time passed, she can finally manage to control her senses in her ability.
First, she can manipulate objects from her surroundings. She practiced in it, since only small object that she can manage to float in her will. Second, she can move faster more than she normally could in the past months. Third, she can see memories from other creature. It was when she was sparing with Drake and Falcon that she accidentally saw their slight image of memory from them. That's why she always stumbled when she fights them, which the two creatures wondered her absent mindness in their match.
As for Vanisa and Selena, they were not around for the past days. She tried to ask Drake, which he immediately answered they were having a task to finish for the week. She did not pry too much in it and continued her training.
Back to her training with them, she tried to use her idea about her ability towards them. Since most of the time she stumbled from seeing their memory, she can't successfully do it. But, as she getting used of blocking her ability to see memories from them, she tried to watch every part of their ability they have. She tried to visualize it, but she failed to copy it. She tried another strategy on blocking their attacks. Falcon releases some fire at her, which she felt burned by it, but as she looked at the supposed to be burned flesh, it healed already. That's she realizes she have the ability to heal herself. She was occupied in the abilities she possesses. She wondered where she got it. It was different from the Drake, Falcon and Selena. It's either from Vanisa or Morgan, but when and how did she have it? It only the two of them she could think to have the abilities about it.
She could only groan at the thought she failed to come up with the idea how she got their abilities. From the consecutive match with Falcon and Drake she successfully uses their ability, but she failed to know how she manages to have it, since it only came out when she spared with Morgan.
"Still, it is a good start." Mandy beamed as she closes her eyes to meditate. Mandy's senses were also sharp now, that she noticed someone entered the training room. She did not move since she knew who it was. The creature was watching her intently that it irritates her for some reason.
"I thought I'm free from your presence for today? How come you came here?" Mandy spoke without opening her eyes.
"You are not wrong with that. I, as always ahead of them when doing my job that I got so much free time left, am I not allowed coming here? " He answered back, while he sat comfortably in the lounge area around the training room. Even it was a few meters away from her; she still could not stand his presence around and the way he stared at her.
'Ugh, why bother to notice him. I should just focus in the meditation.' She grumbled to her head. She tried to erase the presence of Morgan. As she successfully did it, she continued to concentrate in her inner energy that was accumulating in the past few days. She was able to notice it changes its color and size in the past days she meditates.
A chill she felt all of a sudden as she opened her eyes. It came from her back; she immediately got up and blocked the icicles towards her. She looked at where the attack came from; she saw a white figure that flee away, which Morgan immediately followed. She followed Morgan from the back, trying to catch up with him.
"What was that?! Why did that creature attacked me?!" Mandy shout as she almost in Morgan's side. 'Why am I asking for answers from him? He was just with me a while ago.' Mandy scolded herself.
"Better I catch it, to find the answer myself." Mandy spoke out since Morgan did not answer her. She transformed into a wolf, but she could only hold it in few minutes. Before that time comes, she must already capture the creature.
It was the right idea, since she could run pass Morgan and bolt to the creature ahead. She passed several trees, as she pounces at the back of the creature. She landed on it, with the hooded cloth covering its body. Lifting its clothes sleeves, she turned around the creature. It was actually preparing to attack her, when a spike was going from her side. She was about to transform back when Morgan dissolve the spike.
"Stop fighting your way out! We cornered you already. Now, reveal yourself, who are you?" Mandy lifted the creature while holding its both hands behind. The creature could only kneel as Mandy holding it tightly. Morgan removed immediately its hood. It was scrawny creature, with its white hair, a huge goggle eyes, a tiny nose, a set of sharp teeth and it have a huge foot which doesn't match from the height.
"I am not telling you!" it spoke hardly.
"Let me handle this Mandy." Morgan said, as he touched its head. Mandy then realized what he just did, so she also followed he was doing. They entered its memory as they scan its set of event.
"You should get out Mandy, you're interrupting me." Morgan stated as few memories was flashing through it. Since they were controlling which memory they were supposedly watching. Mandy let him do as what he wants, and just watch with him.
It was not long when they found the reason why the creature was attacking her. It was a younger brother of Leah, named Felix. It was his own motive to hurt Mandy, since she's the reason why Leah rarely gets home. The last time he saw her, was that she was very injured and was very angry about it. He heard the name of Mandy, that's when he tried to find her. He always sneaks out from their campus just to try to find Mandy. He tried so many times to assault her, but it always fails since he was always interrupted. It was now that he has the chance to assault her.
"So Leah has other sibling? How did he end up doing this at a young age?" Mandy said as she let go the hand of the child named Felix. He was now sound asleep after they abuse too much his young memory. Mandy noticed the once sharp look of Morgan turned back to normal.
"We must bring him to the council hall. I must make a warning for this incident and lecture this child." Morgan stated, but Mandy wondered if he means she must hold the child and follow him. She was not a council yet, but she already must do this. She can no longer contradict since she was a victim to it that she must also attend the forum.
